We moved into our apartment a little over two years ago and though I had hired cleaning services previously (I wasn't super impressed with any we had found so far), I was intrigued by Lucy's "deep clean" option. She responded immediately to my email and came by that day to give me an estimate, which I appreciated because it's nice to connect with someone who will be spending the day in my home and going through and cleaning all of my belongings. I immediately got the BEST vibe from her and even my cat was a fan :). The deep clean was a little pricey, but she discussed how her team would be cleaning things I had legitimately never even considered cleaning before, so I felt it was worth it to do at least once and then focus on upkeep. She brought her team here (two cleaning professionals) two days later and they spent THE ENTIRE DAY in the apartment. I was so impressed that they did not cut any corners or give up half way through the job (even though I paid a flat rate and not hourly) because of time (this has happened to me countless times here in SF). My oven looked brand new, my furniture had all been moved and cleaned behind, my baseboards and ceiling dusted and cleaned, my blinds soaked and washed and even our closet had been organized. VERY IMPRESSED. It is so hard in these old SF homes to really ever have a spotless home, but our home was indeed spotless when they left and our allergies have significantly decreased (old buildings are the WORST for allergies). The Need: I've developed sever allergies since moving from SF to the peninsula so I needed someone to do a deep cleaning of my home and then continue with regular semi-monthly cleaning. The Process: Lucy came to my home to meet me in person and give me an estimate. This made me very comfortable with letting someone new into my home. Lucy understood my allergy issues and took great notes on what I needed. The Service: The deep clean was very thorough. I was impressed to see the team of two cleaning closet shelves and inside cabinets. They even re-organized my linen and cleaning supply closet (they asked before starting) and it looks great. And I'm pretty sure I could eat off my floors if I wanted to. But I really appreciate the details. They cleaned out my toaster, washed my balcony, vacuumed the dog beds and refreshed toilet paper supplies in both bathrooms. They used my vacuum (at my request) and cleaned it when they were done. The co-op rules required outside help to have liability insurance & worker's comp, which narrowed down the field considerably. If I could give Spotless Cleaning Services 6 stars I would! When I first contacted Lucy, I was desperate. The power outage in October had led to an "explosion" of mildew in my older dusty (and frankly cluttered) house. I had a mold remediation company remove carpeting, tent rooms, filter the air, scrub and sanitize, etc., but most of my clothes, bedding, books, closets, etc., got contaminated, and I got sick with pneumonia, to boot. Frankly, I was a blubbering mess when Lucy came by the house to give me an estimate. Long story a little shorter, after assessing the situation, she gave me a hug and said simply (words to the effect) "Don't worry, I'm going to help you. And help me she did! Prior to starting the job, Lucy helped me go through my closets and bookshelves and throw out things that had gotten musty or that I simply didn't want any more. She helped me cart all the trash outside, then loaded her vehicle with all the clothes and bedding I wanted to keep to wash them for me. (She later told me that she washed everything 2-3 times, to make sure everything was clean!) A few days later, Lucy plus three of her employees arrived to clean my house like it's never been done before. There ended up being so much to do that they came back the next morning to finish up. However, by the time they were done, the house was nearly spotless. Lucy and crew paid attention to every wall, surface, fixture, molding, etc., etc. and even helped with rearranging furniture. They were polite, friendly, hard working and efficient. I forgot to mention that when Lucy realized I had throw away so much of my stuff, she drove me to Target to get blankets and a hat and scarf for myself, while she picked up my clothing from her office, so that when we returned, everything was clean, and she was able to make my beds and put my clothing away neatly. While I suppose the job was "expensive", I'm sure that it would have cost me hundreds of dollars more with another company, without the extra perks of exquisite caring and kindness. In sum, I can't say enough good things about Lucy, et. al. I highly recommend Spotless Cleaning. They are absolutely awesome! read more

Overall, not a great experience. The team was 45 min late for the move out clean that I'd scheduled. While the owner was super responsive, she didn't know where they were, nor could she get ahold of them. When they arrived I let them know I was only contacting for two hours. Came back when at the time they indicated and they needed one more hour to finish. The house was completely empty, all I wanted done was the kitchen and one bathroom plus vacuum and mop. The bathroom, fridge and floor were not done after two hours, which makes me wonder what was cleaned in that time frame.
