When you arrive to the location, it is a nearly empty strip mall. there is plenty of parking around, and the facility is located within a chiropractors office. The masseuse, Pernille Stephens had a lot of professional certifications on the wall. the massage was 'fair' at best. She asked me what areas were needing the most attention, and i told her my shoulders and back. she spent around 30 minutes combined on the shoulders and back. she was a great person to talk with, until i dozed off from the massage. it was very soothing, however i was awoken a few times by her coughing...(like a sick cough). I knew she wasn't covering her mouth, as both hands were being used to massage me. (kinda skeeved by that). What also bothered me was when i looked up, i saw her cell phone on, and she was watching a video on there, and had a earpiece in her ear to listen to the video. there were times where she was just standing there, then would gasp then go back to doing the massage. There were also times when she would work on other body parts (such as my arms or legs) and it was specifically told not to (had surgery on my knee), and she was quite rough on those areas...made me wince a few times. Despite the terrible coughing, watching the video while giving a massage and the desolate location, the massage was decent enough to give me some much needed sleep. I would never consider going back, and am kinda upset that i spent $79 for the massage...but i guess you live and learn...then YELP!

The prices are higher than your chain massage parlors, but trust me, you are getting what you pay for!! They are so great to schedule with as well. I called on a weekend desperate for an appointment and the owner picked up and arranged for me to get in asap all while she was helping her daughter move into her college dorms. Then Patty, the massage therapist I was connected with, texted me to arrange a time that worked for both of us and was even kind of enough to let me know she had gotten there earlier than we had scheduled so I was welcome to come in early. I don't know about you but no chain has ever treated me that well. Patty is magical. I went to her with pain in my forearm and soreness in my back and she worked on me for the full 90 minutes (not docking me for 10 minutes to dress and 10 minutes to get on the table like so many of the chains do). She didn't try to upsell me anything (hot stones, supplements, etc.) and gave me truly helpful advice and anecdotes on what to do to help me stay out of pain. I've already referred two additional people to HOA and plan on going back asap! Also, if you have good insurance, definitely check with them for reimbursement as HOA is a medical massage facility.
