I let her know, you can go as hard as you want! I was originally thinking a chiropractor would be needed to work on my sore muscles but....She seemed to magically find points that needed work and somehow "moved" the pain away! She did an AMAZING job of stretching my lower back area and I was so happy to find she really knew what she was doing. Being able to use the rails to stand on me really made a big difference. She seemed to know how all the nerves in my body connected, finding pain originating in one area and "taking" it away. The massage therapists were fantastic- they asked us if we had any pressure preferences and what areas to focus on. My only complaint was the up-sell to a different lotion, which didn't seem to merit a $10 fee. Thieves. I came in on the 22nd of February and paid 92 for a massage. Left a tip and it totaled 117. On the 23rd it cleared my account at the bank. On the 25th there was another transaction of 92 which also cleared. I called the location to see what happened and the man was adimate that I was wrong. It clearly states on the transaction history what happened. I have been coming here for years and always had great service. I refuse to get robbed for an additional 92 after already paying and leaving a generous tip. Don't come here if you don't want to be robbed. They recently raised their prices so it doesn't have a value to give them business anymore in my book. There are plenty of other places so go to. It was Tuesday night and my neck and back where bothering me so I looked up to see it there was a massage place close to my house that was open later at night and I found this one. Big mistake the gentleman who did my massage first thing I walked in and employees were on their phone and continued on there phone, no mask on. Put me in a room with a see through sheet. Luckily I laid face down the whole time. Still no mask on. the massage was awful just kept massaging in the same place for like 5 minutes, never asked what is hurting or needs attention. Today was my first visit to A#1 Massage, and it was not for pleasure (it was occasioned by an excruciating backache that had plagued me for two days and a sleepless night). My masseuse was nothing short of a miracle worker. She was able to use the edges and ends of the massage table to "get vertical" and leverage her full body weight into the areas of my back that needed some serious elbow grease (see their Chinese medical massage description). She also employed some hot stones mid-massage, which felt incredible on my aching back. My wife and I have done the head to toe here a couple of times. It was decent. Today we went for the couples full body massage. It was basically just a rub down. My "masseuse" didn't massage me at all. I couldn't tell if it was her first day or if she just didn't want to be there. I left tired and agitated, not relaxed. The only reason I'm leaving two stars is because my wife found her massage to be satisfactory, however still not a full body primarily focusing on her back. My husband and i went in for a couple's massage, the women we had were more interested in talking to themselves, in their native language; for all we knew they were talking about us. I was so looking forward to a good massage experience after reading reviews on yelp and a Facebook post however I unfortunately was not impressed. I did the 1 hour combo. The massage room was freezing- it felt like it was about 65 degrees in the room. The sheet to cover up with once you got undressed was the thinnest sheet I have seen and it was about the size of a crib sheet so that certainly didn't help me warm up. No space heater in the room, no heating pad on the bed. The girl that gave my massage was friendly however I don't believe she had much training on massage at all. You can tell when someone actually knows how to massage vs when they have been taught 3 moves and they repeat those over and over for the allotted time. I honestly don't think she could differentiate spots on my back and shoulders that were tight or had knots bc she went right over them and paid no special attention to them at all. She also had me put my arms hanging over the side of the table and left them there for around 20 minutes making my arms go numb. Again, anyone trained would know to not leave them like that more than necessary. The foot massage was also lacking. I don't feel like she had any clue how to do a foot massage. I have been to many asian massage places and so I am very familiar with the expectations and experience. I won't be going back to this one. read more

I have tried almost every massage place in the Cumming area. I was a member of massage envy for over three years. I left ME (because I was very unhappy there) and tried A#1. I have massages every 3 weeks. I have been using A1 for 2 years. They are Tai influenced massages. My favorite. I use Annie most of the time. I have been getting massages regularly my adult life. They do get on the table (100% normal in Tai), and use elbow & knee pressure. If anything is not comfortable for me(I am a senior), I let them know & they immediately accommodate me. Communication is key. They have been very nice. I have had A+++++ massages there every time. I get 90 minutes. I always feel like new when I leave. My husband has started going because of how much this has been improving my daily wellness. He likes the foot, head & neck package they offer. I can't wait, our next appointment is tomorrow. I have received several great chair massages from this establishment. After being given a lot of grief using a card to pay after my first visit, I made sure to pull cash on subsequent visits. At my last visit, I had the $40 cash for my service and asked for change out of another twenty. The woman who gave me a massage said she only had tens. I didn't think that the service was worth more than a 20% tip, and she is not a waitress working for $2/hr. So I took the change and was prepared to get proper change elsewhere and tip her on my way back though town. As I put the cash in my wallet, the woman looked at me and said, "You didn't tip me." I explained that I didn't intend to tip her over 20%. She rudely insisted on her $10 tip. I gave it to her and left. I will never go back to that establishment. read more
