Great pasties. We tried the beef, frozen and warmed at home. Tasted fresh and they were great, just wish there was rutabaga in it.

We loved that they had so many choices! We tried chicken, beef, veggie, and cherry dessert pasties and they were all amazing! They have a really cute dining area if you are traveling and just want to relax while eating. The location was great and easy to see. The owners were friendly and helpful. This incredibly convenient location was the cherry on the top. We took our delicious chicken pastie for me and beef pastie for my friend (and a yummy cherry pastie for dessert) directly across the street to a bridge view park. Better than the other pasties in the area for sure! We had the beef which was stuffed with plenty of meat and veggies. The cherry dessert pastie was great. Took off a star for the yucky canned gravy that is served everywhere. I'll be back for my once a year pastie fix. read more

Wow. This place is unfortunately way too far for us to visit regularly. It has been the best food on this trip for sure! We ordered: Beef: 10/10 topped with their brown gravy. Pure perfection. Vegetable: 10/10 My daughter ended up claiming this one. The gravy doesn't pair as well as with the beef but that was to be expected. Chicken Pot Pie: 100/10 hands down best chicken pot pie I've ever had. The crust.. incredible. This was pure perfection. Strawberry Rhubarb: 10/10 incredible dessert! Blueberry: 10/10 Looooooooved this more than the strawberry. Pure perfection. read more

Loved the pasties! Owner waited on us. She was super nice! Pasties had a little different dough than I've had before, but it was good. The meat and vegetable mixture was typical, but the potatoes were sliced instead of diced, but I liked it. I would definitely recommend! So yummy! read more

This is a very clean, neat shop with tables inside and picnic tables outside. It looks a to be a repurposed gas station. That is where the common observations end. If you are seeking a traditional pasty, this is not the place. If you are seeking a GREAT AND TASTY different kind of pasty, this IS IT! It is a little different in looks and taste, all in a good way. Wow, the crust is almost a pastry filled with delicious beef and vegetables! It was soooo good! I don't know if the other flavors will be as lovely, but it surely will be fun to try them. It is a new take on a time-honored UP classic meal. I had to try the cherry dessert pasty, too. Very nice. It reminded me a bit of a danish pastry, but was not overly sweet. Excellent idea, and I hope it will not be a year or so before I can return. I want to try the blueberry,and the rhubarb-strawberry. As a Michigander, I can take pride in recommending Sposito"s Pasties. One of the newest in the U.P., it distinguishes itself from all others Excellent , thick, flaky crust. Delicious meat , chicken, or vegetable with fillings of potatoes, rutabaga,etc. My preference is to have it wet with their tasty gravy and served hot.Carry out is available,but we dined in for the service at immaculate tables. Not only is everything freshly baked and made, as an added bonus , they have outstanding desert cherry pasties or homemade fudge that rival the best Mackinaw could offer.The owners are on site, welcoming and proud of their offerings. Pasties were amazing! On the way in we had beef with a side of gravy. A week later on the way out my husband had beef (and gravy) but i tried the veggie, OMG, it was just as good as the beef. Beef pastie was tasty. Crust wasn't how I like it- no lard perhaps. We also got a cherry pastie- brought it home and heated in the oven- it was ok . Service was very quick and courteous. They had a little farmers market in the 2nd section of their converted gas station. Very cool. read more

Generous sized pasties. Liked the beef pasty and crust, but not the "veggie". I was expecting carrots/potato/rutabaga/maybe celery and it was all potato with specs of broccoli and corn. Disappointing. read more

Sposito's Pasties is my go to pastie destination in or around St Ignace, Michigan. The food is amazing! The service is amazing! Very friendly and helpful! Great variety of teas and such to drink! Have varieties of fudge. One stop for whole meal. Pasties, dessert pastie pies, cookies, fudge. You won't leave hungry. I choose no gravy, but sure it is as awesome as the rest of the food. Two tables to eat inside. Picnic tables outside. Or get it to go and take it anywhere. (Roadside park just across SR 2). Would give them a rating of 10 if I could. They also ship! I found this pasty to be very good. On the same day, as I was driving across the UP, I tried Sposito's , Lehto's and Dobbers in Escanaba. This one is by far the best. It had more meat than the others. The flavor was very good. It was not mushy inside. The crust was tender and flavorful. If you'd like a little more salt, be sure to grab a packet to add. read more
