Will try to obtain bank details and then not give a refund
Was bought some Merrell aurora ice for christmas but they fell apart and were unwearable in under 2 years, suggesting they were faulty. I approached Sportisimo as under EU law sports goods are supposed to be guaranteed over 2 years. This company made out I would get a refund after I sent pictures of the faulty goods to them. They requested I courier them back and attempted to illicit bank details from me, even though I had a receipt and was not the buyer, as the shoes were gift.
They kept me waiting for 6 weeks apparently sending the boots to Prague from their headquarters in an industrial estate in Telford, and having to wait to contact Merrell guarantee specialists (????). After nearly a month and a half of waiting, and refusing to give them my bank details, they send an email through stating that my guarantee status had 'changed', so no refund then. I am now out of pocket for couriers fees and new boots, not happy. read more
