That being said, I did find exactly what I was looking for (black, knee-high, leather boots with good heels and soles for those pesky, slippery cobblestones) at a price that was almost a third less than the pair I saw at another retail shoe store across the river in New Town. I'm tempted to go back to see what else I can find. The only catch is that they only carry women's shoes, so my husband was out of luck.

I ended up buying a pair of winter boots here and the prices were comparable to prices online in the UK or Germany, in fact, a tad less. They have a good variety of female and male shoes and plenty of casual shoes for men. I would come back here again for the selection, the service and the prices.

They sell scarves, handbags and other accessories too. I was happy because I bought a pair of Chie Miharas on sale and will be happier once I receive the VAT refund. Leiser is a few steps across the Powder Tower in Old Town. The sales staff are nice and speak English, as do most everyone in Prague.
