This packing slip was in the box, so these shoes were already returned once...
    Amanda Y.

I am super disappointed with my Sporting Life experience. I heard about them from a friend and thought I would try them out. On September 22, 2020 I purchased a pair of size 6.5 Nikes (the same brand and size as my current runners), I received a shipping notification on September 23, 2020. For the next week, I was unable to track my order so I reached out to Sporting Life, I was told they'd look into it, and magically my tracking number started working...when it did, the status was that my order was sitting in a secured location (what the heck?!) but has not actually moved. I followed up again and was told it was out of their control and they'd have Canada Post investigate, but that would take another 10-15 days. I asked for a refund and they refused, only stating that Canada Post was investigating. Fast forward. I received my shoes, nearly a month later on Sept 16. Keeping in mind, these are the same brand and size as my current runners...oddly, they were actually larger (see pic), however, the hole for the ankle is SO SMALL that there was absolutely no possible way my foot was getting in there. I prepared to package these shoes up so they could be returned, when I found another packing slip, assumingly from someone else who had returned the shoes already. The box was damaged too. In my opinion, this is a shady operation and I will not be supporting them again.

Drew Who refued to provide customer service and my binding that was supposed to be fice. It is clearly 6 in the picture.

I purchased my whole set of ski equipment here and had them mounted in this location as well. I met some quite nice sales here. The customer service manager Called Dan is quite helpful. But l had a terrible experience today. I realized that my bindings we're mounted too tight. I brought the skis to the store to verify and have them adjusted. This sales Called Drew threw me a big attitude. He showed me a chart and told me it should be set at 5 and refused to provided me any more service. I explained to him that the mounting is showing more than 5, closer to 6.My coach told me they feel the mounting is too tight and ask me to double check. He shouted to me literally "stop" while l was talking to him. When another younger sales tried to help, He shouted at me to that l should stop wasting other people's time. It all happened within the only 3 minutes that l talked to him. I told him his attitude is very rude! Please see the picture of the previous binding. The customer service manager Dan helped me to adjust the skis to 5 and appologized for his rude behavior. I will totally avoid this sales person Drew! I don't know what is on his mind. He looks fine when He was chatting with someone he knows or his friend before me for a long time. I feel he is totally out of control today. His manager appolized for him. He should totally feel ashamed as all the other staff are doing their good jobs to give this location a good name I will certainly be more careful if he gives any suggestions.

Sporting Life is a place I love to browse around and trying on clothes. They carries the latest fashions in ski jackets and down jackets.. both functional and stylish. Of course there is a price tag to match. You can also found newest accessories for the sport persons as gifts and they are all of good qualities. If you are into racquet sports, they do have demo racquets that you can sign out and try before you buy! I think that is an excellent service. The staffs here are all professional and friendly and the selections is just great! However, I usually go to the Sherway Gardens location though, since they have huge markdown all the time. But the staffs and the vibes are not as good as the Yonge Street location.

Tags fully detached from jacket. Strings were cut off!!!! Arrived unzipped tossed into bag then shipping boxed.

Such poor customer service. The store has so many employees walking around but no help. Very disappointing.

Prices are the same any where for Canada Goose, which we ended up buying, but service like this is not common.

Methinks not. Basically it's overpriced travel / sports clothing. They had some nice rain coats from North Face however. Might be worth a look in the winter time when they have the winter coats out. We shall see!

I came here for one thing specifically... and ONLY because everywhere else I called around town weren't willing to, or couldn't, order it in for me but they seem to have a nice (yet limited) supply of mostly higher end gear and clothing. I doubt very much that I would shop here again as there are other places which have a far greater selection for lower prices. One thing I was certainly disappointed with was that they didn't honour the '10% off your purchase' check-in offer. The owner claimed to know nothing about it... I'm not quite sure how that would happen.

Best bike shop in Toronto!…read more They have plenty of selection for mountain bikers, roadies, cross riders and pretty much any other biking discipline you can think of. They carry top of the line brands and will have an option for any size, price point or specialty request. The customer service their is marvellous. Everyone is super personable, understanding and willing to help you the second you walk in. They gave me a really good price on a new mountain bike (close to $500 off), gave me a great discount on clipped peddles and threw in almost $100 dollars worth of other accessories. All bikes come with a long warranty backed by a few of the best bike mechanics in the GTA (in my experience). Repair times depend on the mechanic you get but 95% of the time the repairs are super fast. I've never had a problem remerge or not be fully fixed after taking it there. They have everything a veteran rider, beginner cyclist or anyone in-between could ever want and more. They sell bikes (of course), biking attire (both loose MTB gear and aerodynamic lycra), any kind of bike part, bike maintenance things, turbo trainers and so much more. TLDR; Trust me and go to this store for any of your biking needs and you will not regret it!

Since it is not located in a shopping mall like the Eaton's Centre, they also allow dogs into the store as they leave a water bowl and some treats to encourage four-legged shoppers. The staff I find are helpful when you need them and they are plenty of change rooms if you want to try before you decide. The slight negative is if they do have what you are looking on floor for but it is in a box according to their inventory tracking system, they don't open the box during store hours but can hold the product for you for the next day. If you don't live in the neighbourhood and are taking the TTC, it's not the most convenient location. If you plan to drive, because you're far enough from both Eglinton and Lawrence, you'll probably find street parking. I'm not going to review their clothing as I reserve that for their own website but I do really like it. I'm also not much of a yoga person so I will add that I enjoy their line of running wear as it leads into my next topic, their run club. Tuesdays at 6:30pm, this store is the meeting place for their run club. If you're a serious marathoner or even half-marathoner, this might not be the place for you. If you want to run a nice evening 5k with a nice group of people, then this is right for you. Routes are planned in advance and posted in their Facebook group and they usually target a 5k or 10k race somewhere in the city as motivation. On the basis of the location (for me), the men's section, service, and the run club, I give the 5-star rating.
