I've been a long time customer of The Shoe Company. This location in particular I feel deserves feedback for anyone thinking of shopping at ANY Shoe Company retail store. This location has a huge parking lot, just be careful bc plenty don't know how to drive in this area! Public Transit isn't but a few minutes away due to the bus "station" Staff varies there some are very helpful some are too shy. Their prices are reasonable considering the wide range of name brands they have. Sizing can be an issue, so don't contemplate for too long bc once you find a size and shoe you love/like you better grab them! They definitely don't have them on the shelf for too long. Now, here's a particular experience I just had. They didn't have the size I needed so we ordered it as it was available from their website. HOWEVER, the cashier did not mention why the shoe was discounted for ordering it than the price it had on the shelf but a size a couldn't use. We then placed the order. it was delivered to my house for free. Turns out the wrong size came in, apparently a stupid mistake bc I didn't realize nor did she... that the size was a half size too big. When it came in the mail.. we noticed it was too big of a shoe. I went back for an exchange. The exact same shoe. but, different size. They could not honor the price I got originally. and they also said its from the time I paid not when the shoe arrived.. so it was "too far back" do them to honor the sale price. I had to dish out an extra 50$. The weird thing is the cashier insisted to have the supervisors look at why the price from the new size IN STORE was a higher price... they went back and forth in discussion and literally said they will not honor the price I paid. Sigh... had I know all these little rules/ policies I would have paid closer attention to the order and not trust what the cashier was doing.

We were keeping our distance when lining up to pay and while walking up to the counter, the manager yelled at my mum to "hurry up, we don't have time for this when the store is this busy". My mum took at most an extra half a minute to walk up to the counter due to her disability and there were only 2 other people behind us. Regardless is that anyway to speak to a person? This manager is not just rude but seems to lack any form of human decency or respect for others. I told her that her yelling was uncalled for and that we had also been waiting like all the other customers but she cut me off and went on about how she doesn't have time for this - she spent more time yelling at us instead of just cashing us out. I was ready to walk out without buying the shoes but my mum needed them. After paying, she then says the system is frozen and we would have to wait. She pushed us to a side and helped others. We couldn't even walk out because we had paid and the transaction already showed up on our credit card account but the manager claimed it wasn't showing up. An hour later and we were still waiting, we had already paid but could not leave with the shoes and had to wait for a call for them to confirm the payment went through. Not getting an item I paid for is one thing but yelling at a customer over a disability? Softmoc should be disgraced at how vulgar and rude the store manager, Kayla is. National Sports has changed a ton over the years. It might not have these active places but they still carry a ton of athletic apparel and gear at hugely discounted rates. The store is sectioned off into two main spaces. The first part where you enter holds the checkout area and all of your sporting and outdoor needs. They have stuff for men's, women's, and junior's. The entire middle section of the store is tables and tables of shoes that are separated by size and out of the box. They have a lot of good brands like Nike, Asics, New Balance, and UnderAmour to name a few. Everything is already at a pretty good price but there is a clearance section on the left wall of the store as well. I spotted some nice pieces from The North Face but they were still a bit pricey. The other part of the store is their licensed apparel and goods section for all of the Toronto teams including the Leafs, Jays, Raptors, and TFC. Outside of the normal team wear, there were framed and signed Leafs jerseys, framed Raps home finals tickets (replica), and collectibles like tiny lego Leafs players, and team flags for hanging and cars. This area also had a special kiosk for customizable jerseys here for all of the major sports. I was surprised to see that they had some jerseys and hats for other NFL/NBA/NHL teams and some of the bigger soccer teams as well. I had come looking for some Raptors wear at a lower price. They didn't have any jerseys and some of the shirts looked a little cheaper than what you find online at the official NBA store but I managed to find a nice sweatshirt and a hat that fit my head pretty well. They were having a 20% off sale on lowest ticketed price of a lot of the licensed team merchandise when I was browsing, so I wound up getting both for $50 after tax.
