Although I usually avoid oriental medicine clinics because I tend to bruise from acupuncture, I decided to visit Nature Acupuncture & Herb Clinic based on a friend's recommendation. Dr. Lee carefully assessed my condition, asking detailed questions and monitoring me closely throughout the treatment. Acupuncture was applied to my feet, abdomen, and hands. Acupressure on my head and the back of my neck relieved my headache and eased the tension in my stomach. A gentle hands-on treatment on my abdomen further helped my stomach feel more comfortable. After about 30 minutes, my nausea was almost completely gone, and the dizziness had greatly improved. I still felt some fatigue, but the relief was remarkable. There was no bruising at all. Dr. Lee's sincerity and attentive care left a strong impression on me. I would definitely return!

I'm so grateful to have found such a gifted and compassionate holistic acupuncturist. Dr. Yu truly listens, sees the whole person, and creates a space that feels safe, grounding, and genuinely healing. She has a rare ability to meet you exactly where you are, ask thoughtful questions, and customize each treatment with care and intention. Her approach is thoughtful, personal, and deeply restorative. Her skill feels both intuitive and mindful, and I have experienced more progress in my healing with Dr. Yu than I have with many other practitioners in the healing space. I highly recommend her if you are searching for a truly excellent acupuncturist and human being.

Dr. Erica Yang is a MIRACLE WORKER! She restored and completely healed my numb thumb condition that…read moreI had been suffering with for the past year. Dr. Erica did what none of my Hoag doctors could do with steroid injections or physical therapy. Even the orthopedic surgeon I met with shook his head and said there was nothing he could do to help me. I even went to a different acupuncture doctor (highly rated on Yelp and relatively inexpensive) who tried to treat me for my numb thumb issue but even he couldn't figure out what to do. He treated me for a month and was puzzled the whole time and said he had never dealt with this type of issue before. This is when I realized that not all acupuncturists are the same. Out of sheer desperation and hopelessness, I reached out to Dr. Erica Yang who compassionately listened to my nine month journey that finally led me to her. She examined my thumb and said she knew how to treat me. She said that she had treated neuropathy numerous times before, and she was confident that she could grow and revive the dead nerves in my left thumb. But before we even started treatment, she asked me to commit to a three month treatment plan. She said that is how long it usually takes to grow and restore dead and damaged nerves and that I needed to be patient because change would not happen overnight. I committed to the plan and Dr. Erica worked her magic. Three months later, I have full feeling restored in my thumb just as she said would happen!!! During the time I was being treated, Dr. Erica also treated me for sleep disruption due to my restless feet which she diagnosed as nerve issues going haywire. She recommended a diet plan to help me with my weight loss journey due to menopause (I lost 8 pounds within five weeks of the diet), and she treated me for a variety of other issues as well. She is a wealth of knowledge and treats the whole person for long term health. She is passionate about helping people with her craft and she is brilliant at it. She is a gift to those enlightened enough to seek her for healing and help. If you are on the fence about seeking treatment at Empowered You Acupuncture because it's "too far" or "too expensive," you need to stop making excuses and go. The sooner you start treatment, the sooner you will get the healing you need.

My gynecologist tried to put me on birth control to mitigate the pain which I declined due to the negative long term side effects. At one point I was advised to have a hysterectomy at 37 knowing very that I still hope to have kids one day. I switched Drs and she does her best to work with me. When she realized that I wanted a more holistic route to healing and managing my symptoms she recommended acupuncture. I had heard about acupuncture, most of it was negative but I was desperate. I decided to try it, I had nothing to lose. After getting my referral I had to choose an acupuncturist based on location. There were many options and I honestly was worried I would get someone that might not care or that was rude. My medical provider is Kaiser and most of the staff is rude. They treat you like a number and like they really don't care about you. I didn't want that to be my experience with my acupuncturist so, I prayed. I prayed "God, please help me find a good Dr." . Out of all the options I had I picked Dr. Kim, and I am so happy that I did. Dr. Kim is the kindest, positive, most supportive Dr. I have ever met. She makes me feel like she truly cares and like she listens to me. She doesn't make me feel like a number or like she just wants to check me off her list and get me out of the office. Not only is Dr Kim the kindest and most caring Dr but her office is always clean and organized. Everything is sanitary and you are given your privacy. Dr Kim asks you questions and actually listens prior to being treated. The beds have heating pads and she plays the most relaxing music. After your treatment she checks in and gives you directions on how to best recover from the treatment . If you ever have any questions she responds quickly and makes sure whatever concern you have is resolved. Since starting my treatment 3 months ago I can honestly say that acupuncture has helped improve my condition significantly. Though I was referred for the issues mentioned above Dr Kim has demonstrated her support in other areas as well. I struggle with my weight and she is more than willing to give advice and support as needed. I can honestly say that Dr Kim is the best Dr I have ever met and I wish there were more Drs like her. Drs that you could tell that they love what they do and that genuinely want to help people. Thank you Dr Kim for all that you've done for me!

I have been diagnosed with metatarsalgia - a painful foot condition, I always feel like I am stepping on something- it's terrible. The podiatrist I consulted suggested surgery, not what I want. My acupuncturist swears he can fix it, but I would have to stay off the foot for a while, harder than you might think. I figured a chiropractor would be my last resort while I was in town. I was able to get an appointment and explained the situation to Dr. Song. He attached me to some machines, manipulated my foot, and rubbed some oil on it. He also took time to instruct me on a couple of stretches I could do to keep it feeling better. I walked out of the first visit feeling better than I had since I injured my foot. I came back a couple of days later for the same thing and here I am a week later on the other side of the world feeling better. I know some people doubt chiropractors, some doubt acupuncture, some doubt vaccines--give it a try. The work I saw being done was top notch and not expensive.

After many years in the service industry, my back tends to act up at times. Usually, rest and Advil does the trick but this time, to no avail. After weeks of struggling with phantom back pain that radiated all throughout my back, I finally decided to go to a chiropractor. I have been to several chiropractors in my lifetime but Dr. Kim is special and my favorite. She does acupuncture in conjunction with chiropractic medicine, which I have not seen elsewhere. To someone who believes in both eastern and western medicine, this conjunction method intrigued me right away. It was like getting two treatments in one, AND by someone who studied both sciences. I enjoyed how detailed and professional Dr. Kim was from the start-- she asked about my lifestyle, my diet, my stress level, amongst other health related questions. I appreciated being asked these comprehensive questions because it helped me self-realize on the topics asked and also dive into the root of my back pains; it also helped Dr. Kim conduct an accurate diagnosis and coordinate a plan to treat my back. After a short back and forth chat, she proceeded on using electromagnet therapy on my back and then acupuncture. She finished off the treatment by aligning my neck and my back, which was a HUGE relief to my pain. I love how gently she put in the acupuncture needles, I barely felt any pain. I went twice, one week apart, and felt an enormous difference in my back. I couldn't make it the following week due to a cold but by the time my cold was healed, I had no back pain. I will keep going back to Dr. Kim for any back issues I have in the future, and recommend you do too!
