Well she was the first photographer we interviewed and there was no way that I was going to choose anybody else. She really takes care of you. Such a caring person as well as her sidekick better known as her husband. I liked the fact that if you needed any help with anything with the wedding she was willing to help. I can't see very many photographers/companies doing that at all. I like the fact that she worked with us on figuring out our package. I will definitely come back for photos. She was so easy to work with from booking the shoot to when we received our photos. Neither my husband or I are that comfortable in front of a camera but Lauren made us so at ease and made the process fun. My favorite part of Lauren's work is how she captures all of the "real" moments of us interacting with each other. The photos turned out so genuine and beautiful, nothing ever had that too posed feel to it. You can tell Lauren loves what she does and she is amazing at it.

Ultimately we received a great recommendation from a friend that had her as their wedding photographer. We are so happy we went this route! Wedding planning amidst a pandemic wasn't easy & at times felt a bit less celebratory than I envisioned. Christine was great with meeting us virtually, making us feel comfortable, & answering our questions leading up to the big day. For instance, I even leaned on her experience in choosing my bridesmaids dresses... she was helpful all around. Both of us (bride/groom... but mostly groom) have very lively & sometimes crazy, friends/families. Christine & crew did a great job wrangling the herd & getting everything accomplished; all in a very nice manner. Patient, fun & lively were the words I'd describe the crew as, the day of our wedding. Day of went smoothly, including our photos getting ready/around the city/and of course at the wedding ceremony and reception itself. Christine & her team were flexible in terms of staggered start times, as well as having folks at various locations. The week of the wedding we decided to extend our 2nd shooter an additional hour & the team was really easy to work with on that. Kate was our 2nd shooter and she was fabulous as well. With the additional hour added, she was the 'lead photographer' for that portion & she did great. Our videographer was Antonin & he did a good job capturing footage as well. You can tell that Christine deeply cares about her business & puts her heart into her work. Just look at her blog & you will see how she takes note of important memories & aspects of clients relationships- and mimics that in her work. Not only is she a great photographer, she is a really great person. We saw her at a friend's wedding after we booked her, but prior to meeting her in person, and she quickly recognized us/took a photo of us there. Her memory and care stuck out to us & made the experience more special.

She conducts business with the epitome of professionalism and kindness and is very detailed, prompt and self sufficient. She treated us like we were friends/family and showed genuine interest in us as a couple, which truly showed in the pictures that she took. She captured pictures of the biggest moments of the day and somehow still managed to capture the very small but personal moments and details as well. Her pictures truly exude the love and excitement that we all felt on our wedding day in a way that I have not seen many wedding photographers do. Erika made it a point to capture naturally occurring moments instead of only manufacturing moments, which is what I've seen many photographers do as well. Seriously, she is special! Also, she was extremely careful to not interrupt the flow of the day. She stayed out of the way, yet captured every moment as if she was a part of it. I would highly recommend Erika. Initially, I was nervous about the price tag, but believe me, she was worth every single penny, plus more! We loved her and would totally hire her again!

The way she was able to use natural light to create beautiful artistic photos was exactly what we were looking for. After getting in touch, we were able to set up an engagement photo shoot in a week's time. Even though it was last minute, Erika was able to accommodate us on a very cold morning in Milton Lee Olive Park - not a single complaint from her! There was a great mix of nature shots, intimate shots, and cityscape. She had great ideas for how to get exceptional photos, and entertained some of our bad ones (you can tell the difference when you see the album). For the wedding, Erika and her husband/second shooter did a great job both finding a venue for our first-look photos as well as organizing all of the after-ceremony photos. She was professional and made sure that everything ran smoothly. One of our biggest concerns was that whichever photographer we chose would be a focal point ("in the way") during the ceremony and reception. Not only did Erika listen to our concerns, but we BARELY noticed her during the events. If this impacted the kinds of photos she was able to take, we cannot notice. They are all phenomenal. And she was very prompt in getting our edited photos in the online gallery! We cannot recommend Erika enough. We hope she keeps it up, because we'd love to hire her again for any future events.

I'm a pretty frugal guy, so my ideal wedding photographer would be my friends with digital cameras. Alas, that viewpoint is not shared by my wife, so the next best option was Mark Campbell. He was very reasonable and absolutely top-tier. We received the photos via DVD today and they are perfect. He even created a photo label for the DVD... cool added touch, whereas he could have simply written on it with a Sharpie. Also, included was an extra DVD copy for each of our families. At the wedding, he did his thing and directed the photo shoots and was just super organized and energetic. Highly, highly recommend Mark for your Chicagoland events.

In fact, she ended up being the first vendor we booked, even before we had our venue picked. We knew wherever we ended up, we could trust Liz to capture it perfectly. And she did! Liz gave us pictures that took my breath away and everyone who has seen them has remarked on what an amazing job she did. She and her assistant were able to capture every single emotion and moment we went through that day and presented them beautifully. She is also not a photographer who relies on the current photographic fads (you know, the instagram-y looks) to make her work interesting. Instead, her photographs are classically beautiful and have a more editorial, natural feel. Even the posed formal pictures look natural. They are definitely images that will stand the test of time. Not only is her work amazing, Liz is too. She is professional, patient, interesting, funny, and soooo easy to work with. Even my husband, who hates to have his picture taken, enjoyed being around her so much that eventually he was able to relax and have fun. Ok, the bottom line of this ramble-y review is you want Liz Lui as your wedding day photographer.
