They confirmed those issues, & also treated for ear mites and fleas. Unfortunately, the kitten's eye got worse, despite treatment, but the staff immediately got her checked again and confirmed the eye needed to be removed. They scheduled her surgery the following morning. Every member of staff knew Daisy's story, & each time I came in with her, they thanked my family for taking her in. Aside from how nice everyone there is, they have a beautiful and clean facility with wonderful art all over the walls, and they explain aftercare thoroughly. I highly recommend!

I was also charged for an exam, which was expected, and only a little higher than the normal fee. However, the vet did not listen to my cat's heart, did not examine her eyes and ears, did not open her mouth or look at her teeth. She did suggest prescription cat food and vaccinations, which she said I could get a "quote" for. Overall, it felt a bit like a shakedown. Did not care for the experience.

I couldn't find a vet that could take him same day to check him out. And, no way of knowing reputable vets in the area. Pet Vet got him in quickly and recommended blood work to start off. His tox levels were good but very high white blood cells which indicated infection, and a slightly distended stomach. Dr Udy (sp?) suspected he ate something bad so she recommended antibiotics, probiotics and fluids, and he hung out there a few hours for observation. I picked him up later, and she came out to talk to me. She, and the whole staff could not have been nicer. She also spent quite a bit of time removing the CRUST from his nose. I didn't know it could even come off, and it was looking terrible. Now it looks "brand new" I appreciated that so much, you have no idea. Now, of I wish the bill could have been cheaper. I was not under any illusion about that. We went home with several medications and he's doing just fine now. I highly recommend Pet Vet. If I lived in Spokane Valley they'd be my vet.

They were super sweet and very calm with him, and he was definitely enjoying the attention they were giving. He isn't big on people, but he didn't have a dislike towards them and wasn't scared when entering the office. They allowed the curiosity and didn't try to restrict him to a table outside of the exam, and didn't try to force him into the crate. Definitely enjoyed how helpful they were and how open minded they were to everything. Even though they misinterpreted a couple things I had said, and encouraged things I knew to be unnecessary at the time, they were helpful with the problem at hand.

Despite that, the care our pets have received has always been excellent. I'd much rather deal with a slightly overworked front desk team than a flashy, overpriced vet. We brought him in, and the doctors quickly took x-rays and discovered he had a string wrapped around the base of his tongue, which can be very dangerous. The doctors and staff were incredibly kind, compassionate, and understanding throughout the entire process. They clearly explained the situation and the recommended surgery, but it was unfortunately far outside of what we could afford. When we asked if there were any other options, even if they carried more risk, they took the time to listen and worked with us. They agreed to carefully cut the string under his tongue and allow the remaining piece to hopefully pass on its own. They were honest about the risks, but they respected our situation and helped us pursue the option that gave him a chance while still being financially possible for us. They also gave him anti-nausea medication, fluids, and pain management to support his recovery, and made sure we understood exactly what to watch for at home. I'm so grateful for how kind, nonjudgmental, and caring everyone was during such an emotional and stressful time. It was clear they truly cared about our cat and wanted the best possible outcome while also being respectful of our financial reality. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone facing a pet emergency.
