Do not bring your car here if you like to read papers you sign or if you like to be treated respectfully by service staff. Brought the car in for some service campaigns and a couple other things on October 27, 2023, which we could have/should have gotten done elsewhere. When it came time to pick up the vehicle, a person called 'Rob' plopped a stack of papers in front of me and said to sign them. I began to read the documents and after a few seconds he asked if I had any questions. "I don't know. I have not had a chance to read these." "Well, what are your questions?" "I don't know. I will let you know." Rob then went over to his co-worker's desk and, as if I could not hear him, said, "I don't know. He wants to read all the documents." A couple minutes later, Rob returned, obviously annoyed, and asked what my questions were and if I was going to read all the papers. "It's not that important. It is just for the accounting department," he said. "If it is not that important, why do I have to sign them?" "If you do not sign them, we will not turn over the car to you." "Well, if I have to sign them, then I will read them. Do you just sign papers you have no idea what they say?" Rob snatched the papers away and walked away. I asked where the car was and he said it was waiting outside. 1) Why was my car left idling outside unattended? 2) If the papers needed to be signed, why was I allowed to take the vehicle without signing the papers? 3) If the papers absolutely needed to be signed, did Rob forge my signature to satisfy accounting? A member of my team called the next day to complain to Rob about the treatment I received. Rob's excuse was that they were under time restraint pressures and were stressed by the construction that had been taking place at the shop. We all have time restraints and pressures at work. That is no excuse to take it out on paying customers. This part is so trivial but speaks to the quality of the work, assuming the work was even done, since no one was able to show me the work. One of the service campaigns involved putting a sticker on the two front door windows. On one side the sticker is parallel to the window channel, the other side is parallel to the ground. It is as if a 7-year-old just slapped them on. With that little attention to detail, it makes me wonder what else was done sloppily. This will be the last time we voluntarily bring a vehicle to this spot. It pains me to drive to Midway Hyundai in Post Falls, but maybe they treat their customers with respect.

Quick turn around time for car service. I don't know what else to say to meet Yelp's 85-character requirement.

I bought my mini cooper from this business and the experience was great! I subsequently took my car into Bill every time and thought he was honest and had integrity. As single woman, I had other mechanics present as untrustworthy so it was wonderful find an honest dealership. NOPE! My mini cooper is now almost destroyed because of their shoddy work and I'm out thousands of dollars and I've had the run around. Below is part of the complaint I've made to both the BBB and Attorney Generals Office. We are waiting on a response from the business to determine if small claims court is next to recoup our losses. He installed after market parts in my car repeatedly with repairs lasting barely two years. THERE IS A PATTERN HERE OF CHEAP PARTS, NO ACCOUNTABILITY, MYSTERY CHARGES AND ZERO TRANSPARENCY. HE WILL PUT IN CHEAP AFTER MARKET PARTS THAT WILL CRAP OUT IN ABOUT TWO YEARS AND DESTROY YOUR ENGINE. BELOW IS PART OF THE LEGAL FILINGS WITH BBB AND ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE : I am writing to formally demand immediate resolution regarding the defective turbo installation and associated damages to my vehicle, which directly stem from your shop's substandard workmanship and repeated use of faulty parts. This is not the first time I have been left to bear the financial and emotional burden of your shop's negligence, and I will not tolerate this pattern any longer. The Facts Defective Turbo Installation and Catastrophic Damage: The turbo installed in my vehicle has suffered a catastrophic failure in just over two years, despite the fact that I rarely drive my car. The failure has caused 3 liters of oil to pour into the catalytic converter and seep into the tubing, leaving my vehicle in a disastrous state and requiring extensive corrective work. History of Shoddy Workmanship and Defective Parts: You replaced the valve cover, but that repair barely lasted two years before the part failed. Despite the warranty, I was forced to cover out-of-pocket expenses that should have been fully covered. Now, the turbo you selected and installed--a critical component--has proven equally unreliable, further demonstrating a troubling trend of subpar repairs. Lack of Transparency: Despite my repeated requests, you have failed to provide a receipt or clear documentation for the turbo's cost. The only receipt you've shown is for $298 for mounting pieces, leaving $702 unaccounted for in the $1,000 charged. Your refusal to provide basic documentation raises serious questions about transparency and accountability. Negligence in Professional Standards: Your shop's continued reliance on parts that do not meet quality standards, coupled with inadequate accountability for failures, has cost me time, money, and trust. You've stated in the past that you operate with integrity and "family values." Yet, this is the second time I've had to deal with defective parts from your shop, and the financial and emotional toll is staggering. You've acknowledged the turbo failure may be covered under warranty, but even so, this situation highlights the systemic issues with your choice of parts and service quality.

I would NEVER recommend them, they do shotty work, and con artists when it comes to selling you "reliable" cars and doing "reliable" work to maintenance those cars. The amount of times they put our family in true dangerous situations is ridiculous. And them pushing these crappy warranties on you is bogus. They even submit false claims to the warranty company, get their replacement parts from junk yards, and don't even complete work that they then bill you for. The only reason we continued to bring our car for maintenance with them was because we wanted it covered under the warranty. OH! And they claimed as your car depreciates in value, so does your warranty coverage - COMPLETE bogus and false information. That is NOT how warranties work. Within the last year, Car Emporium "completed" maintenance on our car to "fix" it, billed the warranty company and us as well for false work. I kid you not, just 2 months after they "completed" their work, it died on the side of the road on two separate occasions. Both times, we took it back to our trusted mechanic who did the same work all over again that we had already thought was done by Car Emporium, so even more money out the door. It is absolutely ridiculous, and I will say it until I am blue in the face - DO NOT EVERRRRR buy cars from this dealership!!!!!!!!!!!!

They tried to sell her a blown out 2012 Ford F350 6.7 diesel that had a destroyed turbo. Claimed it had 120k miles. Scratches and rust all over. Said it's a local Spokane truck. Research on the VIN showed it was owned by a large Montana cattle ranch and sold through a Dealer Auto Auction, this is how reputable dealers sell their junk trade ins they can't sell on their lot and still keep a good reputation. They do this to keep large repeat customers coming back by accepting their worn out trade in. The fenders had the paint blasted off from all the gravel and rock driving. It was making 11psi of boost max (instead of 32+) and blowing blue smoke. The shocks, steering and suspension are destroyed, pulls all over the freeway. The front springs were so worn out it was sitting 1/4" above the axle bump stops (mechanics will understand this). This thing was hammered if it truly has 120k. They tried to convince us this all was normal and it's a "really great truck". They really fed her a line of BS. Also, the whole front end grill, radiator, crossmember had been replaced and had spray painted fenders. The bottom of the engine was loaded with grease and leaking on the ground. At a traffic light the smoke engulfed the whole intersection at one point. The truck has half the power it should. Turbos for these are in the $7700 range. Check engine light popped on during the drive. It also had a trailer brake module error so the trailer brakes aren't even working on this tow vehicle. I'm so glad I went with her so this scammership couldn't take advantage of our retiring friend. Shame on them. If someone wants to invest $10-15k in this truck it could be a good ride. Not a good deal for $22,000 sale price before any fees or taxes.

Hard sell on the warranty. There are major issues with internal comms. More than once I have contacted them about simple service related items. They tell me, "ok, come in any time." But then I show up and their service department is completely confused and I end up having to make an appointment and come back. The latest had to do with getting a front license plate bracket installed because they didn't install it when I bought it (I should have made them install it when I bought it). First time I emailed Nick who made a big show of "email me for anything." No answer. Then I call, they say 'come on in' and like an idiot I believe them. When I get there they turf me to AutoNation Acura next door, who are all confused because no one from Honda gave them any heads up about my coming over. Yesterday same thing happens. I made the mistake of believing the person I spoke to who said "come on in". Service ppl are again confused, say they don't have the bracket but can order one and tell me just show up to Acura and they'll install it. Tell me why I showed up to Acura today, they have 2013 and 2015 brackets but not 2014. Those Honda clowns either didn't order it or ordered the wrong one. Acura is ordering for me directly and ill show up tomorrow to have it installed. I trust them, but not Honda. I regret buying from autonation Honda. Worst experience ever.

They did the legal minimum…read more My primary vehicle is my motorcycle and I drive a car less than 500 miles per year. My ancient beast was showing signs of end-of-life, so I began looking last fall. Things weren't right with the ones I saw, but I was resigned to getting an automatic these days, though I've driving a stick for forty years. Then, a couple of weeks ago, I saw a few to look at. I stopped by AutoNation Honda, and the supposedly lighter interior of one was black. Having grown up in a hot part of the country, that's a clear no for me. The sales guy went online to see what else the chain had. He found the Sonic that had just been traded in at their Chevy dealership and wasn't even on the market yet. It was a stick, so I was excited. Once they cleaned it up, I went to look at it. For a car with just over 100k, it was in pretty good shape. I saw the basics with a body hole in the back and a missing visor. Those are easy to deal with. Here's where my due diligence fell apart. I looked through their voluminous paperwork on its status. Got the Carfax info and it looked good. Sadly, I didn't look carefully enough at the small print way in the back of their own inspection. It needs a new timing belt and there's an oil leak. For things that important, ethics and morals should have clearly disclosed those things verbally. Nope. They did the bare, legal minimum and I missed it. It's at the shop now and what I thought was a gasket leak also is a stripped bolt so we're replacing the pan. All told, more then $2k of work. It'll still be a good car after, the problem is the price. I checked KBB and it was priced at the top of the range for those cars. It looked good enough that was acceptable to me. If I'd done my due diligence, I would have walked away at that price. I hold both them and myself responsible. Just as it's almost impossible read all the details in a EULA, the items were hidden and I didn't focus. If you go there, be aware that you need to go through everything before signing.
