Nov'20 attacked in Mexico. In San Diego * back broken * req.immed surg* Ins denied* Jun'25 the original CA Surgeon operated & found sev damage spanning more than 6 vertebrae vs the original one. After aggressive PT, additional nerve stimulation was needed to prevent falling. That's when I went to SFT. I had researched various options with my PT team & on my own before my appt. After a brief history I told him which dorsiflex stimulator I wanted a referral for. I showed him what I could do on my own. Then I admitted my preference to being barefoot. The physician I saw was great, but the office staff is much to be desired. I cannot create an account with AthenaHealth as requested because they say a message is being sent to my email address, but I never receive the email to finish creating my account. I have done this about seven times with the same result. I had been paying on my account every time I saw the doctor, but then I received a check back from them. I cashed the check. The next time I saw the doctor I was told I never paid for my previous visit. So, I had to pay for 2 visits before seeing the doctor. I thought we were square, then I get a bill asking for a double payment again! This was 2 weeks after I had paid. I went into the doctor's office, and they didn't know what to say and they agreed that I owed no money. My husband accidentally paid them $50 that was supposed to go to another doctor. I called them, no response for over a week. When I got a call, the woman told me she would go over the account. Here it is a month later and still no money. I tried calling today several times. I kept getting a message that it was after hours...at 1 PM on a Monday! and that I should call back during office hours. I like the doctor, but the office help needs help. read more

I've had a ganglion cyst on top of my foot for 4-5 years. I was referred to Dr Porter. Had my consult , he made me feel comfortable to have it removed. I'm terrified of surgery and being put to sleep. However, he took the time to explain every detail of the surgery, the risks of getting it removed along with the risk of not having it removed. I was able to make the decision to have it removed. I was able to get the surgery date and time quickly. On surgery day I was so anxious , I cried while getting my vitals checked. Nurse Jen was amazing. So understanding and helped calm me down. Dr. Porter came into the room , saw my tears and made me calm down by telling jokes. It lightened my mood. Before I knew it I was done with surgery and the team did an amazing job. I highly recommend Spokane Foot Clinic, Dr Porter and his team . only getting 1 star because I cant give them no stars. Went to the foot clinic 4 years ago, got an ex ray and talked to the doc. When I told her I was looking for arch supports she tells me I need to get cortisone shots. I didn't want that I wanted to start with arch supports, so I paid my bill ( the total amount they said I owed) and left. thought it was just a waist of money but rote it off. then 4 years later they call and leave me a message that I owe them money. It took me to the third person I talked to to find out I didn't owe them any thing in fact they had over charged me and owed me. When I asked why it took 4 years to notify me they just blamed Covid saying they had a hard time keeping help(no covid back in 2018). When I explained the dis satisfaction I had with my visit and how long it took them to pay me the money the lady told me they could just give my money to the state. ( why would I not want my money back?) This place just wants to pump you full of chemicals so you have to keep coming back. Went to a different doc. Arch supports(and some stretches) fixed all the pains I had. read more

Dr. Joshua Hunt is amazing. My 14 year old is terrified of needles. After dealing with an ingrown toe for years I convinced him we had to have a professional take care of it. I prepped him with what to expect, but he was scared. Hunt walked in with this deep, calm, brooding confidence and not only relaxed him, but in a firm but caring way said in his actions, we are doing this and you will be fine. Dr. Porter and his staff are AMAZING! My feet fit into shoes they didn't before having the bunion removal surgery. The pain is gone, I can wear cute shoes, AND Dr. Porter worked me into his schedule to fit the surgery in before my insurance deductible reset, so it was covered at 100%! I went to the Northside clinic. The doctor and medical assistant were competent and nice...the front desk girl...yes she is a child. She has a light Russian-ish accent, blonde and fairly vapid. I was supposed to have a prescription called in the day of my appointment (I have a slice of bone sticking out of my heel). It want called in that day to the pharmacy I specifically listed in my patient intake form (they also asked me where I wanted it sent, so verbal and written instructions were too much for her). I called the 48 hours later because the pharmacy hadn't heard a thing from them, no call-in at all. I got the same dingbat blonde the second phone call....guess what? Still no call in for my prescription. I'm supposed to trust them to cut into my body after this BS. I have a job where I have to juggle in-person car, email inquiries, phone calls, vendor orders and follow-ups. This girl wouldn't last a day where I work. I'm over it. read more

I especially appreciate the information explaining that due to a genetic, condition surgery would be a short term fix. Horrible experience. Waited for more than a month for our follow-up appointment. Figured it would be a quick appointment, checked in 10 minutes before our assigned appointment time. While waiting we observed several people come in with later appointment times. Finally got called back, put us in the "surgery room" which was very cold and uncomfortable. Waited more and more. Figured they forgot about us so after 40 mins asked the receptionist, offered us blankets and said we were next... waited another 15 minutes and even heard the Dr. talking to another patient that had come in after us. Finally left after wasting more than an hour. No apologies or offers to reschedule us. They obviously don't value their patients or their time. read more

Their office is dirty and gross! Mismatched and worn out recliner chairs (not podiatry exam chairs) in their exam rooms, and cobwebs hanging off the ceiling. A dirty office is an indication of other things gone amiss. You would think they would want to make the best impression possible. Guess they don't care. read more

Dr Porter was always late for appointments. I was not given any instructions upon receipt of custom orthotics and was given them by the receptionist. Orthotics made for me were done incorrectly and Dr Porter was not amenable to working with me to correct in a follow up appointment. I would NOT recommend Dr Porter. read more
