My hairdresser was Caitlyn, she was a very sweet girl but I'm sorry but a trim and a wash is not worth $65. I went there to try a new salon that wouldn't be so costly. They were all very nice but expensive. read more

I had the best hair cut and style by a young lady named Kendal. I will definitely be going back. The salon is nice and cute and everyone is so friendly. So happy I found this place. read more

Great. Took ME a few tries to find a hair stylist in Lakeland when I moved here 2 yrs ago. It's such a drag for myself with my weird hair. I have to have a custom cut. Besides this place is like 5 minutes away from my space. Wendy G is the bomb. What a great hair stylist. I say go first thing in the A.M. if you don't like noise. It's not her specifically, its the place. They are so happy or whatnot. My mom couldn't handle it...dork. Wendy does what I ask and that's all I want. Her and I mesh which is awesome as that doesn't work out for me too often with hair stylists. If you only knew. I finally found my person for a decent hair cut at a fair price. 20 bucks? Works for me every 6 weeks. I won't even try anyone else nor would I. read more

Due to Covid isolation I had not been to hair salon in a very long time. My hair was such a mess. I called and spoke with Katelyn and she reviewed with me hair color choices and hair styles on the phone. I made the appointment and I was not disappointed !!! She did an excellent job on selecting my color and cutting and styling my hair. I was so grateful for her expertise !!! She is very knowledgeable and does a great job ! She is now on my calendar every 3-4 weeks to repeat my color and keep my hair cut in align. Thank you Katelyn !!! read more

I initially took my daughter to Katelyn for a haircut with bangs. She was phenomenal! I made an appointment with her after my daughter's appointment for the next week. She cut my hair and gave me layers for body. Conversation was easy and she did a great job. She asked questions to make sure she did my hair the way I wanted it. She offered tips and suggestions. I'll be going back in two weeks for color. I would recommend Katelyn to anyone! read more

Jenny is the bomb.com! I have been going to her for a few years now. She always fits me in and I love how my hair turns out when she does it. She is easy to talk to and will keep you laughing. read more

Alright, as hair cuts go I'm about as simple as it gets. But the atmosphere is very inviting, not like the square box quick cuts in and out hope i didn't screw up your head. Not to mention the price, very reasonable. read more

Split Ends - Hair Salons Near Me - Winter Haven, Florida

Excellent ! I decided to finally go to Split Ends Salon after much debating back and forth to change my dark hair and add some highlights to start the change of color to a lighter hue . I called the salon and was referred to Kathy after I had explained what I wanted to achieve . Kathy called me and was so understanding to my needs and explained with knowledge and professionalism how the process would take place to achieve what I wanted and how it would be accomplished ( the right way ) until I would achieve what the perfect color would be for what I envisioned I wanted . When I met her she was such a pleasure and she took her time again to show me and talk to me about the process I felt very relaxed and confident knowing that she knew what to do and she was so personable and caring ! Everyone in the salon is very nice and truly a great connection between the hairdressers which I really have never seen before I'm any salon ever. My Sister was an educator for Paul Mitchell and I have lots of knowledge since I always went to get my hair done in the best of the best salons in Miami and I can tell you that Kathy is amazing , She is a profesional and I couldn't be any happier with the results . Thank you Kathy and thank you Split Ends salon for making me feel like part of the family on my first day! read more

Finally a hair salon in Winter Haven where stylists listen, are experienced and do their best to listen to what clients want! I have tried several over the past three years and finally found a haircut home. In addition to skill, the staff could not be more friendly. Its atmosphere is that of a "mom and pop", laid back salon. Couldn't ask for better. So pleased! read more

I'm new in the area and asked a friend for a person who could cut my natural curly hair and she recommended I go see Jenny at Split Ends. I made an appointment for cut, highlites and color. I was late 15 mins and Jenny had me wait until her next client came in and she applied color and she took about 45 mins with her client doing so because she said she didn't want to fall too much behind. Seems whoever took the appointment only had me for cut. I waited and finally Jenny started on my hair. My requests: very thin highlites since I don't like the "zebra effect" when I style my hair towards the back. A long Pixie style cut (I showed her pictures I wanted for cut) and she said she was thinking about a Bob, I told her no because my hair would be too much maintenance and with my natural curl it would "poof" like a hat...my hair was below my shoulder, when she cut my hair she turned me away from the mirror the whole time and when I looked I had her Bob haircut... I told her I didnt like it and she said I should wear it like that a couple of days to see how I liked it.. Made another appointment to get it and the highlights fixed because they were too wide (thick lines). My hair was now below my ear.. Second appointment to fix her mess and she slaps color on the sides of my hair and put up the top.. (my hair now looks awful with highlites on top with darker color on the sides). Jenny left to talk with friends for almost an hour, comes back shampoos my hair and looks at the pics again and starts cutting... I felt she was cutting from the top where I told her not to cut my bangs.. Yep, she had cut them. She asked me if she had taken off enough hair and I told her it needed to be shorter at the sides since wet it did not look like the cut I asked. She cut for a bit longer on the back and dried my hair. The cut she gave me this second time was an even shorter Bob this time below the ears. I am in tears, can't style my hair at home because its so uneven and feel I was never listened to the whole time about my cut. She was not cheap either. I don't mind paying the money as long as you do a good job. So now I have no money, no hair and no feeling of being renewed about my new cut and color. My thing is if she couldn't do a cut say it... Jenny was inept and I was a fool for even going back the second time thinking she could make it right. So much for being a satisfied customer. read more

I fell in love with a girlfriends haircut and of course asked who is your stylist. Steven Anthony at Split Ends is the BEST. He is so professional, friendly and is a master at his craft. He does an incredible job with both color and cuts. I highly recommend him and have been going to him for years. I actually drive an hour just to see him. The staff members and other hair dressers are also very friendly. Plus, the atmosphere is inviting and non-stuffy, but professional. read more
