In addition, there was a complementary bellboy cart that came around early evening, offering bars of chocolate. The towel, warmer, the luxury bath products, having a soaker tub along with a shower, and the views of the Christmas lights Made our stay here fabulous. Breakfast was included for our group and it was served on the second floor, dining area with table service, full buffet, as well as a full array of breakfast menu products. I would totally stay here again for the service, the luxury, the location, And everything in between.

It's literally across the street from the main central train station. Just roll your luggage right in. When you check out the Hotel Bellman can tell you which track to go to and the shortest way. You're paying a bit for the convenience, but it's a beautiful classic hotel and they have an outstanding "made to order" breakfast with a menu. Definitely try to compare the price of your room by booking directly through the hotel online and by checking other online booking services; there is frequently a decent discount or even upgrade (also sometimes if you book multiple nights) directly through the hotel booking portal. The rooms are comfortable and plush. They use a lot of velvet. I love the fact that they give little gifts;the last time I stayed here they included a little item in a gift box with the room. There's a very small but decent "boutique gym" in the hotel; you are fine as long as no one else comes in as it's quite small. The lobby reception is great and the staff is very professional. There's always somewhere open (nearly 24 hours) as you are right by the train station, and they also have a lovely little bar/ café in the hotel; you can sit outside as well. The nice thing about Zurich is the area around the train station isn't sketchy like "Rue de Berne" near Geneva station or in front of the Gare de Lausanne. Zürich's main station is clean and well organized; the Bahnhofstrasse next to the hotel is the grandest and most opulent high end shopping street in Zurich... the really over the top part is a bit further down and it stretches over a kilometer. I really can't fault this hotel other than it's a bit expensive, but most hotels in Zurich are. For the price, you are saving on a cab or extra train ticket as you literally can hop right onto the train across the street and get to the airport or almost anywhere in Switzerland and abroad. All from the incredible Zürich train station. So this is a wonderful stop to take and a hotel for travelers looking for a peaceful respite without venturing far from the station.

The water wouldn't drain at all, creating a disgusting and unsanitary condition. Their team later tried to blame me for "improper use" even though I had just arrived and hadn't even used the sink yet. 2. Scalding Water - Unsafe: The water in the sink and shower was boiling hot no matter which direction the tap was turned -- this is a serious safety hazard. Touching the water even briefly risked burns, and there was no way to adjust the temperature. 3. No On-Site Staff: This so-called "self-service" hotel means that there is no staff at the property -- not even during the day. If something goes wrong, you're on your own unless you can make an international phone call or physically drag your luggage back down to the lobby to "start over" via a kiosk. 4. Unhelpful and Dismissive Support: Their customer service was robotic and dismissive. Despite multiple emails clearly explaining my situation -- late check-in, blocked sink on arrival, inability to use my phone plan for calls -- I was offered no meaningful help. They simply repeated that the issue was "not reported in time" and refused a refund or repair. Their proposed solution? I should carry all my luggage back downstairs and call a Swiss phone number. I physically couldn't do that, and they didn't care. 5. No Accountability, No Compensation: Instead of owning up to poor conditions, they deflected blame and gaslit me. Their refusal to acknowledge their responsibility for basic maintenance is shocking. I've attached photos and videos showing the blocked drain and scalding water. I'm also sharing a redacted version of our email correspondence that shows how poorly they handled the situation.

I would rate higher if Easy Hotel was promoted as a room for the night as opposed to a hotel. It is NOT a hotel in the conventional sense. There are no employees on the property, which really concerned me because I had to call someone twice. No elevator. I was put on the highest floor. Couldn't work the TV, among other things. The towels weren't replaced the next day, so there were only dirty ones and no washcloths. The bathroom is designed in a way that the floor slopes and curves. There is a step to the rest of the room which is easily tripped on. This is NOT for someone with mobility issues! It's a noisy neighborhood- so much noise outside that I could barely sleep. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I was more comfortable in the train station and definitely the airport.

Hotel St. George's - Zürich…read more This small, three story boutique hotel located centrally in downtown Zürich, with accommodating staff. I walked to this hotel from "HB Train Station," when I first arrived in Zürich. I wanted to explore by foot streets of Zürich. When I walked in, I really enjoyed the lobby (I forgot to take pics ). It offers a touch of historic elegance. Lobby area also leads to their own restaurant area. Breakfast can be purchased separately at the restaurant or at the time of booking. Once the friendly front desk lady finished accommodating a guest before me, she invited me to sit at the comfortable furniture by her desk, to check in. As she assisted me to check in, at some point in our conversation, I mentioned that I forgot my universal outlet adapter. She said, "I do have one extra I can give you for 10 Swiss Francs." It was her personal one. I felt bad she was giving up hers, but I was so grateful. "Thank you for offering me one, yes I will take it. I researched that it would cost 30+ Swiss Francs at a store." It was a wonderful first impression of the friendly and welcoming staff. Once I received my key, another staff member guided me to elevator and up to my room. The room was fairly small with a small bed, and personal sink, but for solo traveler, it's perfect. (All other hotels were more expensive and further away from downtown). You do share toilet and shower with other guests. Each of the three floors, offers few toilet rooms and shower rooms. At first, I was a bit concerned since I've never stayed in hotel with this type of arrangement. But, honestly, it was not an inconvenience in any way. I never had to wait for other guests. I had a balcony that I walked out every morning and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Every night, I propped my window open, fell asleep and enjoyed waking up each morning to chirping birds. Overall I would recommend this hotel and look forward returning.

The bathroom and shower were very clean as well. I was a tad nervous sharing a bathroom/shower with others, but didn't notice a difference really. Never had to wait for either. I did get breakfast one morning and it's a buffet style of typical European foods. Eggs, breads, jams, cheeses, cold cuts, muesli, cereal, and yogurt. Delicious. With tea, coffee, juice, and water. I wish I would have gotten it the whole stay. I would definitely recommend this establishment. Especially for the price and location. Close to train station and many restaurants and sites.

The robes, slippers, and in-room coffee were all great, and we were surprised with champagne and chocolates for our anniversary, which was a memorable gesture. It's a cozy, romantic spot with soft lighting and excellent service. Our first dinner there was delicious ~ we had octopus, fish, and glasses of Chardonnay that paired perfectly. We returned on Sunday for a light meal of cheese, wine, and salad. The location is quiet and peaceful, away from the busy Old Town but very convenient to the beautiful walkway along the Lake. The rooftop terrace was a highlight with stunning sunset views. We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was immaculate, staff were all very friendly, and the rooms felt like an upscale apartment and not even a hotel. Each floor is also themed with a different region of the world, such as France, Asia, England, etc, which was cool and it was done in a very tasteful way. Good quality amenities in the rooms and our room even came with robes - I was living my best wannabe luxurious European life!

Perhaps the most stylish hotel in Zurich, but not a great value compared to The London Edition, Soho House Berlin, or the Proper Santa Monica (all of which are as well positioned as the Widder in their prospective cities). Our historic junior suite is charming and has an especially great bathroom setup. But, some of the elements that I've come to expect from a luxury hotel are lacking. For over $1300 per night, I expect to be able to make a dinner reservation at the hotel restaurant same day, have access to the 24hr gym without stopping by the front desk (on a different floor) each time, have a bluetooth speaker provided in the room, warmer lighting throughout the hotel, heavier dumbbells in the gym, and most importantly, not be woken up by someone ringing my room twice at 10am (hours before I planned to wake). Also, it's odd that our bed is two twins pushed together on wheels with a gap between them. It's worth noting that the staff has been friendly and generally helpful (especially the concierge). Plus, the hotel is immaculate and visually interesting.
