If you enjoy modern hotels, this is for you! Very unique design hotel at a good price in Zurich. This is also a great location on Langstrasse. Close to the Main Train Station (Zurich HB), bars and restaurants. Easy to get around and walkable to everything. Service is good and the Israeli restaurant in the lobby Neni is also decent. One minor complaint I have is that they don't provide conditioner. If you have long hair like me and really need conditioner to make sure your hairs not tangled up, make sure to bring your own.

Not your average hotel bar. This place was rockin till 2am! Packed with people.

This exceptional hotel and the friendly staff was one of the highlights of my weekend in Zurich. I will say that this hotel has a distinctive look and hip vintage vibe that may not be for everyone but if it is you are in for a treat. This hotel has the feeling that someone has thought of everything for you. Rooms are high quality, clean, and exceptionally quiet. That is important since the night life in the area can get quite rowdy and loud and it is nice to shit it out. I would not hesitate to stay here again, Enjoy the train spotting sauna, lively cocktail bar/club, and delicious onsite restaurant. Easy walking distance to all the main Zurich attractions and the rail station. Well done! One of my favorite hotel stays ever!

Loved it in every bit! Friendly staff, delicious breakfast, great design, fancy rooms, clean, eco- I loved the writings on soap container and pillows- every single piece of this hotel is well thought through! I didn't have a chance to get a bike or ride with a mini but definitely will do it next time! Outstanding experience!

Stayed here for 2 days and nights in August and loved everything about it except that my room didn't have a closet. It did have hangers and a super-cute rope on a wall to hang my clothes, though! :) The hotel has TONS of personality, which I really loved. Colorful, mid-century decor with lots of kitsch and not one corner that hadn't been untouched, whether it was a thoughtful little object, a funny/positive quote, or just something to make you feel happy. My bed was VERY comfortable, the cheerful ombre drapes blacked out the room from the early morning sun, and the restaurant food was clean and yummy! Staff was awesome and helpful. The hotel is centrally located, with pretty much everything you'd need (for a short stay) just a hop, skip and a jump away.

If you want a luxurious hotel that's right by the main Zurich train station, right in the center of…read moreeverything.... Then this is a great choice in Zurich! It's literally across the street from the main central train station. Just roll your luggage right in. When you check out the Hotel Bellman can tell you which track to go to and the shortest way. You're paying a bit for the convenience, but it's a beautiful classic hotel and they have an outstanding "made to order" breakfast with a menu. Definitely try to compare the price of your room by booking directly through the hotel online and by checking other online booking services; there is frequently a decent discount or even upgrade (also sometimes if you book multiple nights) directly through the hotel booking portal. The rooms are comfortable and plush. They use a lot of velvet. I love the fact that they give little gifts;the last time I stayed here they included a little item in a gift box with the room. There's a very small but decent "boutique gym" in the hotel; you are fine as long as no one else comes in as it's quite small. The lobby reception is great and the staff is very professional. There's always somewhere open (nearly 24 hours) as you are right by the train station, and they also have a lovely little bar/ café in the hotel; you can sit outside as well. The nice thing about Zurich is the area around the train station isn't sketchy like "Rue de Berne" near Geneva station or in front of the Gare de Lausanne. Zürich's main station is clean and well organized; the Bahnhofstrasse next to the hotel is the grandest and most opulent high end shopping street in Zurich... the really over the top part is a bit further down and it stretches over a kilometer. I really can't fault this hotel other than it's a bit expensive, but most hotels in Zurich are. For the price, you are saving on a cab or extra train ticket as you literally can hop right onto the train across the street and get to the airport or almost anywhere in Switzerland and abroad. All from the incredible Zürich train station. So this is a wonderful stop to take and a hotel for travelers looking for a peaceful respite without venturing far from the station.

And the bed has hidden sharp wooden corners that both my wife and I hit multiple times during our stay. Ouch! Besides the pain of hitting the bed, the rest of our stay was pretty great. Gifts in the room, like chocolates, fruit and champagne were a great touch. Concierge was also very helpful with directions, attraction tickets and recommendations. Comfortable beds, decent amenities and quiet rooms. Would stay again.

Literally none. You walk in straight to a computer machine and type in your information and pay there (if needed). The machine prints out your room key and that's it. There is NO elevator in this hotel either. They do have a bag lift for your luggage. We were on the third floor, so up the stairs we go. The room is very small. The to on was clean and nice though. You can see straight through The bathroom sliding doors .... so if you are traveling with someone,, be comfortable. The next day when we were heading out we weeds able to put our luggage in the large lockers they haVe downstairs, very convenient. This hotel was cheap, it's right in the heart of the bars and nightlife, and it Was clean. Only bad thing is if you need anything, you are on your own.

The water wouldn't drain at all, creating a disgusting and unsanitary condition. Their team later tried to blame me for "improper use" even though I had just arrived and hadn't even used the sink yet. 2. Scalding Water - Unsafe: The water in the sink and shower was boiling hot no matter which direction the tap was turned -- this is a serious safety hazard. Touching the water even briefly risked burns, and there was no way to adjust the temperature. 3. No On-Site Staff: This so-called "self-service" hotel means that there is no staff at the property -- not even during the day. If something goes wrong, you're on your own unless you can make an international phone call or physically drag your luggage back down to the lobby to "start over" via a kiosk. 4. Unhelpful and Dismissive Support: Their customer service was robotic and dismissive. Despite multiple emails clearly explaining my situation -- late check-in, blocked sink on arrival, inability to use my phone plan for calls -- I was offered no meaningful help. They simply repeated that the issue was "not reported in time" and refused a refund or repair. Their proposed solution? I should carry all my luggage back downstairs and call a Swiss phone number. I physically couldn't do that, and they didn't care. 5. No Accountability, No Compensation: Instead of owning up to poor conditions, they deflected blame and gaslit me. Their refusal to acknowledge their responsibility for basic maintenance is shocking. I've attached photos and videos showing the blocked drain and scalding water. I'm also sharing a redacted version of our email correspondence that shows how poorly they handled the situation.

Hotel St. George's - Zürich…read more This small, three story boutique hotel located centrally in downtown Zürich, with accommodating staff. I walked to this hotel from "HB Train Station," when I first arrived in Zürich. I wanted to explore by foot streets of Zürich. When I walked in, I really enjoyed the lobby (I forgot to take pics ). It offers a touch of historic elegance. Lobby area also leads to their own restaurant area. Breakfast can be purchased separately at the restaurant or at the time of booking. Once the friendly front desk lady finished accommodating a guest before me, she invited me to sit at the comfortable furniture by her desk, to check in. As she assisted me to check in, at some point in our conversation, I mentioned that I forgot my universal outlet adapter. She said, "I do have one extra I can give you for 10 Swiss Francs." It was her personal one. I felt bad she was giving up hers, but I was so grateful. "Thank you for offering me one, yes I will take it. I researched that it would cost 30+ Swiss Francs at a store." It was a wonderful first impression of the friendly and welcoming staff. Once I received my key, another staff member guided me to elevator and up to my room. The room was fairly small with a small bed, and personal sink, but for solo traveler, it's perfect. (All other hotels were more expensive and further away from downtown). You do share toilet and shower with other guests. Each of the three floors, offers few toilet rooms and shower rooms. At first, I was a bit concerned since I've never stayed in hotel with this type of arrangement. But, honestly, it was not an inconvenience in any way. I never had to wait for other guests. I had a balcony that I walked out every morning and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Every night, I propped my window open, fell asleep and enjoyed waking up each morning to chirping birds. Overall I would recommend this hotel and look forward returning.

The bathroom and shower were very clean as well. I was a tad nervous sharing a bathroom/shower with others, but didn't notice a difference really. Never had to wait for either. I did get breakfast one morning and it's a buffet style of typical European foods. Eggs, breads, jams, cheeses, cold cuts, muesli, cereal, and yogurt. Delicious. With tea, coffee, juice, and water. I wish I would have gotten it the whole stay. I would definitely recommend this establishment. Especially for the price and location. Close to train station and many restaurants and sites.

Design is clearly a high priority--everywhere you look, the architecture, interiors, furniture, décor, are nothing short of artful. And they are done to cleverly mash-up the history and modernity. It's almost like staying in a museum--it's so beautiful. They have a farm they use to supply a lot of the food across the property and the food is spectacular. The breakfast spread and hot menu items, in particular, were one of the best I've seen--everything was so tasty. They also treated us to a welcome amenity that was a selection of sweet and savory snacks they made. And, we visited their bar, which is also gorgeous with an incredible menu. My partner is celiac and so we need strict gluten free with no cross-contamination to keep him safe. The hotel took this seriously from the moment I asked the concierge for help. The breakfast team was very helpful with navigating the options, and even brought him gluten free bread. Our server in the bar seemed to understand the issue and take it seriously. And, they even managed to make the in-room welcome amenity gluten free for him, which I would have never expected. We felt very safe with their team.
