I would like to start off say wow the store is so nice and clean compared to the ones that I have been to. When I walked in on Sunday. The muscular gentleman I am sorry I cannot remember His name was so nice and helped me and my kids with everything. Wile working with me he was also answering questions that his fellow coworkers were asking him while answering my questions at the same time very impressive. Beware. Order a Giant Betta female $80, so expecting a 3-4 inch fish. They sent me a half inch plakat (I think). Fish was smaller than any betta female I have. Tried to call them and left messages for them to explain. Month and fish is now .75 inch and egging up so it is just a normal plakat. Will never buy from them again. read more

I really hate to leave a review like this because I used to really love the store but after the experience I had I felt the need to warn other people. I have made several good purchases from the store but my most recent was pretty bad. I ordered live plants and snails to be sent out in two different shipments, so I paid for shipping twice. This was fine initially because I wanted the snails to get here safely. When I opened my order, there were no snails. I emailed the store and called with proof, so they refunded for the snails. I emailed again asking for a refund for shipping since they did not ship them and I paid for it and got no response after 4 days. I called several times and no one picked up. I ended up having to contest the shipping fee with the bank. I was super disappointed because I had shopped at the store since it was still run out of the owners garage and had recommended several people over to them. We went to this shop last weekend to pick up some green neon tetra. It didn't look like much on the outside, but when we went in, it is a very nicely kept aquarium store. The workers were really nice, and we took our fish home! They also sell online and update their website pretty regularly so you can check if they have what you want in stock! read more

After finding this gem through a friend, I visited this place. The quality and variety of fresh water fish and invertebrates are magnitudes better than retail pet chain, especially Cherry Shrimp and snails. I get all of my aquarium stock here. Amazing live stock and expertly kept! All the water is pristine condition and the variety is diverse. The owner really cares about the fish and provides expert advice on taking care of them. I won't be going back to Petco or petsmart again. There's a stark difference between locally owned fish and corporate bred fish. My splashy fish entered my community tank very comfortably and were easy to collect from the store tank. not skiddish at all and very healthy. Way over priced. Poor selection of tropical fish with the exception of bettas and guppies.

Pictures only show the front of the store which seems to be nice, but the bettas in the back are swimming in dark tan water full of their own feces. They all looks sick and lethargic, even the $100+ ones. read more

Believe the bad reviews! I bought two Marimo moss balls from this place that didn't look all that great. They keep them in large tanks in a back room with zero natural light. I figured maybe they'll get better. Three weeks later they're still practically falling apart, shedding and not floating. I decide that at 10 dollars a piece I should be happy with the purchase and I'm not so I asked for an exchange, citing all the of the issues. I was told the sale was final. Then the guy tried to tell me that my other Marimo ball at home is unhealthy because it floats. Any and ALL research about these balls will tell you that they absolutely float during the day if exposed to natural light. There's don't float because of the dark room their in which tells me that this guy actually knows ZERO about these balls. What a shame. I was really hoping this would be my go to spot but obviously they're money hungry if they don't care about making customers happy and providing quailty goods. Update: The owner reached out to me to make it right by trying to tell me how I was caring for the balls is wrong. I already own a moss ball for years so I know that it's the balls and not my care. He told me I could purchase more for a discount but I will never spend another dollar at this store. read more

Do not order from this store. My fish died 12 hours after delivery. When I called I assumed they would offer a refund or replacement, but they simply blamed me and did not help at all. I have had beta fish for years and had the correct tank set up and water parameters. The 48 hour alive guarantee is not honored. Terrible customer service. The newly opened retail location is filled with wonderful, healthy freshwater fish plants and the finest equipment. Try finding that anywhere in our area. I feel freed from the bondage of the horrible fish sold by big chain pet stores. This is a well-run small business with a great selection of fish! I highly recommend shopping here and I appreciate their attention to detail when taking care of their fish. I don't think I've heard of other stores quarantining and treating their fish before they are sold. This does come with a slightly higher price, but I do think that the price is totally worth it all things considered. Their staff is also super nice! read more

The first fish I ordered was too sick for shipment..nobody reached out to me I had to get ahold of them to see why my fish didn't ship .so I was doing this on there "chat with us"I was asked if I wanted a replacement,I picked a new one within 3 mins and was met with a message saying that their inventory wasn't reflecting correctly they would get back to me on Thursday and also update their inventory..Thursday rolls around I get no call,turns out they are not even open on Thursday..so fast forward the next week,I get my tracking Tuesday afternoon for overnight shipment on Wednesday..u wake up Wednesday morning and my tracking only says "shipping label created" I reach out to them to see why this is,oh come to find out his "team" forgot to send the package out ..finallyyyy my fish gets here and within 3 days he is all but dead,swollen abdomen, possibly dropsy at this point..I have did nothing but try to save this fishes life once I got him..spending massive amounts of money with no good outcome..he ate 2 times since I got him and that's it..my water has been damn near perfect since I have had the tank set up and been testing it ..no way this fish got sick within two days of being home with me,he was already sick let's be real here ..this place is a joke straight up joke..one of the worst places I have ever ordered something from...this was supposed to be an enjoyable experience instead it's sucking my pockets dry and I got to sit here and look at this poor helpless fish sitting sideways on the substrate... read more
