I have called Caribbean clear Agawam Poolman and was surprised to get in so quickly because everybody was saying how they have difficulties setting up appointment open pools . We bought the house in January and our pool wasn't closed. Therefore I knew we're gonna have trouble cleaning out the pool however, I said professionals would help, they came on April 25. Look at the pool check pump filters. Everything was working conditions Jacob one of the crew guy said they seen pools in the worst condition. He did put significant amount of shock other chemicals and left saying that he's gonna be back in a couple days to check it out. Which he did, he had more chemicals said that my chlorinator need to be changed was leaking and I was OK with that. so they charge me $700 but my pool was green. I texted my pool picture to the company and said do you think after $700 your pool should be looking like this(green). Since my balance wasn't paid , Tim who is the owner of the company came in look at my pool ,cleaned my filter say that he's not going to charge me for the visit, but I need to clean my filter much more often. for next 3 days my husband was shocking and cleaning but pool was still green. I went Nanci and bought recommended chemicals Algeciras and Blue to Clear.. We clean our filter every two hours, but my pool still greenish blue with yellow sediment on the bottom and walls. By the way, Tim told me to do that and then he will come and vacuum the pool if this wouldn't work. he also mentioned that they have significant balance that should pay even though my due date was not in the week. came to be due date I went and paid $700. Then I went to the store and then end of the May, his wife told me that they just need to do phosphate treatment, which I paid another $50 for and she will let him know and he will get back to me about finishing cleaning the pool. When first time Jacob came my husband, and I said we wanted to pull Crystal clear with clear wall and the bottom and us that's gonna be after all this done . that evening, Tim's wife sent me a message ,saying that they don't have time to come in and vacuum, and I should contact Rick's pools to help me out to finish their job they got paid for. I feel that I paid them 600$ put chemicals in my pool. I think they have bad business practices. and I call Ricks place who charges 150 in hour to clean pool and 95$ to clean filer that take me 10 min to do. i'm not sure maybe just my experience, but I thought I should share.

The answer is our hot tub, so I am glad to write this review from a position of expertise. On November 3, 2012, we bought a Vista Hot Tub from Scarritt Spas and I thought it would be like an exercise bicycle...get used couple of times the first months and then everyone would gradually lose interest. The opposite has been the truth. I'll bet this tub has been used 150 days a year, every year, since it was installed, at a utility cost of pennies per day. I never thought I would use it...but it is wonderful for achy joints, sore muscles and for just rehabilitating after a hard day's work or a long bike ride. The kids use it almost every night when they are home from college or visiting. There is nothing better than hot-tubbing, with a hat on, during a snow storm. The colder the better. In the summer, the Vista has a low-power setting so the heater does not waste energy, and the kids turn the spa down to a more refreshing 85 degrees. We have had to have it serviced exactly one time, and that was when the heat pump was acting up and Scarritt came out and replaced it for free; two days after we called. In terms of maintenance; I have replaced the filters one time and I had to order a new cover after I inadvertently went all the way through it while pushing snow off. The chemicals are inexpensive; they do not even run $100.00/year. I thought I was going to have to be a chemist to keep the tub balanced but one of the greatest free services Scarritt provides is the ability to bring in a water sample and they print out a sheet of specific instructions of what to add to the tub. I don't have to do that often, it's usually a teaspoon here or a tablespoon there, but it gives me great peace of mind knowing it is well balanced. I can't wait for the grandchildren to be old enough to enjoy it, I am sure it will still be every bit as dependable at that point.

The first one was professional and just couldn't get close to what I could afford. I did notice he didn't take any measurements. The second manager wasn't any help at all and tried to talk me into making installment payments. I couldn't get it through his head that I couldn't afford to make monthly payments And at my age who would want to or afford to. He left very perturbed. He also didn't take any measurements or give me a price. I was very discouraged and really didn't think that I was going to get anew shower. Then Tony arrived. I explained what had happened on the first 2 appointments He immediately put me at ease . He explained the differences between the products that the other 2 companies used and his products. We then checked out the bathroom .Tony explained what the plumber and installer would do. He also checked out the Cellar to make sure there wouldn't be any problems down there. Tony taken all the measurements before going to the Cellar. Then he wrote up the qoute explaining The configuration and parts that were being ordered. I was very excited to see that Tony was able to make the remodel happen. I can't say enough about Tony. Excellant communication, Knowledgeable, fantastic customer service, and a pleasure to work with. He did advise me that the installment would happen around the first week in November. It was actually completed 2 Weeks prior to that. I can't say enough about the Bath Fitter team. I originally contacted Spa Keepers in late 2015 to repair a Sundance spa that had a burst pipe from…read morea previous winter. The tech was very pleasant and easy to work with. He diagnosed the issues and found a number of items that needed repair, including a heater and some piping (all damaged due to the freezing). The parts were ordered and although originally came in wrong (causing a re-schedule), they did finally come out and in late October and repaired the tub. The repairs went fine. The tech showed me all of the parts, made sure the water levels stayed up, etc. We had an old filter that he cleaned off and said would be OK to use as we were not going to be using the tub for the foreseeable future, we just wanted it repaired and running. The tech made no indication that the filter may cause future issues. (Note: The tub was never used during this entire time and the cover was kept on) I spot-checked the tub over the next few months --- the second time I checked about 2 months later -- I noticed the temperature was recording about 15 degrees below the set temperature. Everything else seemed fine. I checked the settings and left. The next time I came the temperature was back to the set temperature and all seemed well. About 2 months later I noticed the same problem again and so I called Spa Keepers and informed them of the issue and mentioned we just had the heater replaced. I also gave them full details of the situation in advance, in case this would trigger possible solutions ahead of time or in case they needed to bring a part, etc. I have them flexibility to choose whatever time was convenient for them, as the tub was outside. A new tech game and after some inspection determined that the filter was causing the heating issue -- he said that the fact that the filter was clogged or had reduced capacity, it was reducing the flow and so the tub could not properly heat. He indicated they could order me a replacement for approximately $95 + $10 shipping but did not have one on hand. A few days later I received a bill for a $90 service call + $115 for the first hour of service. I politely wrote in asking if they had any leeway to adjust the bill down as no service really needed to be done... and that I was never warned that the filter should be replaced or it could cause this issue -- and was never asked when I called for the follow up if I had tried changing the filter. Janessa wrote back: "Our previous service visit was on 10/27/15 so the filters are not in the same condition as they were on your 3/7/16 appointment. It is important to clean and replace your filters as needed." Our tub was not used at all during that time and we were told it would be OK to use the existing filter. We also never experienced this problem with the tub in 10 years of use. I also received a "non-apology" (basically apologizing that you feel a certain way): "We do appreciate your business and apologize if you feel that you were not given the information you needed regarding filter maintenance." While I did not expect them to eliminate the bill, considering I had just spent ~ $1500 in overhauling the tub and was not warned the filter would cause this issue, even a token gesture saying "you know, since we were only there a few minutes we will waive part the hourly fee" would probably have sufficed. Instead they doubled down on their charges -- "Our minimum charge to come out is $218.02 regardless of the result of your visit. " Now contrast this to a plumber that came out to repair a leaky drain cap on a shower -- the plumber arrived, looked at the drain cap and said "I'm not going to charge you for this -- take a screwdriver and a hammer and tighten the plate and your problem will be solved for free". In Summary: Spa Keepers original service tech was great and personable. Their customer service handling of situations is lacking and I avoid companies that don't make reasonable accommodations based on situations. As for whether replacing the filter will resolve the issue, I don't know -- I will update this in the future.
