The price/value offering is my main concern and the reason for the 2 star rating. The lil poke bowl includes one protein and two toppings with a sauce and choice of brown or white rice, vermicelli noodles, or salad. The cooked protein option is cold chicken that had a sweet/salty sauce. One scoop of cooked chicken is not expensive yet the bowl is $14.45. They opened a ghost kitchen that offers loaded hotdogs through a brand called oomami dog. The menu seems to be inspired by japadog which started in Vancouver. The price of a hotdog with some unique toppings is +/- $15. I understand that the food cost for most restaurants is 30% or less but that is supposed to cover servers wages, dishwashing costs, and the dining room space itself. Oomami does not pay for any of that overhead since Splash Poke is the name on the lease. Regarding the actual food: the bun is the exact same type that you get from your local grocery store. Retail for one of these is under $0.40. The hotdog itself might be slightly more: maybe $1.00 retail. Then there are some toppings but the size and flavour do NOT justify the price. Japadog is an international brand that has built a consumer base over years of hard work selling hotdogs on the street of downtown Vancouver. Through the rain and weather they built a dedicated following, saved money, and opened up actual restaurants and increased their menu. Oomami Dog wants to jump on the bandwagon, copy the business model and charge top dollar for something that could be made at home. I'm all for marketplace competition but this is not the way to success. If you want to find a competitive product to Japadog, go to It'Dog on 109 st near the university. This place serves Korean inspired hotdogs and fried chicken at reasonable prices. Their most expensive dog is $10 but the average is $8 (almost 50% less than Oomami). They also offer bulgogi poutine and other contemporary Korean street food.

Check my reviews, I eat at a LOT of poke places. Now, to be fair, the poke here is good. But the issue is they charge extra per scoop of ahi tuna. Ahi is the main staple of a poke dish, you don't charge a per scoop extra fee for the main ingredient and punish people for going with the standard. I wanted a large bowl and asked for ahi, they told me on top of the $17 price for the bowl it would be an extra $3. I had to make them explain it to me because I was so confused. It's just a ludicrous policy. And no kimchi... On the plus side they had some Gluten-Free sauces. The fish was fresh, and the topping choices were pretty good. The kids working here were not super great, but did the job. I was really unhappy with the way the menu prices were setup with the agi, no one does this... The poke was good, but I'd suggest 'Ono Poke on 104th St over this.

Hawaiian eats close to home. Poke bowls picking up speed for YEG tastes and memories of island vacays. New Southside location satisfies poke cravings without the drive to their original location downtown. Lots of parking, which is an issue for downtown. Menu is the same. Ordered double protein as single is snack appetizer size. DH likes his classic protein on salad and me tropical on salad & brown rice. Asked for more salad as server was cheap on the veggies and it's a $15 bowl!!! Unripe mango in mine put the bowl off, skip the mango. DH poke was on the saltier side. We'll be back for a healthy meal on the go.

Newly opened branch so it was worth a try. I ordered The Classic at $14.95 - comes in small served plastic bowl. I was surprise with the added raw tuna and salmon as the 'protein,' i would prefer it cooked if added to corn, veggies and rice. My son added: Can they served it in non-plastic container too?

Been meaning to try this place for ages and glad we finally did! Unlike poke you'd find in Hawaii where the entire serving is marinated sashimi grade fish with usually some tangy wakame salad or bits of tasty seaweed, these poke bowls feature a scoop (or 3) of sashimi grade fish cubes, choice of sauce and toppings placed on a large bed of choice of rices, or salad. The customization option is nice, love the garlic aioli and how you can ramp up the heat if you wish or have a lighter salad vs a heartier rice bowl. Would be nice if the fish was marinated so it uptake more flavor vs just being on the surface. It can get pricey if you up the amount of protein, but overall the poke bowls are tasty and great as a grab and go.

Wasn't too hungry so I got their smallest size (10.95) as a snack. The poke style here is you choose your fixings and sauces and then they toss everything together and mix. I don't prefer my poke this way, but at least their sauces are decent and fish was fresh. I got the ahi tuna (1.00) for a surcharge and minimal fixings as the smallest bowl didn't come with much. It tasted good, but at a price...

YUUUUMMMMY. Location on the South Side finally, dont have to trek all the way to Whyte or Downtown to enjoy the trendy eats that come to town. Located on Calgary Trail South just across LA Fitness and behind A & W. I am letting you all know, as it took a bit to manuver getting there if you missed the turn. BUT how can you miss the GIANT pink sign sticking out on Calgary trail, well...1. If going the opposite way, you cant see it as its only a one way south. 2. Its ADJACENT to it, and its located inside the complex so if you pass the sign, you pass the Poke! Walking in from the cold -in April- I felt like I transitioned into summer right away. Light, minimal decor but the music was as if you were on the beach. Loved it. Staff were very new but nice. Fast and efficient. Friendly and talkative and the line was steady. We all couldnt decide and they were helpful with choosing selections. You get the "pre-made" but you can change what you want in it. OR you can build your own. I got the Classic 14.95$ and made a few changes so it came out to be below 20$. The 3 Splash was worth it as it was enough for two people or you can take it to go and have some left overs for later. Worth it, still fresh later on! Fish, fruit and salad were very fresh and their sauces- especially with the combo of siracha, yum! I dont mind the plastic containers as its easy to take to go if you order more. Its a combo of sit-in /take away and works for me. Parking is great as they have a shared lot. Id go again for sit in or take out! YAY for being on the Southside!!!!!!!

Their second location! Located just south of the Whitemud off Calgary trail. Easy to get to with lots of customer parking- which is a nice option if you don't want to hunt for parking downtown. I came for lunch and I really enjoy how you can customize your bowl to what proteins you want added in. Fresh and satisfying. This is my first poke bowl so can't compare it to others but I'd come back here again Returned asecond time and ordered "the works"- so good!!! I would recommend sticking to their specials off the menu (instead of building your own). They have just the right sauce combos.

Splash poke is just like the other locations fresh and flavourful. Really enjoy how we could split the base with green and rice. This location has a lot of seats, wish they had an open sign... we thought it was closed when we arrived.

Left - The classic Right - The tropical

Came here around 8 on Friday night (The one in Calgary trail location), it was very empty as expected as it was quite late. Ordered the classic with rice ($14.95) and the tropical with noodle ($14.95). I did not expect much as you could easily picture what the tastes like. But I recommend go with rice than noodle as the noodle doesn't absorb the sauce easily and it makes it a little bit flavorless. I consider this as a healthy version of fast food but more on the pricey side. Service - 5/5 Would I come back - 4/5 Would I recommend - 4/5

Outside Store front, easy to miss as it's a bit tucked away

Really cute Hawaiian vibe. Prices are on the more pricier side $16-18. Knocking a star off for customer service. There's lots of times I come here and there's no one in the front of the store or a bell to ring to get someone's attention.

I was browsing for a quick healthy lunch option at the Southgate mall food court when this Hula…read morePoke stall caught my eye. The signage stood out from the loud neon lights in the neighboring stalls and beckoned me in a non-flashy way. They were located in the middle of a bunch of fast food chain stalls which had quite the line up. On the contrary these guys didn't look that busy. I had my apprehension due to the lack of patronage, however the drive to eat a healthy meal brought on by my growing mid-section forced me towards their counter. They had a good selection of poke bowls mostly featuring raw fish. I didn't want to be part of an experiment involving my immunity and hence ordered a grilled salmon poke bowl from the menu. The food came out quick. It looked great and tasted even better. I wasn't super hungry and hence the serving size was just right. Although the this wouldn't have been enough if I was having one of my starving episodes. The proportion of veggies/salmon to rice was less than desirable but I guess we have to blame it on the inflation and the rising food prices. I might go there again to try out some of their other offerings and mainly to avoid the other fast food outlets in that area.

I tried Splash Poke earlier this work week while on my lunch time walk and though it was A-OK…read more I went with the staff member's recommendation and got The Works for $14.95. I opted to have the salmon and tuna chopped sashimi on a bed greens and had all the toppings included minus the green onions. While I love the idea and LOVE love LOVE poke bowls back home in Seattle or in coastal areas, I just wasn't blown away here. Don't get me wrong - the fish was fresh and the atmosphere bright and clean. But the flavours felt like a jumble. The offerings on the menu didn't really feel like carefully crafted flavours. "The Works" included mango, canned pineapple, and canned corn. Say what? Yeah, it was just an odd combination. I liked the aioli sauces and the nori and sesame seed toppings but I really think this could go from A-Okay to A-mazing if the sauces and toppings felt more crafted. Also $14.95 for maybe two ounces of sashimi feels steep. I'd rather hit up a local sushi bar and order sashimi and a side for the same price but get more fish. If you've never had poke, certainly come and give Splash Poke a try but if you LOVE poke bowls from coastal towns, you might feel like I do. Poke on people, poke on!

There is some parking on the street, a loading zone in front of the building to the south of the store, but during normal traffic, non-covid days, it's usually packed and there is no parking on 109 St. It's a bowl I eat all of... usually in one sitting. It's good, but it's not Maui poke. There's just a little zing missing in the sauce. I can't put my finger on it exactly. Fish is usually fresh, and there's enough in a serving. Price... understandable for a stand-alone shop downtown. Staff wears masks, sanitizer is provided. They don't accept cash payment - card only , but I always feel a bit guilty about the tip bowl, I don't have any coins (which can be sanitized), and tap to pay doesn't have an option. It's a nice quick meal on the go.

Good deals for each day of the week and specials during different events, such as Oilers game day! The layout is nice, each table has its own space, doesn't feel like you're sitting on top of anyone. Great decor. However, where this place lacks is its service. Be prepared to be there for a while. Even to get the first round of drinks or get an order in, takes quite a while. I've went there plenty of times and have always been disappointed. Either portions were small, food wasn't fresh or the dishes were drenched in sauce to the point I couldn't taste the fish. On my visit on a Thursday. I wanted to try their Thursday special (salmon or beef tataki for $12). I was refused bc it was 330pm and it wasn't until after 4pm. There was no indication on websites or menu this was not a daily special but rather just an evening special on thursdays. Pretty misleading. So I opted to try their sushi tacos since I love them from taco nori in vancouver and have been hunting for them here in edmonton area. I ordered three of them. The spicy salmon, the rock crab and the Joe's special. I was ordering from the taco menu and was specifically mentioned that I just wanted tacos. And for whatever reason the waitress bought me out a Joe's special roll which is double the price of what I actually ordered. I refused the bait and switch and requested I get what I actually ordered. I wasn't too happy at this point and just wanted to leave. But to top it off. Within 20 min of eating I had serious food poisoning which really made me question how fresh everything actually was. It tasted great. But handling or storage or something was off to make me get food poisoning and that happens pretty rarely to me. The food was decent and I actually loved the Joe's special taco because it tasted amazing. But km not entirely sure I would want to come back because of bait and switch scheme going on. I gave this place so many chances to redeem themselves but it just disappoints me every single time.
