The owner is from Firenze and the food is pretty traditional Tuscan fare. It is beautifully presented and tastes fantastic, I had the wild boar stew served on polenta with a contorno of spinach and it was fantastic. They have a lovely garden for dining al fresco when the London weather occasionally allows. All in all the atmosphere, the welcome and the service are impeccable, complimentary prosecco on arrival and a glass of limoncello in the garden afterwards were great touches only topped by a proper homemade Tiramisu (not the usual dry, bought in crap you get palmed off with) that was absolutely second to none, I was VERY tempted to order a second helping, it was that good. This is by far the best local restaurant I've been to in Barnet, it deserves to be better known than it is because they actually care about their customers. The restaurant is lovely and light and airy with plenty of tables. No signage to the toilets though!!! Lots of choices on the menu for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Unfortunately the staff left a lot to be desired for. The waitresses didn't seem to speak much English and the manager's attitude was quite unpleasant. He was quite obnoxious. However it didn't spoil a nice evening out.
