I Got the van off of the highway (we were in the middle lane of a 5 lane highway) . As I looked over my right shoulder to change lanes I realized smoke was coming for the vehicle. Luckily , surrounding cars were aware and gave us all the room we needed and we exited I95 and made it to a nearby parking lot. On opening the hood, it became obvious a catastrophic transmission fluid leak occurred. A dip Stick check confirmed this. Eastside Transmission replaced the transmission on the Honda in December 2017, with a two year, 24,000 mile warranty. We paid $ 2,970 for the job. I called Eastside Transmission and informed them of this dangerous failure. My call was never returned.

Hello, My name is Jeremy and I have a 2008 Frontier I was…read moregifted 5 years ago. It's been a great truck, but it started to have slipping issues recently. I didn't know who to talk to and I was worried about whether or not I could fix my truck or whether I would need to get a different one. I reached out (via Yelp) to about 6 shops in the Rochester area. Before this experience, I had heard the name AAMCO, but I had no idea how great they really are. Simply put, AAMCO is great and Shaun is awesome. I made my request on a Friday night and within an hour of sending my request (via Yelp), Shaun gave me a call. We talked on the phone a bit and he quickly shed light on what my scenarios could be for repairing any issues with my truck's transmission. He was able to alleviate and mange my stress about the situation with a simple phone call. We then scheduled a cost-free diagnostic and test drove my truck together. It was great to have that experience -- Shaun was so friendly, knowledgable, and supportive. We scheduled a rebuild of my transmission and everything went as Shaun had described. He also called and gave updates as he said he would. The whole repair process took about 5 days. Please know that during all of this I finally did hear back from other shops and without even seeing my truck, those shops came in with prices that were considerably much more expensive. I feel that AAMCO does great work and that Shaun makes the whole process run smoothly and without a hitch. Thank you Shaun!

I brought my 2013 Ford Edge to Kolb Family Automotive for multiple electrical issues including…read moreclimate control problems, windshield wipers not working, an airbag light, and service advance trac warnings. Their online scheduling system originally booked my appointment incorrectly for 4/2 instead of 4/3, but they did agree to still look over the vehicle, which I appreciated. After diagnosing the vehicle on 4/3, they contacted me with recommended repairs and I approved the work. My vehicle remained there for over two weeks and I picked it up after hours on Friday, 4/24. Immediately after pickup, I realized several of the original issues were still unresolved. The windshield wipers still did not work, the airbag light was still on, and later I discovered my backup camera no longer worked and the ambient temperature display now only showed dashes instead of a reading. I texted them that same evening regarding the unresolved issues. A few days later, I was told the wipers had essentially been forgotten about after another repair was completed and that the airbag concern was not something they worked on due to liability reasons -- something that was never communicated to me upfront despite being one of the main reasons I brought the vehicle in. The only repair that appears improved are the brakes, however now the vehicle shakes while braking. I can finally turn the heat off, but now my AC no longer works either. What was most disappointing to me was the lack of follow-up afterward. I sent a respectful message explaining my concerns after picking the vehicle up and never received any response. At that point, it stopped feeling like an honest mistake and started feeling like my concerns simply were not important. I understand older vehicles can be difficult to diagnose, but after spending a significant amount of money and being without my vehicle for over two weeks, I expected better communication, more thorough follow-through, and confirmation that the original concerns had actually been resolved before returning the vehicle. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed with the experience.
