They specialise in family photo shoots, but can do more artistic shots if you are looking for something a bit different. Unlike more established studios, you have to pay for a makeover here which is £49. You do get one photo with this, but I do think its a little steep for just one picture. The quality of the products appear very good, but do expect to pay a little more than most studios.

We had a nice photoshoot and the photographer (I don't remember the name of the lady) did a fantastic job on our photo session. Then the photo shoot itself was so much fun.Omg! I wanted them all. wow! I don't even…read moreknow where to start! From the minute you walk through the door, you're greeted with someone offering to take all your things for you. You are then offered a drink and you take a seat in the waiting area. You then get to go and take a seat and have your makeup and hair professionally done! the girl I had (kaylee maybe) was beyond amazing with me! She was asking me like what makeup I was comfortable with, giving me her views on what she thinks will work. as she was doing my makeup she was constantly asking me if I was okay and complimenting me. Then we went on to my hair and she Told me what she thought would look nice and work, which I happily agreed with and let her just take the lead. And the outcome of my hair and makeup was amazing! I felt amazing, it was a good start to making me feel more confident for my shoot. and the shoot... wow! My photographer came and got me and took me to the room, she grabbed my things and carried them over. She asked like what outfits I had, how they would work and things and then she basically just worked her magic. She made me feel AMAZING! Constantly saying how good I looked, how the photos were looking and things. I would highly recommend! I've never done anything like this before but it has definitely made me feel more confident about myself and just feel overly incredible! Thank you to everyone!
Brilliant experience and lovely staff…read more. The ONLY reason I've not given 5 stars is the pressure to have 'dad' in the photos when booking, it really should be optional and our choice being our experience. It's not always convenient for 'dad' to be around or may not even be on the scene. Maybe bear this in mind so people don't feel pressured or embarrassed by it. My sister-in-law dropped out of the experience for this reason- having 2 dads to her 4 children, she just wanted one of them yet she was told it wasn't an option. Custom was lost and she was upset that she wasn't given a choice, also felt slightly humiliated. Otherwise you guys are very welcoming and easy to talk to, very happy with our photos too

Martin was able to resolve our problems straight away and knew exactly how the photos needed to be formatted for a Chinese visa. We would certainly go back for any future passport photos.

I have just received very poor service. I think I can define this as the worst service I've ever…read morereceived in my life. First, the Customer Assistant didn't explain herself properly about the fast service, then, she left to assist other customers who were probably her friends, and when she came back and I asked a question (about the fast service which she didn't finish to explain) she became rude and impolite beyond imagination. I felt almost verbally attacked. It was one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life. I have always been a polite customer and an even more polite (when I was working as) Customer Assistant so for me that behaviour was unacceptable.
I came to Morag Macdonald (Documentary Image) to have some head shots done around a month ago…read more It was fantastic, it's always so difficult to have an individual photo done like that as you always feel a little uncomfertable, but Marag made the whole thing so easy and comfertable and drawing out exactley what I was looking for in the photo. You are paying for the quality, and you definatley get it. From the moment you walk in the studio it is such a relaxed, but very modern and contemporary atmosphere. There are a couple of sofa's so you can sit and read a magazine while you wait for all the equipment to be set up. Then you are given alot of time and attention during the shoot itself. Afterwards I had a chat with Morag about the kind of finish I was after and she new exactly what it was I meant and we scheduled in a time in a few days for me to come and check the photo's were ok and come and pick them up. All in all a really easy but brilliant photography session.

It really put our minds at ease so on the day, Morag knew where we'd be, at what time and knew who everyone was when it came to group photos. Morag is such a lovely lady who put both Ellie and I at ease - she even managed to get some great kissing shots of us - something we never thought we could pull off! :o). The rest of her photos were stunning too from the bridal morning shots, to the church, to an oak tree and finally the evening reception. She has an amazing ability to blend into the background but also has a great way with people to get the best shots! Morag - Thank you so much for being part of our special day - we loved having you there and so many friends have commented on how friendly you were. We absolutely love and, will totally treasure our photos for years to come. Thank you again. Nick & Ellie. xxx
Great value usually doesn't equal great product…read more I have tested out a few of the digital photo developing outlets in my area and the Boots on Queens Road comes up trumps in terms of both price and quality of photos. It costs 10p per print if you print over 50 photos, for next day pick up (less if you print more and more if you print less). I have paid up to 50p for the same service at other places. But the most important thing for me, is that the man working the developing machine downstairs knows what he is doing - the colours are balanced. Other stores have given me photos that are really quite cold or have too much magenta. So without going to a professional, this is my pick of the High Street options in my area. Although, it is touch and go sometimes as to whether the machine to download your photos is working, so I usually ring up first to check.

I've been to Heartfelt twice now for tea / coffee / cakes and I'm hopelessly enchanted. The owner,…read moreMandy, is genuine and friendly (as is her adorable puppy that floats around the shop like a little ball of well-behaved fluff). The setting is second-to-none, there are a few antique-y tables surrounded by vintage-everything draped vintage-everywhere. When other customers come in, they're often greeted by name and it gives you the feel that Heartfelt has a very happy and loyal fan-base in it's little nook on Alma Vale Road. I'll warn you now, though - you'll go in for a coffee and a cake, or a nice lunch and you'll end up wanting to buy one of everything before you leave. This single shop could provide my entire wardrobe (although it's slightly pricey, it's also completely unique - not a bad combination IMO). Heartfelt isn't in an obvious location so it's easy to miss, but it's well worth seeking out. It's less than a 5-minute walk from the major coffee shops on Whiteladies Road and it's endlessly better than those impersonal giants...

I'm not big on covers bands, but these guys really blew my socks off. It was the perfect soundtrack to the night - everyone in the place was dancing and singing along to every tune in the set - cheesy, yes, but also incredibly fun. The two female vocalists had amazing voices and the rest of the band were extraordinarily tight, but best of all they were just an awful lot of fun. They were definitely the highlight of the night as far as I (and everyone I spoke to) was concerned and I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone. Top notch.
