We stumbled across the website when searching for local wedding photographers and loved the arty, modern style of the pics with a few traditional ones thrown in for good measure. The business is run by the lovely Eleanor and her assistant Jen (who has now started doing weddings herself). Eleanor met us for an informal chat and a drink in a coffee shop and brought along her extensive portfolio - gorgeous pics and black & white shots, glossy ones etc. She was so relaxed and didn't have that awful 'wedding' mentality of charging extortionate prices and being all twee. In fact the price for 8 hours of photo taking on the day and a package of multi-sized photographs, the price was brilliant. On the big day (all a bit of a happy blur now awww) Eleanor arrived early and took shots of me & bridesmaids before the ceremony - she was so patient (I'm not a natural poser) and took hundreds of pics really quickly. She really got into the spirit of our relaxed country wedding (without intruding in any way) and this shows in the glowing photos we've got to treasure for the rest of our lives. Elenor was fantastic she was so helpful from the first time we met at a wedding fair. she answered all of our questions and gave us as much time as we needed when choosing which package we wanted. Photos are so beautiful. Elenor and her second photographer Heidi photographed so many moments that would would have forgotten otherwise. our guests all said they barely noticed them there. The options for kids were great, there is a packed lunch station where for £4.50 you can select 5 items that go in a cardboard box. Or a hot food menu for £5.50 that comes with a drink and yogurt or fruit. My son went for the Mac and cheese too. The food was delicious but both dishes came out lava hot and when you've got a starving child the last thing you want is to have to sit and wait while the food cools down. I also thought the hot kids meals were a little over priced but then it was kind of expected considering this was @bristol. Overall great experience though and I'd recommend this to anyone with kids looking for a good lunch spot in the centre.

An engaging day out, and a lot more refreshing than a stuffy art museum. Aiming for that (at least for most teachers) impossible goal of making learning fun, it certainly is a fun day out but I'm not sure if too much is learnt there. The exhibits are all interactive, you can pedal to generate power for a T.V. and lift a four foot diameter globe with a very long lever (this is some sort of reference to the ancient Greek mathematician Archimedes, for those that care). This means almost any kid will enjoy themselves here, and you'll see plenty of ten year olds hurtling between each thing, eager to try out everything. The staff are young and keen, and will earnestly explain the science that each exhibit is meant to teach you about. With lots of glass and primary colours it generally feels fresh, something most museums are nothing like. Go there if you've got curious kids to distract, or if you're just a bit of one yourself.

First, the Customer Assistant didn't explain herself properly about the fast service, then, she left to assist other customers who were probably her friends, and when she came back and I asked a question (about the fast service which she didn't finish to explain) she became rude and impolite beyond imagination. I felt almost verbally attacked. It was one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life. I have always been a polite customer and an even more polite (when I was working as) Customer Assistant so for me that behaviour was unacceptable.

Whether you're after birthday surprise banners, congratulations cards, or Easter chicks, you'll find it here. They also stock some excellent accessories for the Stag and Hen party markets - including a range of cheeky items to surprise the bride-to-be. But I did it and if you visit, you've been warned! 5) just around the corner, a 5 min walk takes you to another Banksy - Girl with pierced ear-drum, so might as well take advantage of the locations! Is this worth the 14 pounds entry fee? Most definitely! Not just a ship, there's a whole museum…read morething going on too, and they are currently expanding with the renovation of another building on the other side of the ship, which is going to be recreating Brunel's actual drawing office. The ship is hermetically sealed in its dry dock, with a humidity-controlled environment keeping the remaining hull from rusting. This is where you start your tour, and it's nice and toasty down there on a chilly day. You can wander right around the hull down there, seeing the construction of the metal plates and wondering about the huge rip in the side and the crude patch they applied when the ship was brought back from the Falklands. Next, there's the museum part, where the story of the ship is told by various exhibits. Several items of ship furnishings are there, including the main mast boom; and there are several interactive displays to keep the kids amused. It's also fascinating to peruse actual letters from passengers on the ship, which really give you an idea of what life was like on board. Just through the room where you can dress up in Victorian fashion for a photo, there is an animated film that tells the story of how the ship was salvaged and brought back to Bristol. I found this very interesting, although it could have used a few inserts of documentary footage to liven up the animation sequences. Then on to the actual ship itself, where eschewing the offer to climb the rigging, which costs a extra tenner and is done under supervision with a harness and hard hat of course - I was momentarily tempted I confess; we took our audio tour widget and descended into the interior. You get a choice of 4 audio guides, and with each one there are numbers throughout the ship that you dial into the handset to get the appropriate blurb, which was very cool as you can wander where you will and not have to do it in any particular sequence. The interior is fitted out as it was when she was carrying passengers, so you can really get a feel of what it was like, from the 'steerage' areas with stacked bunks right through to the promenade lounge with its faux-marble columns. Definitely a must-see tour item in Bristol. A fascinating bit of history, and I like the way that you can wander around at your own pace and not feel that you are being harried in any way. I came to Morag Macdonald (Documentary Image) to have some head shots done around a month ago…read more It was fantastic, it's always so difficult to have an individual photo done like that as you always feel a little uncomfertable, but Marag made the whole thing so easy and comfertable and drawing out exactley what I was looking for in the photo. You are paying for the quality, and you definatley get it. From the moment you walk in the studio it is such a relaxed, but very modern and contemporary atmosphere. There are a couple of sofa's so you can sit and read a magazine while you wait for all the equipment to be set up. Then you are given alot of time and attention during the shoot itself. Afterwards I had a chat with Morag about the kind of finish I was after and she new exactly what it was I meant and we scheduled in a time in a few days for me to come and check the photo's were ok and come and pick them up. All in all a really easy but brilliant photography session.

It really put our minds at ease so on the day, Morag knew where we'd be, at what time and knew who everyone was when it came to group photos. Morag is such a lovely lady who put both Ellie and I at ease - she even managed to get some great kissing shots of us - something we never thought we could pull off! :o). The rest of her photos were stunning too from the bridal morning shots, to the church, to an oak tree and finally the evening reception. She has an amazing ability to blend into the background but also has a great way with people to get the best shots!
