Lewis Fackrell Photography Review…read more Eager to get going as soon as the lead is attached to my collar immediately I knew I was going to my favourite place, the park. However, something was different about this walk... When we got to the park we met Lewis. Although I'd never met him before it didn't take me long to feel comfortable in the presence of him and his camera. His friendly approach and calming nature meant he instantly earned my trust and by the end of our walk he had me 'eating out the palm of his hand'. Guiding him around my favourite spots of the park I really gave him the run around, he was crouching down, throwing sticks, running between trees, and even managed to keep me entertained during my usual distractions of picnics, dogs and squirrels. That is quite a challenge if you are familiar with the energy levels of a six month old puppy! Lewis came up with some great ideas and was willing to try anything to ensure he got the best shots. I hadn't even perfected my tricks with my own human yet Lewis was patient and encouraging and had me sitting and striking poses within minutes. A true professional. Overall, Lewis managed to capture my best angles and was able to make me look even more adorable that I already am! I really enjoyed our visit to West 70 Photography…read more We noticed they had opened earlier this year following a few months of renovations (the property used to be a newsagents, now it's unrecognisable). We booked in our appointment very quickly via e-mail and the shoot was arranged for a week later when my brood we're all available. The studio itself is really lovely, we all felt very relaxed and welcome as soon as we arrived. You cannot see the main studio area from the shop front (which we liked as it was private) but it's incredible - look online for pictures of it. It's lovely and spacious and very tidy (my kids soon changed that!!). We were told the shoot would last about an hour - we actually finished a little earlier than planned because of the kids but it felt like plenty long enough. We weren't forced into doing any awkward poses or things we didn't want to do - which I personally really appreciated. The viewing of the images was simple. We were given a TV remote and we're welcome to flick through the images with our photographer (it wasn't a sales person, but our photographer Adam who did the viewing). We weren't under any pressure to spend anything, which he made clear, and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere. The prices for everything are available online and given to you beforehand - so you can know what to expect / make a budget. We ended up buying 20 images, we intended to buy 10 but we couldn't pick between them! We paid for it there and then using card (a nifty little card machine which my kids liked!) and the pictures we're dropped off to us the next day. We also had the option to download them but I wanted the disc. All in, it was unbeatable, hence why I'm happy to review the business. We all really enjoyed ourselves and it was nice to not feel the pressure to spend. I can imagine they are going to do very well in the area! Helpful tip: Visits to the studio are by appointment only (apart from Tuesday afternoons). We went in for our viewing at 7pm - we we're told we could pick any time which was very useful.
