No other flights cancelled but one spirit flight how can you blame weather!

Only flight cancelled all morning at Newark Aport they blamed air traffic control and weather so they have zero responsibility to their customers! Cost me $1225 extra for 4 passengers to fly on United a little bit after the spirit flight should have left. Could have also flown frontier or delta all left no prob!

I decided to take a spontaneous vacation and a Spirit flight was the only option for same day travel! I booked my trip at 6am and left at 10pm that night for my adventure. I opted to let Spirit pick the seats for my family of 3 and that worked in our favor. We ended up with seats in row 4 at no extra cost and the middle seats were empty!! The gate for Spirit at EWR is extremely dated. There are few (very expensive) food options available, vending machines and a Starbucks. Boarding the flight went without incident. We boarded on time and left on time which I've heard is not the norm for this airline. The flight attendants were very friendly and did their best to make sure everyone was ready for take off. They have snacks and drinks available for purchase. I highly suggest bringing your own snacks with you. The seats are not the best! My flight was a little over 2 hours and that was more than enough for me. I had enough room to stretch my legs a little but the seats are like sitting on bricks! The tray for eating is enough for a mouthwash cup and a small bag of chips. Do what you will with that information. They did not check the size of any of our personal items. We all had small duffles that we were able to put under the seats. I paid $0 for bags and I was very happy about that. There's no entertainment at all and the wifi is not free! I suggest downloading movies/music on your phone or bringing a book to read. I was nervous to book and fly with spirit based on all of the negative reviews. I am happy to report that it's really not that bad! Again, any flight over 2 hours is a NO on this airline for me and that's only because the seats are uncomfortable.

Bro, I wish Spirit had more comfortable seats because I always enjoy flying with them. Especially considering the price. I have flown with them a lot over the years to many destinations all across the USA and I rarely if ever have any issues except for their cramped seating arrangements. I usually get a big seat up front or an emergency exit seat depending on the price. FYI: call their customer service number for the best price as they always discount heavily the day of your flight. On this flight to PIT I got an emergency exit seat for $10 but I hate that they have those dividers in between them. Remove those stupid things. But the leg room is great if you're over 6' tall like I am. Their terminal at EWR is nice too. Small but they have what you need. All and all this was a super smooth flight and the service was good.

I hadn't flown Spirit in many years. Today I completed my second flight in as many months! For me, if it's a decent savings versus another airline, I'll fly Spirit! I've never seen such happy and smiling cabin crews on another airline! Maybe they're happy because they only have to cater to the first 5 rows of passengers! Whatever the reason, they're visibly happy! Yes the seats don't recline but I've found them as comfortable, if not more so, than seats on other airlines. Yes, there's no entertainment, but if I am saving $50 on my ticket, that pays for 6 months of Netflix. So I've taken two flights and had no issues. If it's a good deal, I'll be flying Spirit again!

I thought this airline was going to be bad, there was good leg space (since I'm short) It was comfortable, there wasn't TV but it didn't matter. I got good sleep even if it was only a 2 hour flight. Best part is there was no turbulence on my flight.

Horrible airline. Horrible people. Plane was late, overbooked, the AC Wasn't working. Gate staff were idiots and jerks! Do not fly!!!

I've been flying every couple of months on JetBlue and I still really like them…read more Once on board you can control what you watch or listen to. I love using the app to book my flights, get my seat assignment and decide what level I want to pay for when it comes to my ticket. The staff is always very friendly, especially when you're on board. When you fly JetBlue you get free movies, free TV, free music, free Wi-Fi, a free nonalcoholic drink,and snack. .. They are serving alcohol again, and there is a charge and you must use a credit card whether you purchase food, drinks, earphones, blankets, pillows etc. You don't get all the riffraff like when you fly Spirit Airlines. Passengers are normally very quiet and they know how to handle their children so they're not unruly. I love that they board people very quickly and if there's no backup at Newark, you can get out immediately. Sometimes there's an occasional delay but that problem has to do with Newark Airport and not having enough Air Traffic Controllers and too many planes departing and arriving. Sometimes the pilot can make up time in the air. I also love that JetBlue is in the new terminal A and not terminal C, which is the international terminal and a pain in the neck to get in and out of. Now JetBlue and United have joined forces together. Hopefully for the better. Only time will tell.

Abandoned at the wrong airport with zero support…read more JetBlue's motto of "bringing humanity back to travel" is a joke. On January 18th, my family of four (including two children) was left stranded at the airport for over four hours with zero communication, zero transparency, and ultimately, zero way home. ​After a massive delay, JetBlue dropped us at a different airport than our ticketed destination. Instead of providing the ground transportation or the assistance required, they essentially abandoned us. We were forced to pay for our own Uber just to get home after being ignored by staff for hours. ​To make matters worse, their "customer service" is a ghost town. I waited on hold for an eternity, requested a callback, and when they finally called--they hung up on me. ​They have lost a loyal family of customers. Quite tired of all the negative reviews, mostly from inexperience, non-business travels who are very inflexible and/or have no clue how to schedule connecting flights or ow to properly pack or what to expect when utilizing air travel, which are 99% of the 1 or 2 star reviews for most any airline, especially the extremely large ones like AA. My experience isn't inline with these negative reviews and I use AA weekly. 95% of the experience is very positive, mostly ontime, comfy, and professional. Highly recommend AA!

American Airlines Newark check-in staff this morning around 4:15 AM were extremely rude and…read moreunprofessional. The entire customer service experience was nasty from the beginning. What really bothered me was seeing a Spanish-speaking passenger struggle because he didn't speak much English, and the staff showed little patience or professionalism. It honestly came across as dismissive and discriminatory instead of helpful. To make matters worse, the flight attendants were not pleasant either and carried attitude throughout the flight. I'm currently connecting in Dallas and hoping the next flight experience is completely different because so far this has been unacceptable customer service. Do better, American Airlines. Side note I wish I could give zero stars.

What a a great deal, great flight, and great staff…read more This flight was from LMM to EWR and it was 4 hours of smooth sailing. We purchased the seats three rows back from the entrance door where the middle seat can't be purchased so we could have all three seats to ourselves months in advance and got a great deal. The seats were pretty comfy and there was a lot of legroom compared to economy. The service was great and the pilots did a great job too. I've flown Frontier a couple times over the years but this was the best flight I've ever had with them, other than the flight from EWR to LMM. Thanks again for everything. Safe travels :)

Warning: Avoid Frontier Airlines - A Nightmare Experience If…read moreyou're considering flying with Frontier Airlines, do yourself a favor and don't. My recent experience was an absolute nightmare, and I want to warn others before they make the same mistake. I booked a flight through FlightHub for Frontier Airlines Flight 4092 from Tampa to Baltimore, scheduled for January 31, 2025, at 5:01 a.m. My wife and I were traveling to Quantico, VA, for my son's graduation as a U.S. Marine Corps Warrant Officer, a once-in-a-lifetime event. Unfortunately, Frontier's horrible policies, lack of communication, and terrible customer service turned our trip into an expensive disaster. No Customer Service, No Help, No Accountability Before the trip, I tried multiple times to contact FlightHub and Frontier Airlines to clarify baggage policies. FlightHub had no working customer support--just a useless chat line that wasn't even operational. Frontier Airlines was just as bad--I couldn't reach a single person to ask simple questions about baggage check-in policies. If I had been able to speak to someone, I might have avoided this entire ordeal. Hidden Baggage Check-in Rule = Missed Flight When we arrived at Tampa International Airport at 3:50 a.m., we were shocked to be told we could not check in our luggage because of a hidden three-hour check-in rule that was never made clear in any of the emails I received from Frontier. Yes, I had my boarding passes, but I was told my luggage wouldn't be allowed on the plane. I asked if the bags could be sent on a later flight, but the answer was a flat-out no. I was literally told my luggage would just "stay right here" and not go anywhere. What kind of airline refuses to help customers with their luggage--especially when they've done everything right by arriving early? Forced to Buy New Tickets for the Same Airline I then asked if we could rebook onto the next available flight using the tickets we had already paid for. The answer? No. Instead, we were forced to pay for two brand-new tickets just to get to our destination. We had to book: Flight F9-2911 (Tampa Atlanta) Flight F9-2634 (Atlanta Baltimore) Same airline, same day--but Frontier still made us pay all over again. More Money Grab: Double-Charging for Luggage As if that wasn't bad enough, I was initially told I'd have to pay an additional $69 per bag for luggage I had already paid for. Luckily, one staff member was at least reasonable enough to waive that fee. But why was I being charged again in the first place? Final Thoughts: Never Again This whole experience was a complete rip-off. Frontier Airlines showed zero flexibility, zero understanding, and zero customer service. Their baggage check-in rule is intentionally hidden, their support is nonexistent, and their policies are designed to scam passengers into paying more. If you value clear communication, decent service, and fairness, stay far away from Frontier Airlines. Pay a little more for a reliable airline--you'll save yourself the headache, stress, and wasted money in the long run. Would I ever fly Frontier again? Absolutely not. And I strongly advise everyone else to avoid them at all costs.

Looking at airport options in the NYC area, there was JFK, LaGuardia, and EWR. I've never flown out of EWR before, and saw that it had the latest flight leaving NYC at 9:00 P.M EST. This was helpful since I had to leave the office at around 5:30, and needed time to get out of the Financial District in NYC on a Wednesday evening. I booked a nonstop on JetBlue out of Newark, and thankfully the whole airport experience ended up being pretty smooth. The airport itself was much nicer than I expected, especially for such a busy New York area airport. The terminal felt modern, clean, and fairly easy to navigate in the terminal that I was at for the Jetblue flight. There were plenty of food options, seating areas, and charging spots! Flying out of Jetblue from EWR was wonderful. Getting to the terminal and gate wasn't too difficult. The boarding was well organized and there was plenty of open seats on the plane at that flight time. It also arrived a few minutes early into Orlando! Newark Liberty was a good airport experience for a first visit. I only tried [2] different food options though before boarding my flight. It was a quick experience, but I would consider flying out of EWR again for another nonstop flight.

Well that is absolutely correct. While walking through the terminal everything was clean and modern . I even asked an employee for directions and they walked me to my destination . I have been to many airports and this was clean modern well organized . I look forward to pass through again .
