Stopped in to pick up a quick breakfast bowl on the way to work. This location is always pretty busy in the morning, but it didn't take too long to receive my order. I ordered through the kiosk, since none of the prepared bowls on display seemed to be what I wanted. The kiosk is easy to use. Inside the store is tidy for the most part. There was a slight smell near the drink machines resembling prolonged wet carpet, or the machines needing to be cleaned. I usually choose to get my gas at Spinx if it is close by. I love the app since you are always being offered great perks. I visited this location and went in to get a drink. Standing just inside the doors there was a teenager selling the Palmetto Roses. I have a reason to doubt that he was licensed to do to. I mentioned to the supervisor (name tag appointed him as such) when I was checking out and he said something like "I know, we have told him to leave but he keeps returning" and just kind of blew it off. Certainly don't think it should be inside the doors of the store and you can't do anything about it. read more

I have literally never seen a gas station this clean!! My first time in there it smelled fresh and clean, like they had just finished mopping. Yesterday the lady who was super nice by the way, was actually mopping. They have a restaurant inside the store where you place you order from a kiosk. Super convenient and the food was good too. Holy moly Batman and Robin!!!! This 24-hour gas station has the BEST fried chicken!!! And trust ME, I know good fried chicken...lol This gas station was near our hotel in Charleston. While my husband was pumping gas.. I went into the store to pick up a small bag of ice for our date night/4th July picnic in the park. The Fried Chicken "smell" ( made me forget the bag of ice) I ordered 2 pieces of chicken and 2 potato wedges..... Pretty nice Spinx location off West Montague. Pulled in here one day to grab a soda and rest while traffic died down. I was not disappointed by the cleanliness of the store, restroom, and parking lot. The staff was friendly. And best of all they had any size fountain sodas for under a buck (I forget the price). So it was nice to stop and get a big soda while the traffic slowed down for my long drive home. read more

I joined the reward program so when I use my Spinx card (it's connected to your bank account), you save 0.10 to 0.25 cents a gallon on gas. That's huge for me since I use premium. I went in bc this was the only store open on Christmas. I was trying to buy coffee for Nurses who also have to work on Christmas. After the first worker rudely told me I couldn't buy coffee in high quantities and yelled at me saying I couldn't purchase anything in that area. The second worker who was checking me out didn't look up from her phone once while checking me out and left my bags out of reach. I understand this is Christmas and no one wants to work, but some civilness really goes a long way. read more

Great selection of snacks/drinks/etc, they also have a car wash which does a pretty good job as well as 2 air machines and a car vaccuum (that take quarters or credit card payment). Customer service varies, I have had really nice cashiers and pretty rude ones. read more

The food here is pretty decent but the customer service is awful. The employees will have conversations with each other rigcccht in frony of you and make you wait till they have a momebt to do their job. The food service is courteous SOMETIMES but can be veryyyyy slow. read more

Gas station was clean but when the machine didn't print out my receipt I went inside to ask for it. The lady behind the counter was rude. She pursed her lips as if annoyed I had asked her print the receipt. After driving for many hours I want excited to have arrived in Charleston, I had heard Charleston was known for its southern hospitality but I received quite the opposite. Would not go to this Spinx. The workers are RUDE. We visited here from NC and attempted to purchase a scratch off but didn't know they didn't take card, because in NC THEY DO. However when my mom told the cashier, Tiffany, that she only had card, she proceeded to throw the scratch off up in the air and roll her eyes, then asked the next person to come up. Yes, just because we didn't have cash. Then when explaining to the other cashier what happened, the other cashier tried to get an attitude too. They both tried to act like they didn't have an attitude first and were both dismissive when we told them they didn't have to get an attitude. They need to know not everyone would've handled it as calmly as we did, because it could've gotten ugly. I hope they don't treat everyone like that because there was absolutely no reason to do all that. New to NORTH CHARLESTON and SPHINX. Happy with both. Sphinx on Montague us a busy gas station, convenience store, eatery (eat in or take with), and car wash (A+). It takes unyielding effort to keep up with anything that services today's public. While some clean, respectful, mannerly, and patient people do still exist, the rest of the people today are dirty, disrepectful, destructive, argumentative, and apathetic. I worked in a smaller scale establishment with all the amenities that SPHINX offers. Thus, I speak with exerience when I say this is by far one of best groomed (clean/sticked/organized) type of business like this I have seen. It is up there with the awesome Wawas from up north (also working their way up the southeastern coast). Did I mention they have chicken livers? Ahhh! They are delicious, plenty, inexpensive, and come with none of the mess from frying at home! Employees have all been very pleasant, helpful, and actually don't spear to hate their jobs.The manager is right in their working with the crew. I visited the Spinx at 4895 Ashley Phos Rd, #352,N Chas, SC on 5/11. Feeling hungry so I decided to order something to eat. After placing my order I noticed the young man preparing my food was not wearing gloves but that I could also see most of his behind because his pants were not covering it. This has to be a serious violation. Not only germs from his hands but from his uncovered rear end as well. Drew Stancoff, the assist manager, appeared more concerned that I described the the young man's appearance as half of his ass is showing than the actual severity of the matter. I'm assuming he was only trying to take the emphasis from the employee on to me. That didn't work. He is young and obviously lacks training and experience. I highly recommend he receives procedural training but also training in personnel management. Integrity can't be taught, you either have it, or you don't. The only two people who showed any concern were the two young female cashiers. They are the best employees you have at that location at that time. read more

I frequently go to Spinx and I was thinking maybe at this location something or someone did something to piss the staff off but after several trips to this store I see that it's just the workers there not all of them but beware of the old black lady behind the food counter she is the just down right nasty and does not need to be working with the public period. You'll recognize her the minute you see her she's just mean and rude for no reason I went in at lunchtime today and was trying to ask her if they had any grill chicken sandwiches since there was none up on the rack she replies we have plenty of chicken in a smart elic way the only thing this location has going is the food. read more

Will never use any of their Gas Stations put a 150$ hold on my bank account and I never got gas the pumps were not working properly so I was a dummy and tried 2 times their credit / debit system is terrible so unless you have alot of $$$$$ for them to hold go elsewhere read more
