My most recent visit to this CVS was exceptional. While I received a chilly greeting from a pharmacy staff member, the front staff associate, Latisha made up for their shortcomings. I was looking for a product from pharmacy shelf and unable to find it. Before checking out I asked Latisha. She left her post at the register and walked me back to where she thought it might be. She couldn't find it so we scoped out a couple other aisles until we found it. She wasn't in a hurry and was never rude. Retail is tough these days because there's never enough staff for all the tasks of that job. But Latisha recognizes the importance of eye contact and a pleasant personality for the customer standing in front of you and I truly appreciate her effort and kindness. read more

We needed deodorant and other toiletries while we were in North Charleston for a music festival. CVS was on the way to the directions we took to Riverfront Park. We were able to grab the essentials. The layout was a bit dodgy with where to locate certain items. But the space is quite spacious so you don't feel people are on top of you. There seemed to be technical difficulties at the self checkout based on some of the other customers who will either trying to scan items and/or pay. Not sure if it was just human error or a glitch but we waited a few minutes at the front of the queue for people to figure their stuff out. Still, we bought what we needed and this CVS was the only one that was close enough from the hotel we stayed and where we were going. read more

I only have a few complaints about this location: it is a bit older/smells that way and seems run down & they don't have a photo counter. Other than that, this location has been great. I am always greeted when I come in and asked if I need help being pointed in the right direction or help to find anything. The pharmacy staff is all just as wonderful. The store is clean and organized well. I've never had any issues. I'll continue to use it. read more

Honestly it's more of 4/5 because it's a bit of an older building. There are nicer CVSs. But I've never had a problem here and the staff is great. The 1 star reviews are very undeserved in my opinion, it's a solid store and I hope my review helps balance them out. read more

Wish I could give -5 stars have wasted so much time here on the phone with my insurance and with their horrible staff who doesn't care. The building is dilapidated and their drive through has been broken for some time. Honestly this is the worst cvs pharmacy in all of the US. Don't bother. They're "understaffed" everyday. I worked in the busiest pharmacies in Florida (at Walgreens) and this is NOT how you run a successful pharmacy. Poor management. Techs that don't even know the difference between capsules and tablets and at least one pharmacist that advised me to take a laxities when I asked for a very specific form of magnesium (hint: I wasn't looking for a laxative). CVS on East Montague Avenue in North Charleston is a well managed CVS location that is very convenient and easy to access when you are in the area and need some basic items. The store is well organized and I have been able to find exactly what I was looking for each time I have shopped here. The staff here is very helpful when you need their assistance. read more

I have leukemia and have had a bone marrow transplant. Require a great number of medication's. Live near the CVS so it would be convenient to get meds here. However, they have literally never been able to fill a single prescription except for lidocaine patches. And that was only once. Dropped off a prescription yesterday for fluoride toothpaste and they can't even manage to fill that in over 24 hours. All the prescriptions just say pending. I have given up and would rather drive downtown in traffic to get my prescriptions rather than deal with anything at CVS. This was a new prescription and their automated system will not let you find out what the status is without the refill prescription number. That's wonderful if it's not a new prescription. I cannot believe this corporation is so ridiculously bad at this. My pharmacy downtown has the ability to do everything online at the click of a mouse. read more

NEVER.AGAIN. The only reason I stopped here was that I needed to use the restroom before visiting a friend who had just moved into their house. First of all, the parking lot was dim and horribly maintained. I walked into the store and asked a sales associate where I could locate the restroom, and she griped a bit and pointed to the back of the store. I thanked her and walked past the makeup, since I do love checking out the deals they often have. Bare shelves and trash accompanied me on my journey to the back of the store (which I had to get to via Fire Exit Alarm Will Sound Door....which didnt go off and doesn't seem safe). I finally get to the restroom only to find it is THE MOST DISGUSTING PLACE. No dramatics here, it was terrible. I can't even think of an adjective that would fit how terrible it was. I wasn't here to shop, so who knows if they have great deals, but the store itself made me want to take 3847 hot showers, so I won't be coming back. read more

This place has been a nightmare for the past few months. There are constantly boxes in every aisle blocking merchandise. The pharmacists have gotten more and more rude as time goes on. I recently went to the self check out and it charged me $5.44 for nothing before I even started. The cashiers refused to come over and help me and made me stand in the long check outline before they would even address the issue. Once I finally got to the front, they seemed baffled and took several minutes to try to even figure out what happened. I finally just left and forfeited the money. I will not be going here again. The attitude of everyone there is too much. read more

Overall I have been pretty pleased with this CVS, the staff is always friendly and it is always clean. Their selection is not always great but really that is the same at all CVS stores as far as I can tell. I don't have any experience with the pharmacy so I cannot comment on the service on that portion of the store. I will mention that I have gotten to where I try not to stop in here at night, there seem to be some.. interesting characters around after dark. On one of my most recent trips some drug dealers were being arrested in the front of the parking lot near the entrance for one example. But shady nighttime activity aside not a bad quick stop for necessities. read more

I am a Park Circle resident and have used this CVS as my primary pharmacy since we moved here. Never had any problems with the pharmacy itself, but today I went in with a $7 off coupon from my last purchase there and the coupon didn't match with my CVS card and they wouldn't give me the money off. The cashier treated me like a criminal, and I tried to explain to her that the cashier must have typed my number in wrong last time. She wasn't having it and was extremely rude. I wish I had just walked away but I bought what I had in my hand anyway. I will NEVER buy another thing from this store. Who steals a coupon from someone else? I made the purchase and I wanted my deserved money off. Complete BS... the cashier offered no help to get to the bottom of the situation either... so I'm done with CVS, I'll go to the rite aid down the street next time. read more

This is the WORST CVS I have ever been to. When I first walked in, there was a horrible smell that hit me as soon as I walked in. Hate this place. It's soooo close to where I live, but I've transferred out most of my Rxs anyway. They ALWAYS say it will be a two hour wait to fill any Rx I bring there, and even then it's not usually ready in time. (And we're talking things like ear drops here, where all they've got to do is drop a prepackaged bottle into a bag and ring it up.) I've never in my life been to a pharmacy that takes that long to do its job. Most injurious of all is that, every time I'm there, the only thing that they all seem to be doing behind the counter is talking to each other and eating sandwiches. No wonder it takes two hours to get things done. And what a previous reviewer said about the place smelling horrible is absolutely true: every time I've gone in there, it's like a combination of barf and baby diapers. It stings the nostrils. I've probably been in this place 15 or more times and gone through the drive thru 8 or 9--I have some health problems and need medicine for them. It always takes so long to get service drive thru style that it's usually easier just to walk in. Plus the drive thru is on this potholed rear road on the backside of the building, and it's not accessible from the main parking lot. It's weird to turn into, and you have to drive over some bumpy patches to get to it. There's a Walgreens about a mile and a half away on Remount Rd that seems much nicer and fills prescriptions in an average amount of wait time. It also smells normal. I've started going there instead. read more
