My wife visited The Spinning Wheel recently with our baby daughter and two friends, also with babies. They entered in through the garden exit but as it was raining decided to head inside. However due to steps at this entrance and 3 buggies, they headed round to the street entrance. They were met in the doorway by a member of staff who informed them they would not be able to enter the cafe. Upon asking why they were told that there was not enough room inside for buggies, even though the cafe was extremely quiet at this time. Aside from being one of the larger cafes in town, there was no offer of leaving the buggies in the room to the left, or outside. It was a plain and simple "You're not welcome" message before any of their feet crossed the threshold! This cafe has previously had a good reputation for welcoming parents and children which was why they had chosen to go there. In a small, friendly town like Droitwich I think this is an absolute disgrace and will certainly spread the message of the appalling way in which the ladies were treated. They went instead to "Muffin Break" in the centre of St Andrew's Square, a considerably smaller cafe where they were warmly welcomed with their babies and buggies by the friendly and attentive staff. read more
