I am a 460 year old male who has had back problems my whole life. It started when I was 13. I have…read morealways been athletic and in good shape and even with back issues played sports. My back would go out and freeze up 2-3 times a year on average for about 3-4 days and then I could function. This happened for 25 years until 2 years ago my back went out in February 16. This time was different I didn't recover from it after 2 weeks and it was getting worse.I was bed ridden and could not function as my pain level was of the charts I went to the doctors and they did the same they always do x-ray. The day of the x-ray getting back into my car I basically got paralyzed and couldn't move. I ended up in the hospital that day with a pain level that was worse than anything I ever felt. Turned out I had a BULGING DISC AND HERNIATED DISC. That had been my problem the whole time since i was a kid.The disc has been pushing on my spinal cord causing it to freeze up. The difference now is my disc burst and was leaking fluid onto my spinal cord. This was shown from my MRI which was the first I've received. The doctors wanted to cut out my L5 and S1 disc and put one rod on each side of my spine with 3 screws in each side. At first I wanted to do the surgery because I only wanted to not suffer anymore. However the more I looked into the results of the surgery the more I changed my mind. The stories I herd were horrible about recovery and results. I started doing research and came across Laser Spinal Decompression. They claimed to have a 90% success rate. Well I was like BS there no way it can be that good. I went to a appointment to see what they had to say and left there feeling like it could not be true. I thought long and had and canceled my surgery and decided to give this treatment a try. Even tho it wasn't covered by Insurance. So I went to the treatment and had immediate results the pressure on my back got a little relief. Mind you at this point I felt a pain level of 9 all day every day and tailbone felt like it was loose with bolts loose. Not to mention my hips were killing and I could not sit down on any seat for more than 2 minutes. I kept going and was feeling better and better after the 10 or so visit I started to want to walk and get some exercise. After the 21 visits I felt amazing I had played tennis and basketball among other things. So hear I am two years later and I feel amazing I dropped 25 pounds and Have my life back I can work and go out and do pretty much anything I want. Now I still go to the treatment and will NEVER stop going. I have done 3 rounds of it and it has saved my life for sure. I use to say I could see how someone would want to end there life with this type m of thing. I didn't feel like a man or a provider because I simply was broken. BUT NOT ANY MORE!!! I'm STRONG AS EVER AND LOVING LIFE!! IF ANYONE HAS A BULGING DISC OR HERNIATED DISC AND WANT RELIEF GO SEE DR CLUGSTON HE ROCKS!! She goes there for the health/wellness portion, but recommended Dr. Chris for a chiropractor. I was skeptical at first. I always heard "once you go to a chiropractor, you have to keep going" and that scared me. People said it like it's a bad thing, but I quickly realized it's not bad at all. Despite my reservations, I decided to go anyways because I needed a solution to my aches & pains. Once visiting Dr. Chris, I realized that the headaches I had been getting we're caused by my neck being all "jammed up." Once I got adjusted - no more headaches! Yeah the first time was scary, but now it's the highlight of my week when I know I have an upcoming appt! I went today after nearly a year long lapse in appointments. I feel so much better! Immediately afterwards my arm started feeling tingling, and he explained it's the nerve flow. You don't realize how much gets compromised and how much your body compensates for things being out of whack. Do I have to see a chiropractor forever? No. Will I go forever? Definitely!
