Night (pre-Dr Stopa) and Day (after just a few sessions with Dr. Stopa). She went here after seeing many glowing reviews on Yelp. The staff was very personable and made her feel both comfortable and welcome. That alone was huge. Great staff! Dr Stopa and staff did a thorough exam and analysis and, perhaps, just as importantly, explained in detail the ROOT CAUSE of her issues and provided a plan to correct. Yes, one can always take an Advil or the like for pain, but why not get to the root of the problem? That's exactly what Dr Stopa did. My daughter can't say enough about the treatment here. To make matters worse, I was hosting a birthday party the coming weekend and had so much to do. I was trying everything to get back my mobility... stretches, cbd oil, back roller, mobility ball, ice, heat, pain cream, rest, but nothing was working and I was in tears from desperation. It can be a frightening feeling when your freedom of movement is slipping away before your eyes. I didn't feel comfortable driving the car and could barely bend down at all. I had to do something or cancel the party, so I found Dr. Burr's reviews here. I'm not really a chiropractor person, at least I wasn't, but I liked that they relied on teaching exercise treatment therapies as well as adjustments, because my other experiences with chiropractic seemed like they were a repeating RX for more and more visits. I wanted a solution and things I could learn to do for myself. I also liked that he had a relationship with Applied Fitness Solutions, (AFS) where I have a membership and who I trust. Mitch was so compassionate and nice on the phone, and is so nice to work with. God bless them, they got me in the same day and I was able to start implementing the exercises Dr. Burr showed me right away. He explained my issues so well and was very personable but so clearly a professional. He really understood where I was at and knew what to do. I also purchased a lumbar pillow that helped train my spine to return to where it needed to be. I appreciated that they didn't push the purchase of this hard, and showed me how I could also use a towel, but I have to say the pillow does the job so perfectly, is comfortable, and doesn't slip that I'm really glad I bought it. It definitely made a huge difference in my recovery. It turned car trips into therapy. Two days later my pain had so improved!! I had a follow-up visit this day and Dr. Burr expertly assessed my progress and told me what to do to take my recovery further. I never imagined I could feel this better this quickly. I did the exercises frequently and they strengthened me and corrected the problem. Dr. Burr did give a great upper back adjustment as well. I'm still amazed at how fast I improved. Dr. Burr said that early treatment was key to bouncing back so quickly. I'm not out of the woods yet, but I just need a few more visits... not perpetual visits! I'm functioning and mostly comfortable. I'm so happy to share this as my success story! The party is tomorrow and it's totally happening, and I'll be able to enjoy it fully! My husband was amazed as well when he saw how miserable I was (my family had to do so much for me!) and he is going to see Dr. Burr for some back pain he has been struggling with for a while. Like a fool I stopped going to our previous chiropractor after only a few treatments, so now we're practically starting all over again in correcting the curvature (or lack thereof) of my neck. My husband is seeing Dr Thea for different issues, mainly for his lower back and his shoulders. Though we see her for different reasons, treatment is similar at its core. What we love about this doctor is that she does not only look at your symptoms, she looks at your overall health, your habits, health history, etc. to get a full picture so that she can provide the best possible treatment. She will take all information and your x-rays and will create a treatment plan and information folder for you to take home, she is very thorough and truly cares about her patients' well being. Before treatment my husband gets to use the traction table, however I think that I am getting the better end of the deal.. Rolling table thing which massages my entire back for a few minutes.. where have you been all my life?! I am not sure what this is called, but I need one at home! I have never been adjusted by a more gentle chiropractor, and I love it. She doesn't try to overdo anything, if it doesn't 'go' she will either apply heat, massage a bit, or plan to get it next time. She'll teach you things which you can do at home to help/keep up with treatment at home such as stretches in-between visits. My pain levels have gone down since starting treatment which makes me extremely happy. Because insurances can be limiting and can be cost prohibitive, we just pay out of pocket on a monthly basis. We get unlimited visits per month at a very reasonable price, much less than copays for the same amount of visits (except now the visits aren't limited) - works for me!
