Blake did the install and I have to say I'm very much impressed and satisfied with the quality work done. The install was thorough and professional. Blake went above and beyond to ensure the mounts for the motor and rail were tied to a stud in the wall. Ive waited 3 days trying to get him to care about the fact im having an issue. Doesnt care. I called another company today and they are coming out tomorrow. They explained my options, provided suggestions, and provided photos of some of their previous installs to help me make an informed choice. I believe the gentleman's name is Brandon but not 100 percent he was so awesome. He is a busy guy because probably the best up her and the best price. It was a quick installation. I couldn't contact him when I first became right my house because the garage doors were crashed in and I couldn't stand to look at them. I ordered thick black garage doors with windows and I still love them until this day. U refer him to everyone. They do say he's hard to get a hold of and take a while to return a call but hey what can you expect when he offers great service my advice is to call again and leave a message. Excellent customer service! I had my initial contact with Brandon and he was extremely professional and polite! Originally I was only going to have a spring replaced, but I ended up having the whole door done! It was a fairly speedy process, chose our door and set up an appointment. The following week the tech showed up on time, introduced himself (Raymond) and pretty much got to work! Super nice guy and seems to have a lot of knowledge about the trade, I definitely enjoyed conversing as he worked. 2 hours gone and he was finished! I have to say the experience was beyond superb. I had attempted to use another company from Yelp that had high ratings, but I was very disappointed with their customer service. This company's customer service was excellent, very friendly, made me feel comfortable and I didn't feel pressured into getting something I didn't need. They explained everything they were going to do. Their turn around time was a few day, which was awesome because the door I ordered was custom. The price was lower than what I was expecting which was the cherry on top. The salesman was very relatable. They also installed the door quickly and it looks and runs great. The initial installation was great, but when a problem came up it was real headache. After contact was achieved it took over two months for him to correct the problem. That was with numerous attempts at calling his number only to be told that the mail box was full and that I couldn't leave a message. I am very pleased with the work that Brandon Spilsbury did for me on 6/20/16. Please read my story as to what led up to me contacting Brandon. When my garage door opener stopped working on 6/15/16, I decided to check for repair companies online. The company I decided to use (name withheld) had positive reviews so I contacted them. I explained to the supervisor who took my call that my garage door would not go up or down after pressing the button, even though the motor was running. He stated he could send a technician over between 12:00 - 2:00 pm on 6/16/16. When the technician arrived, he asked if he could use my ladder. He proceeded to climb up the ladder to inspect the garage door opener. I went into my house for a few minutes. Shortly afterwards, the technician knocked on the door and I went back into the garage. He informed me that the gear was broken and it would cost about the same to fix it, as it would to purchase a new one. I asked him how much would a new garage door opener cost, and he said it would be $615. He informed me that it would be a Chamberlain. He then stated that his labor would be $149 in addition to his service fee of $29. The total cost to replace my garage door opener was $793! He asked me if I could pay by check instead of credit card because he would have to charge me an extra $100 since credit card companies would charge 3% interest. (3% interest on $793 is $23.79. How does he justify charging an extra $100 for using a credit card, let alone $793 to replace my garage door opener?) I told him his price was too expensive and I would get a second opinion. He then asked me to wait while he contacted the office. After a few minutes, he got off the phone and told me they said he could give me 15% off for a new price of $674.05. I repeated myself and said that was still too much and I will get a second opinion. He then made his last and final offer and said he would do the repair work on the side, he would not tell his company, and would charge me a flat fee of $550. I repeated myself one more time and said, "I still plan on getting a second opinion!" I contacted his office to complain about what took place and they told me they would contact him. A few minutes later, the supervisor called back and asked how much of a discount did the technician give me? I stated it was 15%. He then said that they are actually giving 30% off at their website for this particular job. I informed him that I still plan on getting a second opinion, regardless of their "discount." In my opinion, this is blatant price gouging. I was very disgusted with the whole ordeal. The following day, I contacted Purofirst Fire & Water Restoration, a company that has helped me with past home repairs. They referred me to Spilsbury Garage Door, and I scheduled an appointment for Monday, June 20. The owner, Brandon, arrived with a second technician and upon inspection of my garage door opener; he informed me that the gear and sprocket needed to be replaced. He took out the damaged gear and sprocket and showed me what it looked like. I asked him how much would it cost to replace it and he stated it would be $150. (So I really didn't need to purchase a new garage door opener after all!) He proceeded to service the entire garage door system for me. Throughout the process, he took his time to explain everything he needed to do and did so in a professional manner. I am very pleased with the work that Brandon did for me.
