Every time I come here I have excellent wine and conversation with bartenders who are knowledgeable and kind!

If you like Blake's Cider, Spicer's Winery blows Blake's out of the water. From the home grown roots to the excellent service Spicer's has stayed the same in their authenticity since my childhood and grown in their craft over the years!

Wine tasting and order lunch.

Hard cider was not very good. I like the environment and the idea but it didn't taste good to me.

I've been coming to Spicer Farm and Orchard every year with my family and friends ; it's become a…read morelittle fall tradition for us. However, during our most recent visit, we noticed quite a few changes from previous years, and unfortunately, not all for the better. They no longer have the scenic hayride that used to include a free donut and a cup of apple cider with your ticket purchase. Now, it's $5 per person, and instead of a peaceful scenic ride, it stops at every station and they no longer give you a donut & cider with ticket purchase. When we asked about the change, we were told it was because they weren't making money off the old setup. I understand businesses need to adjust, but it really took away from the experience. That scenic ride with the cider and donut was always one of the highlights for us ; something we truly looked forward to every year. They did add more bouncy houses for the kids, which is nice, but the ones they had before were just as fun. The food was about the same, decent, but nothing special. It was noticeably more expensive this year. $5 for a single ear of corn felt excessive. On the positive side, the cinnamon donuts are still amazing, and the apple cider is as delicious as ever. I also enjoyed the wine tasting, which is always fun, though seating is still limited and could be improved. Overall, the visit just didn't have the same charm or warmth as before. We still had an okay time, but it didn't feel as memorable as past years. Sadly, I think this might be our last year visiting, we'll probably look for a new orchard next fall.

There are animals to pet, wide open views, and it's right on their property but designed in a way that still feels like a public space. I wanted to keep loving this place. I really did. But the energy has completely shifted. I've been here multiple times now, and every single experience with the owners has left me feeling tense and unwelcome. The final straw came after a couple of situations that made it clear this place is no longer what it used to be. One time, my son climbed onto a tractor that was left completely open. No signs. No fencing. And the keys were literally in the ignition. I was already walking over to get him down when the owner came out and screamed at me. No grace, no calm explanation, just full-volume yelling in front of everyone. I was mortified. It shook me up for the rest of the day. Another time, we were just a few minutes early and waiting by the entrance, not bothering anyone, just sitting in the car. Again, she came out yelling, like we had broken some rule by showing up early. And then, the husband. I watched him get belligerent with another guest. He was mocking him loudly and making a scene in front of other people. It was really uncomfortable to witness. No matter what the situation was, that is not how you treat paying customers. I don't know what happened here. Maybe as the place got more popular, the stress got to them. But somewhere along the way, they seem to have lost the heart for hospitality. I never write reviews like this, but I'm sharing it because this place has so much potential. It used to feel like a happy little secret. Now it just feels heavy. To the owners, I truly hope you hear this for what it is. You've built something beautiful. People want to come here and enjoy what you've created. But you cannot treat guests like this and expect them to keep coming back. I hope one day the warmth returns. I really do. But until that happens, I won't be back.

I get it, same longitude and wines should grow similar and all that jazz, but Michigan wines outside of the sweeter styles really never taste right to me. Well whatever they are doing here is nothing short of scientifically brilliant. Probably some of the best MItten Vino I have ever had and that assessement is from traveling all around the state and trying different areas. The Frontenac, Petite Pearl, Marquette were my favorites by far. But my five stars isn't for the wine, it's for the sheer joy this place brings me. Absolutely beautiful campus with sheep and goats and a big white furball of a dog who looks so adorable but is trained to kill any possible threat to his wards. The large barn event space and indoor seating is nothing short of gorgeous and of course sitting outside is just pure joy. I will add more pics as I come across them.

They have a wide knowledge of brewing, grapes, and go out of their way to make sure each customer feels taken care of. This is the place for top notch customer service. It is an adorable barn feel with an inside sitting area, an outdoor space, and a loft where you can listen to music or see some comedy. They have a very extensive variety of wines and a nice beer list that goes from light, to fruity, to IPA, to dark. I loved the ability to be able to have small portions of beer and wine so I could sample a lot without feeling sick from drinking too much. They offer they drinks in a two ounce size, then two larger glass sizes. The prices of the drinks are pretty good as well. They have a small menu of food. We tried the pizza and it is not bad for a tasting room, but not too over the top. The price on the pizza was not bad, especially with prices these days. They also have a mixed drink menu that was quite extensive. The prices on those drinks were fairly good as well. They told us their espresso martini was the best in the area. I would tend to agree, probably the best in the area, but for me, not the best overall. To be honest we have been doing an espresso martini tasting tour around the US and there is a lot of competition, but it is definitely something to try here. I would try a rum drink personally next time, since their tropical drinks sounded delicious. The beer game in Michigan is also pretty stiff competition. We do live in a state where we have one of the top cities for beer world wide. But since they do offer about eight flavors, there is something for everybody here. This place is a really fun time to hang with friends and family.

Definitely not a traditional caprese because there was not a speck of basil or balsamic glaze in sight. Also served with cucumbers. The chicken was lacking in flavor and a small portion. Also, the menu completely had caprese spelled incorrectly. I feel if you call yourself a bistro you should at least be aware of the correct spelling of food you serve. The crab Mac n cheese was good, however the kitchen completely forgot to add the ritz Parmesan crust that the menu listed. I was able to get a side of it and mix it in at least. The menu also listed a side of coleslaw which I never received. Now for the bad. We had a reservation and the service was soooo slow. I understand being short staffed, etc but it was frustrating. Gratuity was added to our bill since we had a larger group, however the server took the itemized receipts upon returning our cards. This felt sketchy because you were prompted to tip on your card with the receipt you needed to sign and leave with the waitress. If you hadn't read your initial bill she left you wouldn't have any idea that a tip was already added. Luckily I noticed so I was able to inform my fellow guests. Also, there is a 3% credit card fee added to your bill if you pay with a card. Seems a little outdated and like a money grab. Overall, I'd probably not go out of my way to come back. Felt like a lot of hype for little return which was disappointing. This seemed like my kind of spot. Nonetheless it's an hour away from my home as it is.
