Took my friend to Indian food for his very 1ST TIME and he had a great experience! We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Vindaloo, cheesy garlic naan (best combo of ingredients on the face of the earth ) and for dessert, the classic mango lassi. The food was delicious and I must say that was the BEST Vindaloo I've ever had. He also was extremely surprised about how good the lassi was so that was a fun bonus. The gentleman who took care of us was very funny, hospitable and made sure we didn't over do it on the spice especially for my friends first go around which really made the difference. As far as the atmosphere goes, it wasn't littered with decorations and was very basic but everyone in there was lovely, having a good time and the spirits were high all around. I've been obsessed with this butter chicken at sams club and this local spot seems to be getting some high reviews so I decided to try. Place is clean and hardly anybody is ever there. Guess they mostly do takeout. We pass it constantly when going to shogun a few stores down. Service was ok, waiter was nice. First off, they give you 4oz bottles of sams club water LOL. Wtf. Ok I'll have 10 waters please. It was 15.95 and you get about 8 smaller pieces of chicken!!! Legit insane. I said something to the waiter and his response was "your really paying for the sauce/spices not chicken". Ok I get spices are expensive but spices dont fill you up. He also said the cook believes his butter chicken is the best in the country. The sams club butter chicken destroys this sadly. The cheesy garlic naan bread was good. As authentic as it comes! Nothing fancy here. Just quality authentic Indian fair. Our only disappointment was that our order was mixed up with another table. Their response was less than urgent as they whisked away the wrong dish (that we had already tasted)...and left us waiting for the replacement. The food is great... but probably not a great value. We tried take out from this place on a whim on our way back from Jersey and so glad we did! I can honestly say they served the best garlic cheese naan I've ever had from any Indian restaurant! I believe this is a family fun business and when we went to pick up the boys at the counter were very warm and friendly. They even offered us green chilies after I told them my husband loves spicy flavors. We tried a dish that was unique to us called Paneer Lacha which was crumbled and chopped paneer instead of the traditional cubes. This dish HIT. Hubs chicken soup was not the usual pint .I poured it out and measured it was less than a cup ( 6.7 oz) and was $6.95 went up a $1 that's a buck more and a cup 8 oz & 1/3 less. The Aloo tiki Chat was terrible & a really small portion( came out to about 6 table spoons of product) that went up from $6.95 to $8.95..It was Soggy,Tasted like left overs tossed together not the usual Bright & fresh taste we're used too! My Korma that's usually Creamy & you can taste the nutty buttery flavor of the Cashew & fresh herbs had none of those qualities.Very Disappointing. Hubs Chili Chicken ( Wet) med spicy was also a big No,Tons of spicy gravy,Not a lot of chicken and the spices it looked like they repurposed like the Cardamon pods from another dish beaten flat that the woody pod broke apart little pieces of splinters through the gravy that I had to Sive it out B4 I let him eat it...I never had to do that before! Even the Roti was Smaller by about 2.5 inches and Yes the price went up a $1 on that too. I understand the rise in prices but you keep the Quality the Same but this broke my heart bc I only patronize my local businesses to keep them going but I can't see going back to A Place that I would drop about $200 a month on their take out. We did a fusion Mexican-Indian luncheon menu (paneer quesadillas, enchiladas, DIY taco station, etc) and it was a huge hit with our guests. My family and I have eaten here a few times and really have never been disappointed. It is not awesome 5-Star plus but a decent 3 1/2 stars that I'm rounding up this time. The naan is excellent and they have several variations that you can choose from. Nice and crispy which makes also for a tasty spoon to scoop your main course gravies onto. The pyramid vegetable samosas have never been fried too long and greasy. Also a just-right crispness and very flavorful insides make you want a dozen of them. Today, I got the chicken vegetable soup, kabob of chicken and one of lamb, and we shared curry chicken, curry lamb, and a chicken tikka masala. You can choose your level of spice as mild, medium, or hot. I'd go for hot, but the kids want mild and I want them to like it, so that's what we went with. The kabobs were not chunks of meat on a skewer but some kind of meat mixture into a tube-like shape and served sizzling on a hot plate without the skewers. I liked the lamb, not as much the chicken. Kids loved their curry dishes even though they do not come with a whole lot of chunks of meat within the smaller-sized bowls of food. Chicken tikka masala was really tasty and flavorful but again not much chicken in the bowl. However, when the wife came a little later, it turned out that with the amount of food we ordered, it was just right for the four of us. We like Spice Rack and will return. $69 for four not including tip. No drinks ordered. read more

Ok! Another disappointment. Ordered butter chicken and dal with mango lassi. There was no taste of butter Chicken. All I was tasting were spices. Same with the dal tadka too. Lassi was flavored too much that after 3 sips, I could not drink it anymore. I think North East and Bensalem not good place to eat. I will keep digging to find something reasonable to eat. read more

Came here for lunch. Was seated right away. Decor is ok inside. No lunch specials just regular day menu. I ended up ordering lamb Tikka masala. Dishes comes with a small plate of rice and naan has to be ordered separately. I got the the chilli naan thinking it would be spicy(it was not and actually was very oily). Lamb Tikka tasted great, meat was tender and portion was decent. Prior to ordering I asked if there are special spicy dishes or they can make anything spicy. I was told any meal can have it's spice level adjusted so I asked for spiciest they had. It came out mild at best...and thats with more expensive spicier chilli naan. Sort of disappointing for an Indian restaurant especially one that has word spice in its name. So food isn't bad just don't expect any real spicy food or any great pricing specials. read more

I was randomly craving Indian food after a long day of not eating a single thing! I was so hungry and I didn't want to be disappointed and I wasn't! I ordered two shrimp dishes and I liked the Shrimp Tika Masala best. Shrimp were slightly over cooked but it was so flavorful I didn't care. I love spice so I ordered it spicy. I love that they can adjust the spice level here. I also ordered garlic naan and vegetable pakora. Yum!!! First, the small , authentic restaurant is a favourite among Indians living in the area. Second, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Very cozy. Third, the American waiter, the only waiter is fantastic. He is calm and gives a true opinion of you are not sure what to get. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Spent $30 on garlic naan, vegetable pakora and chicken tikka masala. Pretty standard order and the price delivered is pretty on par with other local places. I open the bag and the quantity was sooooo small. About half of what literally any other spot would offers. The vegetable pakora was soggy but I'm assuming that's because of the packaging. The tikka masala had good flavor but was cold. If you're looking for somewhere local I'd suggest shagun palace down the road. Always fresh and literally double the food for what this place charges. Oh my gosh! This place is delicious! In an unassuming shopping complex with a simple sign lies Spice Rack. Upon entering it looked plain as well but don't let the this fool you. As soon as the food came rolling out, I knew we found a hidden gem. Whenever I see chicken 65 on a menu, I always get it. Chicken 65 was some of the best I've had. It is basically fried chicken with an overload of spices. Spice Rack has some of the most tender chicken and of course the breaded seasoning is awesome. Aside from that I also got a chick pea appetizer. I forget what it was called but it is in the photos. It felt so refreshing, slightly sweet and had a great texture with the crispy looking noodle things on top. Another one of my go tos is essentially Aloo Gobi which is Potato and cauliflower. I believe there is some frying involved(hehe) but who cares. Anyway I can take my vegetables, I'll take it. read more

This has been our fav spot for lamb kebabs nd Indian street food, but recently their quality has dropped. The service has been pretty bad but the food used to make up for it, on my last visit they took 1.5 hrs to make 3 dishes and all I got was tasteless nd dry fish and meat. We ordered Fish Amritsari which was dry, although it had some flavor but almost no salt, then we had malai chicken tikka which was bland and tasted like rubber and the last and best dish we ordered was lamb chops. This was well cooked, so well that you cannot tell the meat apart from the gravy, but the taste was still good. They really need to up their restraunt game if they want to stay in business. read more

We had Bhel for appetizer, Mutter Paneer with garlic naan followed by Gajar Ka Halwa . The Bhelpuri was the most delicious chaat I ever had in USA, full of flavours, sweet and sour with various spices. Even the Mutter Paneer was savory. But I didn't liked the Gajar ka halwa that much.
