They don't have all the same brands and household items you may find at one of the bigger mall based department stores, but they make up for it with friendly employees and a really good selection all at some really good prices. Layout is really crowded, they have so much stuff crammed in here you'll be turning side ways to navigate some of the aisles. Really good shoe selection with some brands you won't find at other department stores (good brands - as well as the other well known brands). Sign up for email alerts and you'll get 20% off one item coupons and things like that. Really good deal when you can stack that with the already good prices they have. Great location and great service. Highly recommend if you've never been to one of their locations.

The Rainbow City location is so jam packed it can actually be hard to walk though and look at their stuff. If you're into team gear (Bama and what ever that other team is) they have a really expansive dedicated space for shirts, coats, hoodies, and misc gear. Just like other department stores they have a good selection of men's, women's and children clothing as well as some household items. Shoe department looks like they are still adding stuff in and will probably grow over the next couple months. Several spots to check out make it nice and easy .... plus help to keep lines down. Also, as of January 2021 you aren't able to enter on the Books A Million side, you have to park on the Belk/Food Court side and enter through those doors. Recommended for clothing shopping.

They have men's and women's and children's sections, but they also try to put all the active wear together as well as the dress clothes, etc. They also carry the same type of household items you'd expect to find at one of these stores. I felt like they had similar brand name items as the other stores, but just not the same selection. I would guess they may have been getting a little picked over since it was close to the holidays, so they probably deserve another shot. I'd come back and check them out if I was in the area again.

My Husband and I had already heard bad reviews (Horror stories) From other people. We didn't say anything.We were told by Bobby Kintz to pick up the tuxedos on Thursday 2 days before the wedding. We get there and he has nothing ready. He then tells us to come back on Friday the day of the Rehearsal because one of the ring bearers shoes are not in and they should come in but if not we could go buy him a pair. And they wouldn't look like the rest of the shiny shoes the men were wearing in the wedding , he tells us they don't make them for little boys. So we get there on Friday and take the tuxedos to guntersville where the boys were and the tuxedos don't fit . They looked like men's suits cut down and the jackets came to there knees. They looked like they were going to a circus. The day of the wedding I called two of my special friends Ted and Rita at Tuxedo Inn . They told me don't worry just bring the boys to me.They saved my daughters wedding by dressing the boys in under an hour . They looked so handsome and they had shiny shoes. I wish I had gotten the name of the lady working in the Men's department tonight because she was very patient and helpful as I tried to make my decision about my purchases, trying coupons, price checking, etc. And this is basically what makes or breaks a major department store review in my opinion. You probably already know what to expect as far as prices and brands they carry ... but how was the customer service? I can honestly say that most of the time it has been very good. In cosmetics, shoes, different women's departments, back when I shopped for young kids, home, etc.,I have had good experiences in each place. That being said, I did take off a star because: while you can find some excellent clearance deals at times, i have noticed the last few times I shopped when I have had a coupon (sign up for texts and you'll get one just about every week!), but it never works because of the brand, it's a doorbuster, or some other exclusion in that itty bitty fine print. It's a super long list, so pay attention! Even when it says "regular or sales price," it only means certain sales and I can't figure out how to keep it straight. Especially when there is nothing to indicate "doorbuster" on the top of the rack where the sale price is displayed. If I was a man shopping for my manly self, I would probably give 3 stars. They do have some good brands but just a few, and the selections of everything are all pretty similar. Overall though, for my actual womanly self, if i needed an outfit or shoes I could 80-90% find what I needed at Belk at a decent price. Their women's departments have everything from athletic to dressy occasions. Shoes, purses, jewelry - the same. And if price is no concern, then it would be closer to 100%! But considering that I have poured over Belk Sunday ads in the paper since I can remember, my style was basically shaped by Belk - so that may have a lot to do with it!

The prices are on the high side with men's shirts routinely priced at $7-$8 each. They don't have any special days or sales, just the "special" changes occasionally depending on the color of the price tag, which seems mainly to apply to clothing, bedding, linens, etc. Overall, if you look closely there are good buys to be had.

Specializing in Men's and Women's clothing they change the stock on hand to match the season. Currently it's end of January and they are having clearance sales on all of the winter stuff (even though it's like 40 degrees outside) and getting out shorts and t-shirts. Good selection of product available here, even though they don't have a lot of space. Staff didn't go out of their way to offer support, but when we walked by the registers/check out they were courteous and said hi. If I'm already in the mall I would come by here again. Probably wouldn't make a special trip to the mall just to come here though.
