Spencer is knowledgeable, patient, and a great coach. I was in bad shape after years of working an office job and being inactive. After a single 10-pack training package, my cardio and overall fitness are at a level I never thought I could reach. If you've ever thought about trying boxing, walk through that door. You will not regret it. read more

I recently started boxing at Spencer Steele Boxing, and I'm so glad I did! I'd never boxed before and was a little intimidated, but Spencer immediately made me feel comfortable. I thought I'd be hesitant about one-on-one training, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made. The gym is spacious, full of character, and has great energy. Spencer is an incredibly patient and knowledgeable coach--he teaches at your pace, really focuses on form and technique, and makes sure you feel confident every step of the way. The music is always on point--it keeps you pumped up and makes each session fly by because it's genuinely so fun. After my first class, I immediately got a package because I knew I wanted this to be part of my weekly routine. After finishing all 10 sessions, I'm already ready to sign up for another package. Every session goes by so fast, and Spencer is just an awesome coach--motivating, detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in making sure you're getting what you want or need out of the session. Whether you're an experienced boxer or trying it for the first time and looking for a great workout to get in shape, build confidence, or learn real boxing technique, this is hands down the best place to go. read more

After many months of researching for boxing lessons, I came across Spencer's, and joining was the best decision! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, energetic, and motivating. Spencer is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging - I never took boxing, so I'm very appreciative of his patience. The workout was intense in the best way possible--equal parts fun and challenging. I learned proper technique, footwork, and combos. He really took the time to explain the process in a simplified manner and was super encouraging. I left feeling empowered, sweaty, and was excited to come back after each session. I've done some boxing classes in large groups in the past, but never really got in to the sport as much as I wanted. Life stuff, you know. But Spencer at Steeleboxer really helped me to realize that the best way to learn is with 1-on-1 sessions, of which he is very talented at. From my first day training with him, he had big aspirations for me, and prepped me to start sparring with his more experienced trainees in short time. I appreciated that level of confidence in me. Not only is Spencer well-versed in martial arts, he's just fun to shoot the sh*t with too. I can tell when he starts to explain footwork and technique that he's genuinely passionate about fight sports. And that's what makes him a gem of an instructor. Lastly, the interior of Steeleboxer itself is clean, exciting to be inside with videos of classic boxing matches playing on screen (and some oldschool videos of his Dad, the OG Steeleboxer, training too!), and stocked with all kinds of training equipment to ensure you get in there, kick some ass, and come out feeling a bit more epic than you might've been before you came in an hour ago. If you're looking to learn boxing for real, definitely check this spot out. read more

I have always wanted to take some type of boxing class but was skeptical about having the right coach. Spencer gives you very good insight into the boxing realm. He makes the training about you and gives you real world boxing advice and tactics to use. Along with professionalism, Spencers training classes are fun and encouraging. As a beginner, the training is at your own pace and feedback is taken into consideration. I really recommend Spencer as a coach for all beginners trying to learn the art of boxing as well as any current boxers wanting to advance their skillset. read more

I've had a lifelong interest in learning combats sport, specifically boxing, yet taking that initial step into a gym had always seemed a bit daunting. But, one day I said "f$&@ it" and from the very first meeting, Spencer had a welcoming and reassuring energy that defied the intimidating aura often associated with boxing gyms. His expertise and undeniable skill were immediately apparent, assuring me that I was in capable hands on my journey to becoming a boxer. Scheduling has consistently been a breeze, offering the flexibility needed to accommodate my busy and often unpredictable life. Spencer's training methodology fosters efficient growth, enabling me to achieve the best physical (and perhaps mental) condition I've experienced in over 15 years. Been going to Spencer for a year and a half now and I don't plan on leaving or going to another place - the space itself is very big and is exactly what you'd want and expect out of a boxing gym. He's very patient and really trains you as if you were aiming to be a real boxer as opposed to group boxing gyms that serve more as a workout. read more

I've been training at this gym for about 4 months so far. I take 2 lessons a week and I notice huge improvement every week. I had no prior experience and didn't know what to expect, but I'm stoked with how quick I've been able to progress. I recommend Spencer to anyone beginner or advanced to improve. A lot of coaches will focus on mitt work and routines that look cool on Instagram. Spencer will make you a better fighter that translates to real strategies, techniques, and skills to excel. I will be continuing my training here as long as I can. read more

Spencer Steele is the real deal. He is an awesome coach who brings vibrant energy to every session. While I always leave dripping in sweat and feeling like I have progressed, I also have a ton of fun doing it. The personalized approach you get from Spencer in a session is far superior to any group class setting and you will get much better, much sooner, as a result. If/ when your session overlaps with another person you will get the chance to move around with another student at a pace you're comfortable with- Whether that is sparring or more controlled sparring-like games/ drills. If you're ever curious if Spencer has real chops himself, ask him to move around with you a bit. You'll feel silly for having asked shortly thereafter ;). I can't state strongly enough that wherever you're at in your boxing journey, Spencer is worth your money and time. read more

i started working with spencer at the beginning of the year and have had 11 great workouts with him. i've never taken boxing lessons before so i'm pretty bad...i'm still pretty bad but not cuz of spencer, more so because boxing is really hard and requires repetition. i'm gonna keep working with him because he's great, i'm learning, i'm having fun and it's a good workout. that being said i don't know how spencer is compared to other boxing instructors but i don't plan on looking for a new one so take it as you will ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ read more

I've been working with Spencer now for over 6 months, usually going twice per week and I can tell you it's well worth it. If you're considering private training, you owe it to yourself to check this out. Prior to working with Spencer, I'd never taken a boxing class. I've learned so much and still have a lot to learn but I'm also getting in shape and because it's fun, the hour flies by. But trust me, you will know that you got a workout and even better, Spencer's approach to training is designed to minimize any risk of injury. If you have to work for a living (like most of us), you don't need to get injured because of a workout. Spencer is also a positive attitude who takes his time to teach you the right way to do things. Check out a class. If you're serious about getting shape and are looking for something fun, this is for you. read more
