I put in an application for this little brown chihuahua that was found In rural southern Tennessee and eventually made his way to partners for pets. They approved my application in 30 minutes and I left immediately to go meet him. He still had a heart worm test that hadn't been done so he couldn't be adopted yet. They let me foster him until he passed his heart worm test and before we even brought him back for the heart worm test we knew that Jackson had found his forever home. My Lily was 13. My little chihuahua Betsy that I had before Lily was 14 when I lost her. Jackson is only 1 1/2 so I hope to have him for many years to come. They are so special at partners for pets. It's heartwarming to see such selfless people in the world. I recommend them to anyone needing or wanting to adopt a fur baby. He's not a pure bred chihuahua but he's mine and that's all that matters. If u don't have time I. Your life to take In a fur baby then consider volunteering occasionally or donating to them. I called twice and spoke to do different people-one being a rather nasty person (Bella Hargraves)who told me I had no idea what I was talking about, I never claimed Harry and I was basically out of luck because anyone could claim him at anytime. These people are not only rude, but incompetent. Unfortunately I will not pursue adopting Harry. Now I have to run around returning abed, toys, food, etc that I purchased.

Once I rescued/adopted a new fur-baby, her new vet recommended a couple of different brands of food. She did not recommend the one that the rescue group had been feeding her. Since her new vet is in Edwardsville and I had good luck here with Sprites food, I came back. I checked out all three of the brands that the new vet recommended and went with, Royal Canin. I liked the smaller bag, since Sophia is a small dog. That way the food will stay fresh and I can just buy more frequently. Plus, the price point is very affordable. The store is well organized and for a store that allows pets, it always smells clean.

She asked me to attend a "brushing class" which i did for free w her. I always felt confrontational w her like she didn't approve of me keeping my dog's hair long. Well it became apparent when she Hung up on me! I feel this was extremely unprofessional. I specifically asked her not to shave my dog and she did a 1 inch cut which to us is essentially shaved. What's so bad is i feel she intentionally did this because she did not want to keep brushing my dogs long hair she said it was torturing her(the dog) and we weren't managing the hair well. I brush my dog's long hair w a wire brush and metal comb and then cut whatever knots out she has with scissors which i told her to do but her response was that will look choppy! So after expressing my displeasure of her decision to cut very short my long haired pup she hung up on me! Instead of cutting her hair so short, she should have said i am not comfortable with brushing and grooming her anymore and you should find a new cut. Instead she decided on her own to do this! And when my hubby picked our pup up that day, Jessica immediately said "she isn't shaved " which was apparently on my husband's shocked face, yes she was! Im not asking for my Money back but i do feel the owner of this "woman ran business" all woman only work there, should apologize for the unprofessional manner in which her employee conducted herself. I requested a donation receipt but were told that they didn't have any. I sent an email about getting a donation receipt. and their response, from a Board Member: "We are a 501C, a non profit organization. We take donations in the donation barrels set up throughout the area. We do not give receipts, especially since most donations are anonymous." So, duh, most donations would be anonymous since there is nothing in place to identify a donor... seems like a lazy thing that could easily be rectified. But, nonetheless, donate your pet stuff here if you can.

When I first decided to bring my cats to Banfield, I was given a quote by an employee for $120 for…read moreboth newborn kittens. When we arrived I was informed that the person I spoke to was incorrect. I would have to pay $120 per cat since they were newborn and this was their first visit. I agreed to that and left. When I came back to get the kittens I was hit with a bill for over $500 dollars for my kittens. That's not counting the shots etc. I felt like I was forced to purchase wellness plans to get my cats back. The wellness plans ended up being a little over $200. Then they charged for medicines which was over $100. My second issue is when I brought my kitten Octavia in to be sprayed they injured the poor thing. They used so much anesthesia that after several months she is still blind from the anesthesia. Their own staff admits this. Additionally, they rushed the procedure and she now struggles to walk with her hind legs. I made a complaint and they had a vet contact me and I tried to return the call but we kept missing each other. Then the staff kept saying she was out of town and nothing is resolved. My final issue is they claim you cannot stop a direct withdrawal and my bank said that was incorrect and that you can revoke permission.

I even warned the "doctor" that UTI medicine doesn't help kidney stones. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and kept using their service for our dog. We went in for a nail trimming for our dog today. The dog panicked and required muzzle and some wrestling. The dog proceeded to foam out of the mouth and choking up blood. She may have bit her tongue, but they didn't even examine it. They sent me home with the dog puking up blood on me, dry heaving, hyperventilating, and choking. I was a little concerned so I called to address my concerns by calling to bring the dog back. Emma was furious because they were near closing. So I said "I guess I'll take my dog home to puke all over herself". She responded with "I don't have to take that crap from anyone".
