I also got one of them vaccinated during their clinic and it was a very reasonable cost. Is it customary for a sick, ungroomed dog to be put up for adoption? I only ask because that's what happened to us. Last Thursday, my family adopted a dog named Finn. Finn was unwashed, had matted hair, a wound on his head, smelled, and apparently was sick. Finn had a cough and serious nasal congestion, so much so that there would be puddles of mucus left over from where he was laying. After a visit from our vet and a $750 bill, Finn was diagnosed with pneumonia. Seems they plucked Finn from off the streets, snip-snipped him, and then put him for adoption, knowing he was sick. Am I angry? YES!!! This poor dog was suffering and they (seems like) knowingly sold him. They couldn't even bother to give him a bath! We paid the $255 adoption fee and the vet bill because Finn is awesome and deserves to be treated, but we will never adopt another pet from Partners for Pets again. read more

If they have to many cats they turn you away with no alternative . No suggestions no help.

They kill animals . Claim to be a no kill yet the vet staff could care less if a puppy is dying on the weekend. People who work there constantly neglect the animals and the upper management doesn't care at all. When they have long term stays they promote them for a week and give them a deadline or OR ELSE and it really means they will die if they don't get their home in time. read more

I can't say enough good things about this shelter! We have gotten two dogs from them and couldn't be happier with how helpful everyone was during the process. We went back today for a wellness clinic to her shots for our dogs and we're so pleased with everything! It was so organized and they took great care in keeping everyone safe and separated. (One of my dogs isn't the friendliest with other dogs to say the least). Partners for pets is a wonderful rescue and a great addition to our community. Their work doesn't go unnoticed and they are doing wonderful things! read more

Awful place!! I took my cat here to get vaccinated and was overcharged. They literally sent me a price guide and then charged more than the prices listed. Also they did not even let me go back with my cat so I don't know if they even gave him his shots or not. Also I posted what was originally a 3 star review on google and they started arguing with me over text on my phone. I changed it to a 1 star after that. I literally sent them a screenshot of the price guide they sent me and my receipt only to have them claim prices went up a day after they sent the price guide. I also sent them a screen shot where I had asked about the exact price a few days before the appointment and they didn't reply to my question. Yet they lied and claim I was informed. I wasn't .Do not go to this place and don't waste your money. Extremely unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with considering they literally started arguing with me by text and blamed me for everything I had posted on the google review. Never once did they offer to make anything right even after I sent proof they were in the wrong . They just changed their story. read more

Great, great place to adopt a cat ! We adopted Julia, a 2 year old TNR cat from Partners 4 Pets in St. Jacob on Feb 15, 2024 and Julia has already become the most lovable cat in the world!!! Every minute of the day she shows how thankful she is to have a home where she is loved, and we feel thankful to have been blessed with a cat like her that we love sooo much. The staff at P4P was super helpful and very friendly, and they run the place very well. When Julia went to my vet today for her initial exam, all the staff was coming to check her out, because she doesn't like being around strangers but she cuddles with me just like i'm her real dad. read more

let's talk about your Facebook post misrepresenting details. you made a post about a hoarding case in my town of Roodhouse, Illinois. that simply was not true. You said that to garner likes and donations for your organization. What you do is a good cause. But don't lie to get the donations. If you had said that this was to help an underfunded, under supported animal control facility who has exactly zero funding from the city, and had a major influx of dumped dogs, i bet you would still get the help needed. You saw the conditions of the animal control facility that the new animal control officer, who mind you has only been on the job 2 months, walked into. They get paid $600 a month for a full time job and have been begging everyone from the city council to their boss, the chief of police to help. It took them reaching out to the department of ag and them coming out to See for themselves how bad it was. They were paying out of pocket for equipment and vet care. Only thing the city provided was the poorly set up shelter, food, water and power. Heck, even the animal control truck they were supposed to give the officer has been sitting broken down for months. Which I know for a fact you saw it at the city hall. And you were told all of this by the animal control officer. But guess what, you ignored them. I know you did. but you're blatent lie has now made the officer, whom I consider a close friend not want to help animals or even be an ACO anymore. pretty bad that an organization determined to help animals, has no issue "attacking" and claiming falsities about someone who is trying to do what they can to help animals in their town and has the support of all the citizens but no support where it matters. Funding from the city. Not to mention, you posted pictures of dogs who weren't even out at this facility. I know that because i go by the facility quite often to dump wood at the yard waste pile. So I've seen almost all the dogs out there. And some of the ones you posted were not from there. read more

I put my application in and was approved to take home the cat I was looking forward to meeting all week. I was told she was going to be held for me so nobody else could take her. Just because I showed interest in seeing a few other cats they decided NOT to hold the one cat I was set on getting. I got to Petsmart, talked to the foster family who had the cat & was holding the cat that was suppose to be mine. The woman walked away and when she came back, told me they had already given MY cat away to another woman. The cat was pulled from my arms and quickly taken away from me. When I told Erica this, she was surprised I had even met the cat that was suppose to be held for ME. She was just going to go behind my back and give away my cat without even telling me. When I told her I was upset she told me that I had asked to see to many cats so they decided not to hold the one I really wanted for me. Erica said "guess that was my fault" and was not very apologetic at all. Needless to say I left petsmart very upset & crying. Trying to be consoled by all the other volunteers, EXCEPT Erica who gave my cat away. She didn't even take a second look at me while I was crying, being hugged by another volunteer. I cant believe a shelter with such good reviews would do this to me. It was very heartless to tell me they would make sure the cat was there for me & then turn around and promise her to another lady. I was told that there was no interest in that cat for an entire year! But as soon as I wanted her, she was given away. Very very disappointed in what happened. I pray this never happens to another person who tries to adopt through them. read more

This shelters rescues all ages, condition, breeds, etc. I got my little Mandy from these wonderful folks. She is a senior black mini poodle. Soooo sweet. My dog and two cats love her too. She is so much fun and has a hilarious sense of humor. She never complains. When my dog picked her out at an adoption event, Mandy had not one hair on her and looked like a pig. She was depressed, loosing weight, and blind, but P4P saved her anyway and I am so glad. She keeps the whole house happy and busy.
