Visited their store during a Girl's weekend and purchase an oz or two of Potpourri and it is the best ever. I can smell it every time I walk by the bowl. Satisfied Customer! read more

Such a cool store with so many things to look at, smell and touch! Plus they have jars and jars full of miscellaneous herbs that I imagine aren't the easiest to find in typical stores. The service was great at the register and there is free candy and juice for customers. It's worth a peek inside for sure! read more

Spellbound Herbs - Cutest gift wrapping ever. - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Cambria, California

This is one of my favorite local shops. A great place to try the best scented soaps and lotions. I wish they were able to update their merchandise more often and cycle more variety though. Their potpourri is one of the best I've ever bought, so I've been buying it for a decade since they're last owner, Heart's Ease. The backyard garden is a must see, it's truly enchanting for young kids. It has a fairy garden and an Alice in Wonderland theme area. My daughter still wants to go walk through every time we visit. I wish they'd keep it up more but I believe it's due to the Cambria drought which has really been a bummer for the entire town. It used to be a lovely place to see so many wild plants and flowers. I love this store, it's always going to be a favorite Cambria place in my heart. read more

I am not a fan of lacy, frilly stuff. This store screams all things lacy and girly. There are trinkets hanging in every little corner. The place is jam packed full to the gills. I found myself sucking my gut in just to walk through th potpourri section. The smell of lavender has the same exact effect that Cinnabon in the mall does to me. Makes me want to do inappropriate things to my credit cards. I am a sucker for a cinnamon-butter flavored carb and the inducing relaxant of lavender. They sell a lotion that is home made and ONLY available through this store and on their website. I bought everything they had. The lady thought I was a lunatic. I made it a point to mention if this 'lotion artist' woke up tomorrow and decided she hated lavender and no longer wanted to make lotion and joined a cult... then at least I have the last of the store's inventory. Men never stay in this store for more than 3 minutes. Unless they're gay. Which is fine. Not that there is anything wrong with being gay... it's actually a plus sometimes. You double your wardrobe if you're the same size. It's late. I need to shut up and go to bed. read more

Such a quaint and peaceful place with all the nice smells of the flowers, herbs, soaps, and candles. There is a section of the store where you can make your own sachet (sp?) to keep in your car or drawers at home, and there is a great assortment that you can choose one, and I think it runs about $3/ oz. read more

A charming little house surrounded by flowers. Inside, they sell wonderfully fragrant potpourris, candles, lotions, and best of all: catnip. Any time I'm in Cambria, kitty will get 'Cambria magic catnip' when I return. The garden outside Spellbound Herbs is inhabited by fairies, whimsy and some potted plants waiting to go home with you. You can also buy seeds and grow your own, fairy-inhabited garden at home. You must go. read more

We love this little shop on Burton Drive at the east side of Main Street in Cambria. It used to be Heart's Ease... name changed recently but the store, the products they sell and the garden are still the same! Love coming in here... it smells so good and the garden is just so relaxing and fascinating! I wish my garden looked like it! When the garden is in full bloom, its beautiful and you are sure to find butterflies and birds around! They sell incense, lotions, potpourri, candles and lots of garden decor and stuff!!! Our Cambria trip is never complete without a visit to this shop!!! read more

I come here whenever I am in Cambria. In fact, this last visit to Cambria was specifically for this shop. Their herbs are fresh, and the store isnt horribly over priced in their essential oils collection. They also have an amazing fresh herb garden outside and wonderful trinkets and other supplies. My two stevia plants died and I was elated to find fresh, affordable stevia here that I can use in my teas. Also, my cats LOVE their catnip bags! read more

Spellbound herbs has me spellbound. I like to stop in and look at all the tschotskes and visit the fairies out in the garden. Unfortunately, while it's fun to look at all their stuff, I don't think I've ever spent a dime in the store...maybe a bit overwhelming? Still, it's a fun stop to explore each time I'm in Cambria. read more

Heart's Ease first caught my eye with its "Nobody Gets In To See The Wizard Not Nobody Not No How" sign hanging on the side of the shop. Once inside, I found it to be a magical place, filled with herbs & spices (even myrrh), potpourri selections, little bird figurines, sachets, pillows filled with balsam wood, catnip, lotions, and more. When I bought a couple of items, the cashier wrapped them up in a brown bag, placed some tissue inside, and tied it with a leaf and a ribbon. Just lovely! I'll definitely make a point of visiting the shop again on future visits. read more

Hidden gem!!!! The hand made items here are unmatched. great energy and vibes. Sarah helped Bre and I as well as my parents. She was a genuinely kind person! She answered all of our questions and took the time to talk with us about the shop and the items inside. The garden is so beautiful I didn't want to leave. They have so many hand made local items, soaps, candles, herbs, ceramics succulents, jewelry etc. read more

I always try to stop by this shop when I visit Cambria. This is truly a hidden, magical gem! The scent of dried herbs wafts around you as you browse through the store. They have an eclectic collection of herbal products, books, cards, and whimsical gifts. The hidden gem is really the fairy garden behind the store, full of herbs, fairy houses, benches for little people, and unexpected characters at each turn. Friendly service too! read more

Do not miss this place if you are traveling to Cambria. Heart's Ease is a beautiful garden with charming gift shop attached. You can help yourself to the giant potpourri jars and mix your own selection. The garden is a total delight. Every nook and cranny in the shop and garden are filled with discoveries. The employees are nice and friendly, and they wrap your purchase, however small, with a bit of fresh greenery and/or flowers. Yes, there are usually men and boys waiting out in front, having quickly gotten tired of the place, but even there, the benches and view of a Cambria side street are charming. read more

The highlight to this shop for me is the little garden they have outside. It's a nice little retreat from the rest of the already quiet town. It also has some incredibly character to it with each little corner themed after different things from Fairyland to The Shire. read more

Love this charming place. On a recent visit however the garden had really gone to hell. It went from charmingly overgrown to messy, dead leaves and branches everywhere overgrown. Needs a good clean out because it is so lovely. read more

I had been planning to come into this shop before visiting Cambria on vacation. It was everything I expected and more. The shop and garden are so charming! I spent over a half hour photographing flowers and butterflies in the garden. To make the experience even more enjoyable, the girl on staff had a mix of the Cocteau Twins and Siouxsie & the Banshees playing; two of my favorite bands! I can't wait to come back to Spellbound this year. :) read more

I had the best time at the Faerie Festival for Children here, April 28th. The owner and all members of the team were so nice and attentive to the families attending the festival, made it feel truly magical. They had a lot of homemade delights, with creative names, like elf cake, faerie wands, witch Wands, Prince Charming wands, pixie popcorn and punch, everything glittery...the kids had a great time getting their face painted and interacting with characters from their favorite stories. They even had a 'real' unicorn!!! The surprise on both adults' and children's faces!!! Even on a regular day, entering the store, and being surrounded by all carefully picked, natural products, and their perfume, is pretty magical. Definitely want to go back! read more

Such a beautiful shop! I found plenty of nice jems to return with as well as new succulents to add to my garden. I seriously could have spent hours here. I just love this store, the smell of the potpourri and candles, the heirloom seeds, the gardening supplies, and the fairy garden out back. I bought some seeds and a candle here, and the sweet girl behind the counter handed it to me neatly wrapped with a sprig of fresh rosemary. Refreshing! read more

I went here once and loved it. Couldn't wait to go back. Second time will be the last. Two older women there cussed like a sailor whole time we shopped. Luckily kids weren't there. My husband goes to pay for our items (alone) and they are honest to God talking about trademarking the word "moist" and how victorias secret has the word "pink" on the crotch of their panties and what if it was the word "moist" instead. I've never been more disgusted. It's sad bc store is neat...too bad the employees are so crude. If it had been mean speaking in such a way in front of a female customer it would have been a lawsuit. read more

My family and I LOVED this place! Walking through the garden was a magical experience. My girls had fun looking at butterflies, and exploring the various garden decorations. The owner is very nice. She said that they have a fairy festival in April. When you go be sure to get on their mailing list so that you can be notified of any events. The actual store had tons of things that I wanted. I bought some very fragrant soaps. They put them inside a paper bag with tissue paper, ribbon and some herbs as decoration. It was such a nice little touch. Beautiful place. read more

We loved this place! So much to browse through inside, then I find out that there is this little magical garden in the back...loved it all!!

One of the most beautiful gardens I've ever been in! The store is an ecclectic mix of garden, mystical, relaxation, and shabby chic. Everything about it is magical, including the small house that it resides in. read more

What a FUN place to visit and this time I bought gift cards and a stuffed animal for a friends daughter. I adore the garden where faeries and frogs are hidden everywhere. Love this shoppe and boutique nursery. I purchased a Spanish Lavender plant, and hubby purchased some Lemon Verbena soap. The entire shoppe is quaint and filled to the rafters with sweet treasures. Outside they offer all kinds of herb type plants and succulents. When I purchased the Lavender plant, the lady behind the counter was so kind and patient as to answer all of my questions on caring for my new herbal treasure. Will go back again. Another "pawsitive" note they let us bring our small dog inside with us, on his leash, and also thru the nursery area. read more

What a wonderful little shop! Really well put together. The garden is so interesting and beautiful. Walk carefully so as to not harm any butterflies which are everywhere. I loved this place! read more

Love this amazing little shop. I received a gift of whipped body scrub last year from a friend from this shop that smelled and felt wonderful. When I finally visited the shop I instantly loved it. I stocked up on the homemade essential oils with scents with names like water lily, summer harvest and lilac. They have teas and potpourri you can buy by the ounce, cards, lotions, soap, honey, etc. Great gifts or a little something for yourself. unfortunately the garden was closed when we went so hoping to catch it next time I come. Check this place out. read more

I love this magical shop. Every time I'm in Cambria, I make sure to stop by. The garden is wonderful!

Painted black now and a name change from Heart's Ease to Spellbound Herbs. Sounds like a dispensary but isn't. The gardens are still really nice and it was a surprise and a delight to find my favorite Cambia clothing painter and designer, Pat Riley, there with her wares on a weekend I was in Cambria. Think she's there every weekend. Anyway, found some nice perfume but not much of the stuff I came for. Not a big potpourri girl but that's all still there. Kind of has a wiccan vibe to it now and the young lady who helped me was heavily pierced and tattooed and never greeted me. Not bad, just different and didn't have what I stopped in to find. Might go back for the great line of scents they carry but not for anything else. Doesn't seem like the best fit for the town. More suited to an edgy, larger city. read more

I have been going to Cambria every year for 25 years....including Spellbound Herbs (Hearts Ease). I love the charm and the aroma when you enter combined with the faint smell of the wood of the old house. The garden is beautiful and the fence going around it has little quails on every picket. It's as old as the house and adds to the charm. I have bought lavender from here forever! It is definetly worth the visit if your going to Cambria. Also, This wonderful 145 yr. old house is located on a corner, across from Robins (BEST Restaurant anywhere with the BEST pumpkin cheesecake). Also, across the main street from the Historical Society. Very interesting. I have pictures of this home when the house was surrounded by overgrown rose bushes and the roof was caving in, as well as the Squibb House before it was purchased and turned into a beautiful Bed and Breakfast Inn. Enjoy your visit to Cambria....for me, it's my favorite place!!! Spellbound Herbs is my first place to go every time I visit :) read more
