My family and I were treated to a meal at this restaurant and it was an unforgettable experience!…read more From the mama pig and babies that we could see while we waited for our food, to the horse drawn coach and animals scurrying about outside, to the family who was yodelling/performing in a schoolroom looking room nearby, and the dramatic "planned" indoor thunderstorm replete with lights going out and lanterns lit as well as sound effects that sounded real, we were treated to a night of great times!
A food critic was there, too, so we got to watch him evaluate his meal. Of course, he was speaking in German but our friend translated for us. He even took our picture while we were there, too!
The food was magnificent. I know there are millions of versions of macaroni and cheese but the Appenzeller cheese on my daughter's mac was superb. We dream about it, even though we haven't been there for almost five years now!
The sunset was beautiful, the setting unique,and I would highly recommend this place to you. It's a little pricey but it's worth it. Save your bucks for this one!
