We have only recently needed care for our pets (in the past we always had family members stay) so this was a scary step for us. And Dr. Crowe knocked our socks off. She transformed our highly anxious (even when medicated), stressed-out pup into her buddy. She engaged kindly with him, was not fearful, got down on his level, and genuinely seemed to like him. She distracted him with games and treats and snuggles and was able to administer three vaccinations easily. My husband had stopped in one day to get some pricing information for vaccines, exams and grooming. Ultimately, we chose to keep them at the low-cost animal clinic for their health needs, but really liked the pricing and offerings available in regards to grooming. My first impressions were that the facility is very neat and clean, and the staff was very personable and professional. We were greeted, and I could tell that they were expecting us. Laramie, the groomer, came out right away to discuss our wants/needs, any behavioral concerns, and the possibility of needing sedation. All of this information was previously discussed when I completed the online request for an appointment and again during the phone call to finalize the appointment. I appreciate their thoroughness. It made me feel good knowing that nothing was going to happen that we hadn't previously discussed without it being discussed once more for confirmation! I did receive a text a couple hours later, stating that because my babies had been a little scared, Laramie was taking her time and giving them breaks. She updated me on the expected pick-up time as well. In all, Cali and Oreo (my kitties) were in their care for 5 hours. All of our "pain points" were taken care of. They were bathed - shampooed and conditioned, their nails were trimmed, and they even received an all-over trim of their fur. The texture of their coats was noticeably different and they smelled amazing. I'm not sure if they enjoyed their spa day or not, but my husband and I were so happy to see them all trimmed and cleaned up. I had sent with each of the kitties their favorite catnip toys for comfort and Cali's was missing when we got home. I called the animal hospital right away and after a brief hold, I was told that they didn't see it. But since it wasn't in the carrier and they'd only been there, I knew that it would turn up. I texted the groomer, asking her to call me once it was found and we'd happily come collect it anytime. Shortly thereafter, I received a call that they'd found it. She was reunited with her pink champagne bottle spouting feathers the very next day! We will definitely book with them again. Our littlest kitty has never been professionally groomed, so she's next. The grooming prices are very reasonable, and while they could have insisted on sedation, earning them an additional $170, they did not. I saw one review claiming that they were "money hungry", and to be honest we expected a call about needing sedation for that very reason, but I really don't think that they are.
