I received a few quotes with varying prices and couldn't decide, therefore I also did a Google search of reviews of the various places to help me make my decision of where to take my vehicle. GP, which is 45 mins away from my home, and an hour in traffic from my work, quoted me a flat rate with parts and labor included, which was $20 more than a shop in my neighborhood. The removal and install was fast, and the gentleman was very professional. My bill was actually $20 more than the flat rate quoted. Therefore, I ended up paying $40 more than I would have paid had I gone to a local shop, 1hour 45 mins driving, and a 1/4 tank of gas. Pricey lesson learned. However, I'm grateful that my windshield is fixed before winter. I recommend this location for folks who live in the area. It's clean with a comfortable waiting room. Also, if you're low in cash, make sure you know that "flat rate" doesn't mean the same to everyone. Use the Project tool to receive quotes, etc, but do extra homework and know exactly how much a service will cost you in exact pricing, considering your travel (gas) expenses, and time when comparing.

Since I decided to go through my insurance company, they were able to connect with the insurance company and take care of the paper work. They kept me up to date during the entire process, texting or calling me with updates, from the moment I made the claim with my insurance company to the day of installation of the windshield. They let me know what the insurance company would cover, when they placed the order and arrival of the windshield. They came the same day as the delivery of the windshield to install it. They entire process took 3 days. I was so pleased at how professional, clean and meticulous they were with everything. Took my brand new vehicle in to this location twice. First time was for undercoating. To keep the…read more'warranty' in effect they wanted me to pay a $50 annual fee to inspect the undercoating for any chips or spots where the sealant would have come off. Basically after 4 years of annual inspections I would be paying for another complete undercoating job. When I asked the owner why I had to pay for something that should be covered he started giving me a sales pitch like I was a 16 year old kid with his first car and knowing nothing about nothing. He became argumentative and defensive of their 'warranty' conditions. Second time was for a tiny stone chip repair. There was no crack, only a minor chip. After the 'technician' got finished with the repair it was far worse with not only a large crack filled (that he caused) but now I have about a half-dollar sized area of the windshield that looks like it's concave and nearly impossible to see through. I've had two other accredited glass repair shops as well as three car guys that know vehicles inside and out and each one of them said that the 'technician' did a hack job on the windshield. I will NEVER, and I repeat, NEVER bring my vehicle there again. I will now have to replace the windshield due to their ineptness and lack of skill in repairing auto glass.

Chris advised, "usually not required, unless the damage is due to an accident." The $220 includes a lifetime warranty for wind and water leaks. I have one small gripe. They removed my windshield before verifying that the (one) windshield they had in-stock was usable. It was not usable - chipped. Thankfully they were able to find another windshield at a nearby distributor. The repair was completed only 45 minutes late. It was frustrating watching other customers arrive and depart while I waited. The downsides? Sketchy neighborhood = low rent. Waiting room is spartan and not exactly tidy. No coffee. No WiFi. No TV. Yard sale seating. But saving $400-$700 makes these inconveniences ... irrelevant. Will I use MCAG again? Yes! (But I would not let my wife go there alone.)
