A-16 was the first I called and Nabil, the owner, told me immediately that he had the parts I needed and he would call me back when they were ready. True to his word he called within an hour and about an hour later I had the spare window, which was $75, less than the $220 the dealership quoted. A-16 are an awesome business. They have used parts, gently-used parts, reconditioned parts, refurbished parts and can get you new parts as well. I had a small crack in my rear light unit that was going to cost me around $400 through the dealership to get the part. Nabil got me a replacement after-market, new part for $115. If you have any need for parts for your car, and are ok with gently used, then please give A-16 a call. If they don't have it they can get the part for you at way less than the dealerships.

This was closer, and although I was slightly hesitant because of the one review, I'm glad I took a chance. They were excellent. Kyle (Manager) and Marcos were patient with my questions and fabulous on the service. Kyle even did a quick fix on my air filter. I was missing the latches that keep the enclosure where the air filter is housed closed. He asked if I would mind a temporary and complimentary fix, which was a simple screw to close it shut till I got replacement latches. Simple, yes, but kind and generous? Damn right. I purchased a synthetic oil change as well as replacement headlight bulbs that had gone out during my drive up to Ottawa (people must have hated me for my usage of high beams- but what can you do!)

Imagine my shock when the bill included $125 for the oil change and $190 for the "transmission service" I contacted the company and they said the fee is their accepted cost for the service rendered and they weren't adjusting their fee. With an official paper from my doctor stating I cannot go back to work until the specified date and time of my recovery. They used my being off work due to an injury at work to say I am not reliable to continue working there. The person called Moe "Mohamad'" was insulting me in Arabic language by saying I have told you this 200 times already, when I am on the computer assisting a customer, in front of the customer, he comes to the keyboard and pushes my hands away and says in Arabic out of the way, out of the way... He uses his cell phone all the time and talks in Arabic to his friends to bring their cars after work hours, and he does work for them on his friends cars and gets paid cash and puts it in his pockets. When I mentioned that to the manager Mr. Evan Karcha, also Mr. Cory King who I respect very highly, their response was, thank you for telling us this, will look into it. The first time I mentioned that to Mr. King, he said to me, I am not going to waist 4-5 hours to look at the cameras to see Moe stealing stuff from the shop worth $100-$150. When I brought this to the store manager, Mr. Evan Karcha, all he had to say is that these people are young. And that I am the problem and he called me on the phone to tell me that I am fired. So if an 18 year old by the name of Moe controls Mr. Lube and the managers and the shop, then this is a disgusting act and mess. I am going to expose these people and these guys to all of Canada. The business is terrible. Do not bring your cars into this shop on Walkley and Bank Street in Ottawa, Ontario. Last week they filled a car with oil twice. The employee name is Matt and the other is Isaac. They both oiled the car and they told the owner of the car to drive away. And his engine blew up. All the management team did, was write a piece of paper and give it to them that they have a note on their file. But for an employee as myself who worked extremely hard and I would do the garbages, I would clean the toilets, clean after others, and making sure the shop is operating properly and my sweat are still in the shop as to how hard I worked in this place and how I got badly treated. Who ever reads this article, please do not take your vehicle to this location or any Mr. Lube locations because they do not deserve your money and they are there to rip people off.
