*BUYER BEWARE** On…read moreJune 28th we purchased a 2023 MadJax golf cart. Morgan was/is our sales associate and the process started off smooth. We live in the Tampa area and paid the $500 for delivery. Morgan told us he hoped to have the cart to us by July 4th. On the 3rd, we had not heard from him and checked in. Trying to communicate with anyone there has been extremely challenging. Morgan apologized for the delay and assured us he was doing everything he could to get it to us asap. He wanted to make sure the cart had a thorough inspection and this was what caused the delay. On the 10th, we called again to get an update. eWheelz wanted to deliver the cart around July 12th, but we would be out of town. We asked that it be delivered when we returned on the 14th. We were told that wouldn't be a problem. On the 12th, I received a call from their transport company. The driver asked when he could bring it. I, again, said the 14th. He asked if there was any way he could come Sunday the 13th. We made it work. He informed me he would be taking it home for the weekend. Odd, but at this point we just wanted it in our posession. Sunday came and the driver could not get his 40ft trailer throught the entrance of our gated community. We had to meet him outside on a very busy road to drive it off. We got it and thought that would be it. Much to our surprise, it wasn"t. The brake lights and blinkers do not work. And the brakes are very slow to stop. In addition to these issues, the cart itself was filthy. Not because of the drive over. Because it sat on their lot for quite some time. What happended to that inspection that caused the delay in the first place? After trying to get in touch with Morgan several times, we finally heard from Reece. We asked Reece if we could take it to our local golf cart dealer (in hindsight, we should have bought from them) and eWheelz pay for the above mentioned issues. Or, we could simply return the cart for a full refund. Reece apologized and gave the approval for us to get repaired and eWheelz would pay for it. Fast forward a few days and now we are exactly one month out from the purchase date. We have called and emailed Reece several times, no reply. What's even more frustrating is that it's clear multiple employees have access to the main email. So, they are seeing this and not one person is helping. I have called this past Saturday (7/26), emailed, called twice today (7/28). Nothing..... No one can help and Reece is unavailable. As of today, we have paid out of pocket for the repairs that were supposed to be paid by ewheelz. We are still waiting to hear from from someone. Anyone! I would steer clear of this business. Clearly customer service is not a priority. **Edit - I posted this same review on their FB page. The comment was deleted and I was blocked. This should tell you everything you need to know about eWheelz.

The short version-…read more All of the staff at this location know golf cars/ golf carts inside and out. Rene says that they treat their customers as they would like to be treated themselves and this is so obvious in every single interaction I've had with them. They are friendly and fair and honest. The long version- I called Golf & Electric Vehicles last month (Phillips Highway location in Jacksonville FL) to set up a golf car / golf cart rental for my 86 and 87-year-old parents. My dad's driving situation had changed. Renting was giving our family time to decide if maybe a golf car would be a good option for them for transportation around their community in the future. We had already rented a cart for our parents for 2 weeks from a different vendor- whose prices were higher and who was literally impossible to reach on the phone when we were hoping to extend the rental for longer. We are so lucky that we found this company instead of trying to continue on with the first vendor. Rene is an absolutely fantastic first impression -and continuing impression- of this company. She made a reservation for a rental cart for us over the phone, recommended to choose their monthly rate instead of weekly rate because it saves a TON of $$ (we had been thinking of going week to week), arranged to drop it off at my parents' residence. She also talked with me for awhile about what to seek and what to avoid if we decided to purchase a car/cart in the future, answered some random questions I had and was just overall so nice and helpful- it was so easy to talk to her. She even said that if we were looking at purchasing a cart from a different vendor, to feel free to call her with any questions about it beforehand ! We ended up canceling the rental because we found a very clean used cart for purchase (at an unbelievable price at a gated community garage sale !) on the weekend before the rental was to be delivered. Rene was so cool about the change in plans and she again spent time talking with me on the phone about the new cart- making sure we knew how to charge it and maintain the proper water level in the batteries and answering more random questions about getting it set up for my parents. My mom really wanted seat belts in their cart. When I asked about getting aftermarket ones installed, Rene actually told me that if my brother is handy at all (and he totally is!), HE could buy and install a seat belt kit himself for way less $$ than having them do it. I wouldn't have known- and how many other companies would have taken advantage of someone who clearly didn't know ? Rene also mentioned a service special for $99- which we did. The price includes pickup and drop-off. They put the cart up on a lift and checked literally everything from top to bottom, bumper to bumper, wheels and tires, battery, brakes, lights, electric, everything. They cleaned all of the corrosion off of the battery terminals, tightened all of the connections and cables, tires are all at proper pressures now, proper water level in batteries- and then they also (for additional charge, quoted before they did the work) replaced all of the bushings- some of them had been broken when my dad hit the wheels against a curb near their residence soon after acquiring the cart. This link shows everything included in the $99 inspection/ service - https://www.gevehicles.com/parts-service Mike was the driver who picked up my parents' cart at their residence- on a flatbed trailer- and then delivered it back after the service and repairs were completed- he was always smiling and friendly, great communication too to let us know when he was on the way to us. I've also spoken with John and Troy on the phone with questions over the past few weeks- both of these guys are also friendly and so informative, helpful and kind. There are alot of retirement and independent living /assisted living communities in and around Jacksonville- this place has hooked up many of these residents with carts. They know what modifications for carts make it easier for seniors and will advise if something is important as opposed to unnecessary/optional. Like when Rene called me with the quote for parts and labor for replacing the bushings on my parents' cart- she said that this was NOT a critical issue, that it could be done at any time in the future. She understood that my parents are on fixed income and was honest that it would not hurt the cart in the least or cause future/ worse problems if we needed to hold off on it. After this service and repair process on this cart, we know everything is solid. We don't expect anything unforeseen to go wrong with it but Rene has assured us again that we should call them anytime we have questions or concerns. For a family new to the world of golf cars, this type of service is SO important and so cool. Along with renting and repairs, they also sell new, reconditioned, used- very nice website with pictures.
