I have to say, this is the best Speedway location I've visited so far. Many Speedways have no public bathroom, but this location actually has TWO bathrooms. There are also plenty of gas pumps (16 in total), divided into two long islands, instead of four short ones, and the two entrances/exits along Post Road are well away from the gas pumps.
The way the building, parking lot, gas pumps and parking spaces are laid out is very simple, logical and even eye pleasing. Honestly, the layout of this gas station should be the model for all gas stations with a convenience store. Whichever architect(s) designed this gas station should get an award for design excellence, in my opinion. It is very easy to navigate the parking lot and park at the store without fighting with cars that are trying to get gas.
Furthermore, the location itself is also good. It is far enough away from the intersection of Post Road and Elmwood Avenue that it is not too difficult to pull back out onto Post Road (even if you have to turn left, without a dedicated turning lane).
Inside, the store is also well organized, well stocked and clean, including the bathrooms. The two employees on duty around noontime Monday seemed to be enjoying their jobs, judging by their laughter.
While the landscaping, building facade and interior are not as fancy as a Seasons Corner Market (my favorite gas station convenience store chain), nevertheless, this location is as good as it gets for a Speedway. read more
