If I could give it NO STARS, I would. I will never came back to this or any other Walgreens again…read more I have been loyal and faithful customer who fought to get one built in my NW Detroit neighborhood 25 years ago. Closing that one has caused great problems trying to get any prescription out of this one for over 3 months. I have had MORE PROBLEMS with 3 Walgreens nearest to my home in the last 2 years than I had in 15 years I was in Monroe. But the problems here will end up killing someone if they don't fix it. It has taken me so long and multiple times to just get my prescription. Over a week at a times and now instead of putting what I had tried to get since Monday back on my profile so I could try another Walgreen's, it was deleted. I have to call my doctor to have it resent to my new drug store - CVS. Others in the long line told me how many times the had come to get what their doctor prescribed. Store managers have told me closing the Evergreen and 7 Mile store means that a 1000 prescriptions are coming to this store. But that has been happening for now a long while and corporate is not doing anything to correct the problems. No added staff or hours. In fact this store has less staff and hours than Monroe MI locations have. All the Walgreens near me do, but Monroe has much less minority population. Do they think it OK to give us less service because we are in an area with high minority population !!!!????;!! WTF!!!! What will it take, someone dying while waiting for days to have a prescription to be filled. I can just switch to a different company, but seniors might not be able to do that. Because of the service I have received and the problems, Walgreens lost a loyal life long customer with a big month.

Now for the food - We got a few meats--turkey pastrami, corned beef and a "wildcard" (I let the staff pick, and whatever it was it was good). We also got the special spices etc. I do prefer a more of an Italian sandwich on a hard roll, so I'm not sure the soft onion roll is for me. If you like a cold sandwich un-toasted and generally basic with a bit of a twist, you will love this! My husband and I enjoyed the sandwich (split it, and they put mayo on half at my request). It's a charming spot, quality food and I'm glad we tried it. Skip the spicy potato salad. It was bland, sadly.

I had the 2 meats (turkey and turkey pastrami) with everything sans pickles plus love spice on an onion roll. I'm beyond satisfied and it was divine! The price was reasonable for a deli sandwich at $10 before tax and 4% card fee. I usually go for corned beef at the deli, but this was a leaner yet equally tasty option in an attempt to be more health conscious. Needless to say, I'll be back! Thanks, ladies!

Bob and his son, Andrew, own and run this store and on a recent Monday a woman in her 90s entered the store confused and in a bit of angst unaware of where she was and how to get her disabled vehicle operating again. Bob was there that night. Instead of dismissing her he treated her with kindness and helped her get in touch with both the necessary public services and her daughter.
