This place is an average QT. They do it all here, and they do it pretty nice for a gas station…read moreplace. This is a road trippers dream! Their bathrooms here are immaculate. The coffee is hot, fresh and good. The serve yourselves stations appeal to the mixologist in me. I can get a custom blend of anything I choose. Slushes, Soft drinks, teas and beer. The donuts and pastries are rather expensive, and if you come later in the day the full selection is unavailable, and what is left looks picked over. Also they have quick foods. I have tasted their pizza and breakfasts sandwiches and while they are nothing to write home about, they are not bad either. The pizza has the time of day it was baked so you know how fresh it is, but they do cheat. For example, I am writing this review at 1:09PM , and the box of pizza I have in my hand says it was made at 1:26 PM. So be careful. Other than that... These QT's are popping up everywhere, and so far with competitive gas prices. Decent food, clean bathrooms and very noteworthy, bringing jobs to the neighborhood. There is some room for improvement, but overall I am happy to see them coming.

They have a great rewards program (free to sign up - ask the employee at the counter) that offers everything from gas discounts to free gift cards and merchandise. Gas prices are always very competitive, and the interior of the store is always clean. Their coffee is usually pretty good as well. Although it's a little bit out of the way for me, I try to make regular trips out here. It's much better than many alternatives around this area.

I handed my lottery ticket to turn it in. He kept talking to the other employee. Then he finally said. What do you want? I told him, I wanted to buy some lines for the lottery. I'm new to the area so I don't know what the name of the local lottery is called. I wanted one line on the power, one line on the mega, and one line on the NC lottery. He rolled his eyes and gave me the tickets without any response. It turned out that it was called Cash 5. This is the rudest interaction I have had anywhere in Charlotte. I'm living in the Cambridge Commons neighborhood and will drive farther to not give this station my money. I was so put off by his horrible attitude that I forgot to see if they had newspapers. So we went over to Food Lion. They were out and told me to go to the gas station. I told them no thank you! The guy there is miserable and rude! I think that BP as a "store" gets a (perhaps warranted) bad rap due to the vast majority of independent owners putting very little resources into the upkeep of their shops. Earp's appears to be the mirror opposite with great facilities and friendly staff. If you're coming into Charlotte from the Stanley County area then Earp's is especially convenient for you with a right turn in and a right turn out. If you're leaving town then I would suggest stopping here rather than somewhere else later because a lot of the convenience stores and gas stations beyond here are a bit sketchy. Staff-wise, Earp's is a breath of fresh air with genuinely happy people behind the counter. The selection of coffee is uncommon for a gas station as well. The only C-store I've seen with a wider array of coffee and tea is perhaps Sheetz (which you won't find within 50 miles of here). With only the Speedway convenience store across the street to compete with at this corner, Earp's is the clear winner. Ive got this place pinned on the map for my couple of trips a week to Albemarle from now on!
