North of Uptown Charlotte, this gas station was the cheapest on my drive to Huntersville. Obviously, if you can wait 20 or so miles to get across the border into South Carolina at Carowinds, you'll want to do that and save 10 cents or so per gallon thanks to their lower fuel taxes in that state. But if not, here you go. Clean, well lit, roomy even. It is located immediately off the highway adjacent to the northbound entrance ramp. Super easy. Stopped at QT for a quick fill up on a Saturday afternoon. There were not a lot of people and it was easy to get in and out. I was able to be hands free at the pump and didn't have to physically insert my card. If only I didn't have to touch the pump to put the gas in lol. I didn't go inside today but they do have hot food options, deli options and fresh fruit. They also have a picnic table outside if you need a place to rest and eat for a few minutes. read more

It's a typical QuikTrip but good. Good prices for gas, Restroom \sare clean and well maintained and serviced. I like QT and this one is very good. Over the course of a few years, QT has gone from a brand no one in CLT knew about to the Top Tier convenience store. I'll be honest, I love Sheetz a bit better, but the closest one is 40mi away and QuikTrip is far above and beyond your typical corner gas station. This location is one of the original stores in Charlotte, and fittingly it is the first one I've seen that is getting an exterior face lift. It can be a bit of a pain to get in and out of solely due to the volume of customers, but many stop because you know its going to be relatively clean and well stocked. As early as 4am construction crews and landscaping teams will be hitting the drink coolers for their daily supplies. By 7am the place is flooded with everyone from Uptown suits & ties to parents with their kids going to school. Fortunately with all the traffic this store has, they do have a dedicated traffic light with plenty of 'runway' to line up to. Parking is tight up front so many of the regulars just pull up to the perimeter curb out of the way. I've been here a handful of times and they're quick on the draw when the lines get long and they swiftly get more associates on registers. I just love how their system can handle two transactions at the same time, placing two customers on either side of a register. While the customer on the left is swiping his/her card and waiting for approval, the associate can scan the right-side customer's stuff and keep the system flowing. Genius. I came in today to try their new Cold Brew and honestly I didn't have the bar set real high, but to my surprise it was actually a very good cup of coffee! It's brewed in store, poured to order, and at $2 it is a steal compared to most cold brews. Profile was mild & smooth, hints of cocoa and subtle berry-like flavor. There are boutique roasters in Charlotte who would be happy to develop the flavor that this cup has. The only con I had was my own doing. I asked for the sweet cream and it made it too sweet. That actually bodes well for the coffee as it means it will likely stand well on its own without cream or sugar. I'll be damned. So while I normally splurge for local Charlotte roasted Coffee and do the cold brewing myself at home, I have to admit that this is an excellent product. I'm going to have to sit down and do the math, but I might be better off $$-wise just going to QT from now on. Stay caffeinated my friends! read more

It's just a gas station - but it is a GOOD gas station. They literally have everything. EVERYTHING. Gas, food, snacks, coffee bar, soda and tea bar. Hot food, ice cream, breakfast, lunch, and everything in between. The gas is always priced competitively and the areas are always clean. Inside the store is always clean as well, and the employees always pleasant. My son loves their soft serve here. read more

I typically go to this gas station for the FREE AIR...which is a good gimmick because lets think about if you get me there for the free air I may possible spend money on gas or maybe even buy something inside! Many other QT's have Ethanol Free, this one should take a hint?! My car likes to drink old dinosaurs and not corn. Yes...its a carnivore at heart! We if your vehicle is not happy, maybe you could be? Visit inside the one of a kind convenience store! They feature a giant array of fountain drinks, slushies, chips and other such snacks along with beef jerky, and for the odd ones among us, I believe I even noticed turkey jerky and mechanically separated chicken sticks with spices! You can find soft drinks in cans and bottles as well as various alcoholic beverages for those who like to indulge in a semi-controled substance and tie one on! Cigarettes you say? Oh yeah, as much nicotine as you can shake a stick at! If ice cream is your vice, look no further! Theres all varieties to satisfy the dairy, or non-dairy lover in all of us! $0.49 soft serve...oh yeah give me two of those suckers on a hot day. I always start to question my life choices, whenever I eat gas station food. This place is a monster of variety and convenience. Ever since I quit smoking I rarely go inside gas stations, but this place came highly recommended by a coworker. On their rotisserie thing they have hot dogs, corn dogs, sausages, and taquito like things. They're all 2 for 2.22. If you forgot your lunch that day or just hate yourself, these will fill that void in your stomach (just not in your soul). They also have a number of pre-maid sandwiches and salads in a cooler section. There appeared to be some sort of counter where you could also order hot pretzels and ice cream. If sugar is your thing or you're gunning for diabetes, they have over twenty different flavors of slushies. Cup sizes range from large to absurdly dangerous. They also have a large variety of coffees and flavored teas. Their cooler selection of sodas and beers seems to be along typical standards. If you ever get a bout of self loathing, this is the place to act out on it. You'll be thrilled with the bright colors and whirling machines. All the amazing choices in food and beverage, which will all fade after the horror of what you've consumed has set in. read more

Usually have a good experience inside QuikTrip but I went into QT on Tuesday morning to get some coffee and had a different experience. The line was very long but the checkout process went smoothly and I was on my way to work quickly. Towards the end of my coffee I began to hear rattling. I opened it up and discovered there was a piece of metal hardware in my drink. Needless to say, I was not happy about that. Not sure I'll be going back there for any kind of dispensed drink. read more

Great gas station with pumps that dispense gas quickly. Probably 16 pumps here. Pumps have hold open levers, so you don't have to stand outside in the hot or cold. Additionally, there is a free air machine for your tires. There's occasionally a line, but that's a small price to pay for air.... which is kind of ridiculous to ever pay for when you think about it. The outlet for this gas station is at a light, so you can head left or right on Sunset. Well lit at night time for us folks interested in safety. Never been inside, so no comment there. read more

Went to QT today to price some food products and compare them with groceries stores because I was wondering if purchasing at the local QT vs. a full service grocery store would be beneficial because it's takes awhile to travel to a grocery store. I was met with intrusive questions asked from some of the employees (I.e. Are you writing down expiration dates?), and then told by a manager that I needed corporates permission to write down prices of products sold at QT. That's incorrect. I am a consumer and customer, and if I feel the need to write down prices to budget my money properly so that I can eat healthier foods instead of sercuming to the pressures of eating low-quality, high-in-sodium and sugar foods, then I will and I have a right to. Also, keep in mind I was causing no disturbance and kept to myself. If there was an issue I should have been told quietly rather than in the middle of the store in front of other customers. I am disappointed that the community is unaware that food deserts and frequent shoppers of convenience stores exist. read more
