Looking up stores in the area on a Thursday morning around 4:00 A.M., we noticed this Walgreens was open! We ended up stopping by to pick up some Dayquil, Nyquil, and some cherry throat lozenges. It's right next to the I-4 and pretty close to the Walt Disney World properties! The store is clean and well organized! The staff that was there early morning was helpful and asked if we needed anything during our visit at Walgreens!

When I walked in I made my way to the snack/candy section just to do a quick browse. They were having a sale on candy items and I thought why not grab a few. After making my selections I went to the checkout area. This store has a zig zag entrance that forces everyone to go the same route. At first I had no idea where the line was and thought I was meant to go to where the exit it for the area. Finally found the entrance to the check out area. It was quick, especially since I am signed up to receive my receipt via email. Asked if I wanted a bag but I stuffed it in the one I already had.

It is a smaller convenience store size than others within the area. They attempt to offer a wide selection but only have so much room to offer items. I looked in the cooler section as I was looking for a certain brand of water, unfortunately for me, they did not have that brand. I then looked for other drinks, but like I said, limited space equates to limited selection. I did a quick once over of the shelves for snacks, but again, limited space/variety. To note, they offer Shell gasoline here. Prices are competitive on this strip of road.

What else has access to this gas station, a majority of the hotels in the area. If you happen to have a rental car, this is most likely the last place you will pass to fill that beast back up. Smart on their part. Along with the Mobil fuel there is a convenience store attached. Although I had been here twice during my stay, I did not step foot inside to tell you what they have. Pay at the pump. On the pumps that were up and operational. Not all of them work, you will end up at a bag covered pump if you do not pay attention. They also have a carwash on the property if you need such a service. Easy stop if you are going back to the airport.

Not seeing anything worth taking I headed to the register. The one item I did want was one behind the register. They had exactly what I was looking for and the employee working was quick. She also prompted me if I had the app, saving me a few dollars in the transaction. It is weird to see a Wawa out of its natural habitat. But worthwhile to see it thriving.

The store was well lit and spacious aisles made it easy to browse. Despite the fact that it was almost closing time when we visited, this Publix was bustling. The store appeared clean inside. The produce we purchased was fresh. We were surprised to see a huge Disney section ( tee shirts, hats, and many other assorted souvenir items ) in this store but after all, this Publix is located in a tourist area. This Publix is exactly what you'd expect from this beloved Florida chain. The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate, if a little dingy and worn down on the outside. The aisles are spacious, the shelves are well-stocked, and it's simple to find both everyday essentials and specialty items. Their produce and bakery sections are great here, with colorful and appealing fresh fruits and veggies and a large bakery that has a decent selection of breads, cakes, cookies, and pies. There's a nice prepared foods section too, which is great if you want a quick and healthier meal in your hotel room without having to cook. This location isn't fancy, but it carries a ton of different brands. As with all Publix supermarkets, the prices are on the higher side. This isn't the store to shop if you're looking for a bargain. The staff seems competent and helpful, and I didn't have to wait long at all to check out. Parking is free and convenient too, which is a big plus in the Orlando resort area. This location also sells Disney souvenirs. I picked up some adorable Minnie Mouse pencils that I just couldn't resist for less than $5.

But not every oasis is a good oasis. For it's purpose as a gas station, this location definitely serves that purpose. As for a convenience store...well...it's not far off the mark. But also does not hit the mark totally. I walked here from my hotel to get a few things. Drinks, snacks, smokes. I did this mostly because I didn't want to have to run around when I got back home finally. This was a stop about total convenience. After a walk here I was ready to browse the shelves. I noticed their area where they had prepared items, but I didn't have that in mind. Instead, I was going to browse the prepackaged snacks. They had some sales happening which may have persuaded me in some purchases. I grabbed a few things, headed to the register, asked for an item behind the register, and paid. Contrary to how this was displayed on Yelp, it is not closed (hopefully that has been corrected). I walked in and decided to browse to grab anything that I hadn't already think of. It is a smaller location, but has a majority of what is expected. I checked the coolers and did not see anything else that I would need, or warranted a buy. Browsed through the few aisles they had and of course everything I was thinking about grabbing they were out of. This location does offer gas, not just a convenience store. Prices appear to be competitive with competitors.

It's clean and you'll find the usual convenience store items here. You'll also find some hot food items. Restrooms are also clean. Gas prices are decent enough; although, we've never gotten gas here because I know places where it's cheaper. Not that many pumps either, so you may have to wait a few minutes to get one. I stopped in prior to check in to load up on water as not to pay the astronomical prices at the hotel. This location seems to sell plenty of souvenirs as well. People were lined up to buy tshirts and other goodies. It was actually the longest line I have seen at Walgreens in a while. The pharmacy was closed at 6p on Sunday. I was hoping it was open as a way to circumvent the long line. The store was well stocked and the cashier was very nice. I would definitely recommend this pit stop if you are in the area.
