This was one of the best service we have ever gotten here in the Outerbanks. Most is lukewarm but over here folks are greeting you from the very first step you go in. The guy who is ringing everyone up was very nice as well. Now let's talk about the biscuits. Biscuits so famous they start coming in hot at 5:30 am. Biscuits so famous that there's always a guaranteed line! Biscuits so famous they have a rather fascinating name accompanying it. It was great especially for breakfast we came back at 7:00 am determined to get some of those biscuits goodness and we got it piping hot and delicious. Prices are affordable and great selection. I love places like this unassuming but delightful! So whenever you are in the Outerbanks. Give them a try! Friendly service and good affordable food!

Luckily the grill in the gas station serves hot dogs and this location is *just* across the county line. We ordered two hot dogs and a box of potato wedges. The women who took our order wasn't overly kind but efficient. We took a seat in one of the booths in the dining area behind the convenience store section of the building. There are several booths and tables that look out over the marina. We picked up the bag of food when it was ready. The dogs were bigger than we were expecting with good flavor and loaded with toppings. Equally as good were the wedges. Well seasoned and really hot. The perfect blend of small crispy ones and soft thick-boys. Really good. While the service and the ambiance were fine, the food pulled up this review. Thanks for letting me check off Tyrrell County!

I emailed them, expressing my interest in a few items. While I didn't expect a response until they were open, Fran invited me to stop by anyway (we had already departed the OBX). She was kind enough to process our order and ship it safely and securely to us. Again, all before they opened for the season! We were so very pleased with our purchases and the kind service. This continued today when Fran realized that they had charged us twice for our order, something I hadn't realized. She had issued a refund as soon as she learned about this and emailed me the receipt. Again, what an exceptional level of Customer service. We look forward to visiting Duck again and visiting with the good folks at Duck General Store in person!
