The guy who is ringing everyone up was very nice as well. Now let's talk about the biscuits. Biscuits so famous they start coming in hot at 5:30 am. Biscuits so famous that there's always a guaranteed line! Biscuits so famous they have a rather fascinating name accompanying it. It was great especially for breakfast we came back at 7:00 am determined to get some of those biscuits goodness and we got it piping hot and delicious. Prices are affordable and great selection. Yep Currently around twenty cents per gallon cheaper than stations in PA so not too bad although there were several stations nearby with prices that were a few pennies cheaper. Did I trip over any random tire shards, radiator parts or left behind wing nuts? No, but because of the rain holy crap were there some giant lakes, ooops I meant puddles, around the pump area so if it's raining hopefully you're wearing your Wellies. Easy on/off to the highway/road of my choosing? Check, as the on/off Croatan couldn't have been any easier and then it was a green light to Hatteras. Human intervention needed? This was one of the most disgusting gas station bathrooms I have ever seen. This 7-Eleven is…read morelocated along a highway where many people are traveling through and stopping for gas, food, and restroom breaks, so there is absolutely no excuse for the bathroom to be in this condition. My sister and I stopped specifically because we needed to use the restroom. There were only two stalls. One toilet was completely clogged and unusable. The handicap-accessible stall was technically usable, but there was an unidentified liquid and brown substance all around the toilet and on the floor. The smell and condition of the bathroom were so awful that my sister kept gagging and ultimately could not even use the restroom because she was so disgusted. I understand that public restrooms can get messy, especially at busy gas stations, but this was far beyond a bathroom simply needing to be tidied up. It was extremely unsanitary and genuinely concerning from a health and cleanliness standpoint. At minimum, the clogged toilet should have been marked out of order and the other stall should have been properly cleaned and sanitized. For a location that serves so many travelers, the condition of this restroom was completely unacceptable.
